It would've been one of those tragic stories about how a Santa Ana jeweler lost perhaps thousands of dollars on her way to make a deposit. Instead, two men decided they couldn't just sit by and watch, so they got involved. One, an armed retired Orange County police officer, the other, a shopper on his way out of a drug store. The Good Samaritans followed the two fleeing suspects in their cars and "boxed" the robbers in on the street. Though the suspects escaped, despite the retired officer firing his gun at their car, they didn't elude cops for long. Other witnesses followed the suspects and directed officers to their location, where they were arrested. Everything was recovered and no one was hurt, although the suspects did ram one of the witnesses cars. Some times the good guys do win!

Good for them. Glad no one {the good guys} were not harmed. People need to at least pay attention sometimes just letting someone know you are there will stop them. Especially the cowards who take advantage of older people and kids.

Two more illegal Mexican criminals off the street, for now.Just 29,999,999,999 to go. And when these thugs get out on bail they'll run straight back to Mexico, where the government will refuse to extradite them.

Santa Ana - SANCTUARY CITY.

The OC's my beat for FOX 11 News. But you can catch me covering just about any story, any place, any time. Have news, will travel! I've been doing that here at Fox 11 for 15 years, traveling coast to coast and south of the border. You never know what you might do or where you might end up and your assignment could change from one minute to the next. To me, that's what being a reporter is all about. And it's pretty cool working in an area where I was born and raised. Yep, I'm a native Angeleno and proud of it!! In case you're wondering, Naipo is Hawaiian, the short version of the 21-letter ancestral name, Naipoikamanaihookaahi....
Good luck on the pronunciation.
