....While I DO agree that David Cook has a "decent" singing voice...(and a great stage presence)....THIS song should NEVER be re-done...(unless by Blue Man Group)

Baba O'Riley by The Who

LIVE

Now, I DO think he did GREAT justice to this one....

Now, that's talent.

You didn't think I'd leave without putting up Miss Flack, did you?................

As you take in David Cook’s music, and you begin to listen to his music, and then replay and listen again and again, it starts to dawn on you that you are experiencing something unique. Yet you can’t put your finger on it. The music is haunting. It’s filled with emotion. The lyrics stay with you because David fills them with meaning. You hear the tunes in your head when you aren’t listening to the music, and you don’t want to get it out of your head. It’s addicting. DC’s techniques are mind-expanding, yet you enjoy every single second of it, and thirst to hear more.new.songs. DC does not disappoint. How could he? He has struggled within himself to perfect his music, to connect with his audience, to lift up his music to heaven and let God rain love and sunshine to all who will hear. LOVELY.PERFECTION. Music at it’s best, the artist is never satisfied and strives for more and more, even to his own detriment. He is so tired, yet he strives to continue to bring us his best. And his best is sometimes too hard for us to take in on one session. We have to hear it over and over again to really “get it.” DC is more than an artist, he is a teacher!

Not a single one of the past "American Idol's" has become and "American Idol".
They fade away as soon as the next season starts. (or you see them on TMZ on late night television stalked by the papparazzi).
I think you may need to turn off your television and get out for some fresh air.
