Two men attacked by a pit bull and a boxer say it was like a scene out of a movie...a never-ending scene.  It went on for about 10 minutes.  The dogs, on the loose, first attacked a Husky, then knocked down and repeatedly bit the owner, who jumped atop a car and finally attacked another man, shielding his wife, who looked on in horror.  Good news...the Husky and both victims will recover.  The pit bull and the boxer are in quarantine.  Neighbors say they hope the dogs aren't allowed back in their neighborhood.  Why these dogs lost it and attacked is anyone's guess.  I'm not here to bash pit bulls and boxers.  The facts in this case are clear.  No one should ever undergo such trauma just out for a walk around the block.

well i'm not much of a pet person for this exact reason. but not all dogs are like this. nor does this happen much in general. what i do hate are pet owners that are not responsible with owning their pets. i used to have to walk to the bus stop to get to school when i was in jr. then high school. walking down the street i would see atleast 2-4 neighbors with massive dogs left unattended, with their fences built way to low so it was easy for the dogs to jump over, or in many cases with the gate wide open. and many times for no reason at all, these dogs chased me, and tried to attack me. i shouldn't fear having to walk down the street due to a person pet.

The OC's my beat for FOX 11 News. But you can catch me covering just about any story, any place, any time. Have news, will travel! I've been doing that here at Fox 11 for 15 years, traveling coast to coast and south of the border. You never know what you might do or where you might end up and your assignment could change from one minute to the next. To me, that's what being a reporter is all about. And it's pretty cool working in an area where I was born and raised. Yep, I'm a native Angeleno and proud of it!! In case you're wondering, Naipo is Hawaiian, the short version of the 21-letter ancestral name, Naipoikamanaihookaahi....
Good luck on the pronunciation.
