Candidates continue to confuse the people with mixed messages.  Actions do not match intentions or stated positions:

Obama:  Once agreed to not take private funds for his campaign and would stick to government funding should he make it to the general election.  OK thats fine, but the question.... If you have found out that the millions of "little donations" make up far more revenues to your campaign, instead of big govt. funds, then how is it you can't apply this proven theory to your position on taxes?  Sen. Obama, I believe you mentioned once that taxes are for CONTROL of the people as well as revenue.  Just how much CONTROL do you think you should have?

McCain:  Your stance on drilling for oil from the Florida everglades to ANWOR seems to have changed.  Democrats say you have flipped you position.  Oddly enough, the very opposition to your race who stand behind a theme of "REAL CHANGE" are taking you to task for illustrating the very thing they call for.  How do you respond to that?  If you changed your mind on offshore than why not ANWOR as well? If indeed you believe in States rights, and certainly Alaska supports having the opportunity as well as Florida, should they not be allowed as well?

Both very good questions.

Dems will say their tax increases will only effect those making over $200K, and we all know thats a crock. Repubs will always claim to be in favor of states rights, until it comes to gay marriage or medical marijuana then its Big Brother knows best.

Well shoot! I guess I'm glad I'm not some rich, pot smokin, gay guy!! LOL!

OK.. couldn't resist that one!

Looks today like the Democrats have backed away from the "nationalization" of refinerys or "socialized" oil. Nancy Pelosi says that domestic expansion of drilling is DOA. Well Ms.Speaker... the American people are forming a pretty good size ground swell of support for domestic production, and I'm sure that the Democrats will be very busy in the back room trying to find a spin out of this becomming the top single most important election year issue! I know they are in there right now swearing and screaming about it. Everyone is pulling their Bush qupee dolls out and sticking more pins in them as we speak!

My honest suprise here, is that the Global Warming enviromentalist have not come out swinging against all this! My guess is they too are trying to figure out how to stop the stampede of Americans saying clean air my behind! I can breathe just fine! Screw the cute animals, I need gas!

Cont. You enviromentalist LIED about the Polar Bear, LIED about DDT, LIED about temps going up as admitted by NOAA, LIED about the planet's issue as admitted by NASA, LIED about glaciers and polar ice problems!

I'm pumping gas almost 3 TIMES more expensive than when you promised me you would lower it from just 2 bucks a gallon, and the Republicans, are not just talking... they have a plan, and all the libs do is put it down with kume-by-ya hippy talk! You LIED about it being "Big Oil" and Obama says he's only sorry that the price went up so fast that it grabbed America's attention! IOWs he doesn't care that the price is up, just that we noticed!

I want the answers to those questions! From both campaign websites, is there a way people ask and get an answer too or is it just for the media? Great questions!

I imagine you can go to the websites of either but what you likely will get is the political answer of the day based on some internal polling.

Abunai, all I can do is apologize and explain another day, Fox has stepped in again, however here is some history that may help clear matters up,

As this does not belong here on this topic and I didn't know where else to try to make peace with you, I put it here for you to make your own judgement. Please if you want delete this because Fox will intervene with in the next day or two to make EB, TAllen, and Candy behave. Thank you. All I was doing was trying to keep this from happening.

It is all the old smoke and mirrors game. As long as they can spin it they will and then deny it when they get caught. I am neither a Rep or a Dem becasue I do believe that both sides flip and flop based on personal agenda's so there is no "true" party lines but I am fed up with the way both sides "play" the population in general. I would love to see a time in this country when the "people" counted for more than the "politics" of the day.

SSDD , we are still being sold the same bill of goods...every morning I get out of bed and see the same thing FNC (Fox news national) asking yet another Democrat why we can't develop domestic oil and always the same exact answer “There is no oil” and the stonewall support for the idea that with a world wide energy problem it is all the USA's fault...we have not spent enough money . It is all in the “Obama Plan” RE: use fall less energy (about 80% less) and spend like mad on alternative energy...you know suffer and wait , he has even stated that we must be “fair” to the rest of the world and let them have more of the oil to use ...

I don't know what to say? Really! Feel free to delete this statement, so not to get in any trouble for it. Somethings I guess, will never change some people will be allowed to voice their opinions, and some will have to shut up.

All BS has been doing is pushing people into saying things and doing things they wouldn't have done, or said. Funny, now she throws CA under the bus with the rest. LOL Poor UB

Don't see anything wrong with that post Gammies61. The truth sometimes is painful. Some will avoid it at any cost. Didn't see where CA was thrown under the bus though, I'd like to see that! IMO, the socialist/liberal mindset practices such as throwing people under the bus. Remember that in the world of the "left" it is party and agenda FIRST! They took down Hillary in the election, before that they destroyed Liberman.

"next day or two to make EB, TAllen, and Candy behave" This is what I meant by throwing CA under the bus. She is saying CA needs to behave, but has no accountability for herself.

When all the smart people like you get banned, this site will not be worth a darn. It will be filled with copy and paste, and comments which have no purpose except to degrade and anger others. A lot of people will skip over the long drawn out continued comments, and never see the intent behind it. I read them, and saw for myself what her intent was. Yet, she's still here and doing her thing.
