McCain has got the Republican Nomination with out question. Now it looks like there will be a race for the Democrat Nomination. And now to rub anybody the wrong way, but honestly. One of these 2 nominee's are the only one that will even have a remote chance of being in the Oval Office.

On with my prediction, (McCain vs Clinton) or (McCain vs Obama) I honestly think as the Democratic race winds down to the end, the powers that be will make it to where Clinton barely beats Obama for the Nomination. As good as Obama makes it sound, lets face it he does not have the resume to back it up, which makes him unpredictiable and a liability. So their only controlling option is to insure that Clinton gets the nominee.

(As for those that think Obama can part the red sea, if you own a multi million dollar company and your company's future depends on who you put at the helm. You are not about to hire me to run it when you have someone else that has applied that has a renoun history of making the right choices or the capabilities to fix the bad choices and it is a proven track record)

So you have (McCain vs Clinton) I predict that McCain would be victorious

(McCain vs Obama) McCain is victorious, because as Obama said the words coming out of his mouth are just words. (my definition: empty promises as in past elections)

(McCain vs Obama) Obama is victourious: before his term is up the USA is faced with one of the worst riots seen in years history and followed by a civil war between its own people

(These are just my opinions and prediction in which I hope none of them come true)

I see the potential for race riots at the democrat national convention. If the super delegates CHOOSE Hillary...IT WILL BE ON!

Please, please know that SUPER DELEGATES are there to keep a certain level of constancy in the nomination process. And their constancy will be to keep the status quo. I think super delegates will see to it that Clinton wins. Why, surely it will be in the general public's best interest to allow status quo politicians to maintain the 'best interest' of the party. Almost sounds like insider trading. That sounds kind of fun!

People think Hillary has all this experience. What experience? So she went to 60 coutries with her husband...does that mean she has foriegn policy experience? She was out sight seeing with chelsea!

Obama: His time will run out when the messages of "Time for Change" and "Believe" "Hope" etc grow old. Head to head with McCain he will lose because he will have to get specific on issues and plans for the country.

It's going to come down to the super delegates at the convention. It was designed so that they can vote the way they want, not the way the people in their city, county, district, or state voted. If Obama leads in delegates and popular vote and the super delegates vote Hillary in......Denver will be ground zero for the riots of the century!!

I can’t say that I disagree with any of the perspectives given here. But here’s another thought to add fuel to the fire:

If you’re the leader of a major terrorist organization and network and your followers are pressuring you (as some intelligence reports indicate) to strike once again at the US, what do you do? When would be the best time to strike, before or after the elections?

If you strike before the elections you have a chance of influencing the outcome of the elections, but is that to your advantage. Do you wait and see who gets elected and then attack? You know that the Democrats have promised to pull the troops out of Iraq, and that could be propagandized into a victory and aid in your terrorist recruiting. But if elected, will Obama or Clinton keep their promise after meeting with and getting advise from their generals? You can’t trust American politicians. You might think that an attack on the US immediately after the seating of a Democratic President (whether Clinton or Obama) would hasten the withdraw while testing their courage and leadership ability? But then, it could have just the opposite effect uniting Americans as 9/11 did. Of course, if McCain gets elected there is likely to be a continuation of he Bush policies and approach to terrorism.

Response Cont:

What is a terrorist leader to do?

It might be better to test the American political waters with a few small attacks before the elections and see how the politicians, news media and the American public reacts. In the meantime you can still plan a much larger and more significant attack once the American political scene is in a state of chaos during its transition from one administration to another.

You might want to be on the watch for a terrorist attack coming to a city near you. It’s not a question of if it will happen, but of when and of what magnitude. It is my opinion that it will occur ( or be attempted) within the next 12 to 18 months. I hope I’m wrong.

JigSaw you are right on Obama except, he will not have to get specific on the issues to make a good show. Look where he has gotten so far. The biggest problem is there are to many mindless people that get sold on words to easy, and do not ask the deeper questions to reveal whether a person can do what they claim.

Jordan I agree with you totally, but from what I have seen in Hillary and Obama, it would appear that the best means of attack would probably come after the elections. (reason for my prediction is, if you attach before the election and Bush actually resolves it with full support, you have just cinch the election will be in McCains favor at that point) You would want to have a president in there that you think would want to do more talking then action as you will get from Obama or Clinton

Response to American 1966,

“The biggest problem is there are to many mindless people that get sold on words to easy, and do not ask the deeper questions to reveal whether a person can do what they claim.”

You are right, but “we the people” don’t get to ask the questions. When the candidates appear in public forms they plant people in the audience to ask the soft questions and ignore the others. Everything is choreographed. Even when interviewed by a hard probing interviewer they sidestep the difficult questions. I can’t count the number of times when asked a difficult question that the candidates didn’t responded by saying : “Well, actually, the bigger question (or issue) is . . . ,” then they take off on another subject.

IMO, super delegates exist so that the party bosses can pick the candidate and not leave the decision to the "worker bees".

Jordan you are right and as that I myself have spoke with some of the representatives here in MO to try and get them to do open forums, so we the people may see how quick a canidate can repond to a question they don't have weeks to prepare for.
I was invited to be in a local forum where I am running for office and I went and explained to the chamber why I was turning them down. I talk to the people of my ward on a one to one basis and try to answer any questions they have. I do not wish to be the puppet of a preset forum that I already have been given them questions to prepare for

Jordan, the democrats voted for the war in Iraq, and made a bunch of noise about how they were all anit-war when it became obvious the war was a mistake. Then in the last election they campaigned on ending the war, and have done NOTHING since but attempt to pass a few non-binding resolutions which they backed down from.

Then they touted the "huge upset" in the congressional election as proof people were sending them a clean mandate. What was the re-election rate this time, 96%? wow, now theat sends a message. I'd be scared to death of I was an incumbent.

If I was a terrorist I wouldn't really care who was in power or going to be in power. I'd just be thankful that both parties have created a new playground for me in Iraq.

McCain vs Clinton and I believe McCain wins because he will pull the independents and unite the republicans vs Hillary.

However, that is not going to happen.

What is going to happen is that Obama is going to win this in a squeaker. Hillary will smile and say good race Barrack I am behind you all the way. And quietly behind the scenes she will do everything in her power to destroy him. Feed stories to the papers, try and tell voters to stay home, etc.

Basically she will try for the "I told you so" situation if Obama gets beat.

But win or lose Obama will be a failure. If he loses the election he will be a failure that couldnt capitalize on all the support (young, new and black voters are notorious for disappearing between primary and general). And if he wins he has set his bar so high he will never meet it. He will not change a damn thing in Washington and all these people looking for change will not get it and they will be pissed and not show up in 4 yrs to reelect him

However rockslide I don't believe he will get the first election to have to worry about a re-election. If he does, I do believe this country will see the worst four years in its entire history
