He didn't want the American flag shown at his speech in Germany and at his press conference in Paris. He canceled a trip to visit wounded soldiers when he was told the press couldn't take pictures of him. And the American public thought the press coverage of his trip was simply "excessive."

I have read Obama did visit the wounded without the press. I don't know if it was excessive or not? I do know he gathered a crowd of over two-hundred thousand in a foriegn country. I find that news worthy if I support him or not.

Hitler was able to do the same thing. Not comparing Obama to Hitler, but the number of people in a crowd dosen't make a president, especailly in countries that are as liberal minded as he is. Yes, he did go to see the troups here in the US without the press. But he thought that since he was out of the country the same rules would't apply. He was wrong. If he could see them here without the press, why not while on his out of the country tip? What's the difference? The difference was that this was as much a media tour as it was anything else.

I agree Jordan and he knew it was going to be a media circus. He was planning on it for the publicity. I just don't think his planners figured in all the possibilities of negativity before he left. If he should be lucky enough to capture the election is he going to change policy for air force one. Everytime a President lands regardless where you normally will see a US flag flying as well as the ones that are painted on air force one. Is he going to remove thise as well? As for news worthy I normally believe in the democrats, but I sure as hell don't think he should be demonstrating his devotion to his country and people by campaigning every where but his own country. Yes foreign affairs are important for an ambassador or a President and at this date and time he is neither.

You will normally see a US Flag flying when that plane lands as well as on the vehicle of tranport while in that area

I don't think it was excessive. What is the difference between his visits to these countries and McCain's visits to other countries. BTW - McCain is the one that kept insisting Obama visit these countries.

"He canceled a trip to visit wounded soldiers when he was told the press couldn't take pictures of him."

This statement is totally false. The Pentagon suggested he not visit the wounded soldiers. Try getting your facts straight.

Thats the report the media is circulating nothing to do with me. I think they both need to be replaced, neither one are going to anything for this country. The actual point being I really don't see a person from a foreign country voting to make him president and my other point is when a president drops in a foreign country there is always a flag displayed in one fashion or another and for Mr and Mrs Obama to claim they are patriotic after all the contriversy that surrounded them. It seams a little strang he would not choose to display a flag. But hay to each his own. Not real sure that I would want to vote for a person that voted against giving my fellow troops the supplies and equipment they needed. Dispute that one because that is in the Pentagon report. No disputing there
