Okay, so I'm a few weeks late.  I've spent the last couple of days getting some Spring cleaning done.  In the process, I  finally got rid of many of the items I no longer use.  The purging process is quite cleansing, providing a fresh start.  However, the huge pile it created made me realize just how wasteful I have become.  Why did I feel the need to buy those items I so rarely used.  I'm really going to try to curtail purchases, asking myself  "do i REALLY need this?"  It will save me money, and take less time in my next Spring cleaning.  So: it's out with the old, and in with the "NOTHING."

Anne I have been trying to do some cleaning now for months but I always find a reason to hang on to things I am pretty sure I don't really need just because I MIGHT need it one day. I hate to throw things away when I buy them so it just sits here. Well maybe one day I will have your will power and it will all go out. MAYBE!

I do so try to keep up with the purging process; however, my husband can be somewhat of a "packrat". Oh, not like on the obsessive side, but a "packrat" just the same. However, that has proven to be a good thing on many occasions. Like the time my favorite lamp quit working after 20 years. Yep, he just happen to have the EXACT part needed right there in that pile of "junk" in his work room. Makes me wonder if sometimes keeping a few of the old things may be a good thing.

Well GeishaKat I feel your pain!! My husband is also a packrat and he keeps things I just can't understand. There sre times when I just scratch my head and walk away cause I know none of what I just pointed out is going in the garbage. But ya love 'em anyway.

As I write this bio, I realize just how fast time flies. I've been working at WTVT Channel 13 for almost 20 years. I started on the morning show with Ernie Lee, when it was called "Breakfast Beat." During these years I've worked the medical beat and weekend mornings. I come from the Midwest. I was born and raised in Decatur, Illinois, once the soybean capitol of the world! College took me to the big city of Chicago. I "played in Peoria" at a TV station there before settling in Tampa. It's been a great adventure, and I can't wait for the NEXT 20!!!!!
