As for those that seam to be so irritated when you see people not having to work as hard as yourself and I stand with you. There is a young lady I know that blogs in here, She is not of US back ground. You should take in a little consideration for all people when you are not happy with day to day situations. I being a decendant of German, Dutch, Scottish and native american indian would proudly stand and work with the lady I speak of any day of the year.

(When it is all said and done ask yourself if you are a 100% pure blood native born american indian and if your answer is NO. Then guess what ? You to are a decendant of an IMMIGRANT)
So PLEASE stand for what you believe in, speak that of what you know and believe in, But when looking down to another ethnic group. Have a little consideration in the words that you chose to express

Can you be more specific? I think your blog is too generalized (or I'm too in the dark) to get what you mean. Of course nearly all of us are descendents of immigrants. I really want to know your 'specifics.'

I have read alot of issues in here about illegal immigration BLAH BLAH BLAH and how one race thinks the other race has got it so easy. While most are expressing their thoughts in words in here (they themselves are not being specific so their words are reflecting on an entire ethnic group or just one type of immigrant.
There are people that comes in here to see what the people they do not have day to day actions with are like. They all are not native born americans, they all are not born with a silver spoon. Some have earned their place to work and live the same way or better then the people that so desire to point fingers everytime they think they have a point to express.
So as it is pointed out that I must have not been very specific, I am just asking people to give some of the same respect to people that they so claim to themselves. Just because my skin may be green does not mean because the rest of my ethnic group is not living here legally does not mean I am not !
Just because my brothers skin is red and he walked into your sisters store with food stamps does not mean he is tring to get a free ride. When he actually worked for your father for 15 years and your father could not afford to keep him on and forced him into unemployment.
As I am tring to be more expressive so people see my point. I am asking that before you express yourself. Pick your words dilligently and you will still make your point, but you will still retain the respect you seek.

O ok, Look people are going to say what they want to it may be offensive to an ethnic group but you know what it's kind of like a comedy routine. Just don't take it so seriously. People are always going to be jerks no matter how much you plea with them.

I don't recall anyone talking crap about people who get food stamps as a whole. They usually say things about the people that drive navigators with a wad of 100$'s in their pocket paying for their food with food stamps. You think these people deserve their foodstamps? I remember seeing someone blogging about how yes they get foodstamps but they only spend it at places like aldi and they only purchase healthy foods, no junk food, etc. And that is a damn lie, you know what, they are called foodstamps. The last time I checked potatoe chips are food and so is any other junk food. I guess my point is that if you are recieving don't lie to kick it, don't try to act like your some kind of saint because you don't buy junk food or KC strips, it doesn't matter what food you spend it on as long as your buying food. Sorry the last part of this paragraph wasn't aimed at you it's aimed at the person that said that, although they may not read this. :)

As far as the respect thing goes, me personally I could care less what anybody here in cyberspace or in reality says or thinks. I don't expect any respect. You can cuss me out, call me names, whatever you want I won't cry about it, I'll just retaliate :)

Confram as for being a liberal you can KISS THIS. The difference between you and someone like myself. Is I have respect for myself, which allows me to respect my fellow man.
If you were not so stuck on yourself, you would have understood what I was explaining and had the respect for it, instead of showing true ignorance. As for the retaliate comment I would not expect anything less from a wanna be hoodloom. (I don't have a CLUE where your homeless crap comes from, none of my comments had any reference to any homeless people. It has to do with holding yourself in high enough regard not to stoop to ground level with someone like yourself)
Actually if you read some of the blogs that you find yourself responding to, you would have notice people whining about this person or that person getting assistance when WHAAAAAAAA Call me a WAMBULANCE actually had to work 8 hours that day to buy what they have.

NOW THAT YOU ALMOST GOT ME DOWN TO YOUR LEVEL IN THE WORD OF YOURSELF !!!

