A clinical psychologist at the University of Wales says January 21st is the most depressing day of the year.  Cliff Arnall has developed a mathematical equation that factors in gloomy weather, holiday spending debt, broken resolutions and feelings of desperation. I think it really IS a difficult time of year, and with the economic forecast looking dim, we could be in for a rough season, not just one day.  Sometimes, it's hard to be optimistic.  But as Scarlet O'Hara says, "Tomorrow is another day."

Anne when I listened to your story today I had to laugh at Russel and Howard's response. Both of them said, well, I was feeling pretty good until you told me I shouldn't. With the economy going through an adjustment to right it's self it is difficult. I'm a broker, the worst industry you can be in right now. I keep my head up, look for the good and keep on smiling. No one is going to p** in my corn flakes!

Scarlett had another line in that great movie of perserverance before she said the famous line, it was....."I'll think about that tomorrow!" We can not let the feeling of despair consume us, find a way to fight it and don't let it overwhelm us, just take on what you can handle this moment.

I can understand where the clinical psychologist at the University of Wales is coming from, I was born 7 miles away from the University of Wales in Cardiff, the weather in the winter is enough to send anyone into depression.

Any month could be the most depressing no matter the weather conditions. It is all a matter if we feel like we are getting the best deal out of life. But we don't have to be that way. We can take each day as a new start to be better than the day before. Help that someone we refused to help yesterday, be a better friend, and most of all show the love that God showed us when He gave His only Son for all of us idots that would hurt HIM(GOD) over and over again. Life can be really good. It just depends on whom we have everyday helping us through it.

As I write this bio, I realize just how fast time flies. I've been working at WTVT Channel 13 for almost 20 years. I started on the morning show with Ernie Lee, when it was called "Breakfast Beat." During these years I've worked the medical beat and weekend mornings. I come from the Midwest. I was born and raised in Decatur, Illinois, once the soybean capitol of the world! College took me to the big city of Chicago. I "played in Peoria" at a TV station there before settling in Tampa. It's been a great adventure, and I can't wait for the NEXT 20!!!!!