There again you are assuming, just like when this all began with you. I made a post and was asked to specify and when I did you went straight to the defensive when the blog was not directed at you. I'm not asking people that does not agree with me not to post. I am asking an opinion of the people, in which was not directed at any one person as you tried to make it appear in your comments. You have added things to this blog that is not only irrelavent but totally ignorant. You have assumed at one point I was wanting to argue with you. There again you have assumed, which you know damn well what assume stands for. or are you truely (nevermind) you are not going to drag me to your petty level. (If you have something to post by all means do so, that is what this is for, But do not and yes I will say this do not come in here disrespecting people. (BECAUSE THAT IS NOT WHAT THIS BLOG IS FOR) Stick with the topic, express what your opinion is and leave it with respect

I AM the decendent of both native Americans and immigrants. I abhor what the colonists did to the Indians but I can't go back and undo it with the click of my mouse. That is all in the past and we have to get over it and move on! My immigrant forbears came here legally and I expect today's immigrants to do the same. I don't care how good a person they are or how hard they work. If we are ready to accept illegal immigration then we are on the brink of anarchy!

I'm almost afraid to post! I still don't know what your specifics are. As for my two-cent opinion, I am all for legal immigration. In a city where I used to live, I helped immigrants/refugees find housing, furniture and medical help. We shared 4th of July dinners, and I helped rebuild and build houses for them. BUT I CAN'T STAND ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS COMING TO OUR COUNTRY, GIVING BIRTH TO AMERICAN CITIZENS, RECEIVING HEALTH CARE, THEN CRYING ABOUT HAVING TO BE DEPORTED WHEN THEY ARE CAUGHT. The friends I helped waited months and months - sometimes in one-room apartments -to get their legal issues taken care of. And when they got here, they received government help, got a job doing what they could, learned English, and built a life. This is the way immigration should be. And I will always be on the side of these folks. But I will NOT side with those who shortcut issues for whatever reason they believe is justifiable. America has ENOUGH people who believe the ends justifies the means. Maybe we should trade some of them for legal immigrants. We can start at the top and work our way down!

jstol3 you are right and thank you for your honest open opinion. Actually everyman my blog was more on the lines of, there are people in here that has come to the US legally that have the same support for their own culture as we do ours. What I was expressing was not in regards to any specific topic as much as it was the feelings and disrespect some people show in words that had good intention, but was expressed harshly

You see when you express your thoughts to a group or to a certain topic. Sometimes like I (myself) have done in the past you accidently aim at the entire group with out specifing or colaborating the entire opinion. continues: everyman and jstol3 the person I was refering to in the original blog is a legal citizen. She just takes some things real literally, because sometimes when we talk about issues we don't follow completely through with the opinion we are tring to express and then she feels it is a direct attck onto her entire culture itself when it was not nessarily meant that way

I as the editor of this blog will not leave comments that I feel have been disrespectful and inconsiderate. I do not do that to other bloggers as most of you may know. I will delete you comments if you are being disrespectful

Thanks for your additional comments American1966. I understand, better, what you were saying. While I hold my ancestry in fairly high esteem, I do NOT put it above being an American citizen. What concerns me is a developing sense of RACE OVER CITIZENSHIP that I am seeing in America. My gut-level honest opinion is for those who represent that group to go back to their homeland, give up their American citizenship (with its benefits), and fully embrace their ancestry. I prefer to reflect on my ancestry, change the things I find reprehensible, and develop a better ancestry for those who follow me. And I believe a large part of that is this: citizenship over ancestry.

I do understand everyman and agree with you. I myself don't hold a race higher then others, But do get fustrated when one makes a bad choice in turns gets a response from others that reflects on my entire culture. Not all people are bad. Some of us try and work very hard to do the right and morral things for the same respect and honor.
I do not stand with those who fly their countries flag alone and try to claim this is their country. You are correct in that comment as to if they feel their countries flag should fly alone in this country and try to claim what is not their countries. THEY NEED TO GO BACK TO THEIR HOMELAND

If she is legal, she shouldn't have any problems with anyone discussing ILLEGAL immigration, even if it involves her own race/ethics.
And to those that want to expand illegal into a race or heritage issues... delete them.
