Theodore Roosevelt's ideas on Immigrants and being an AMERICAN in 1907.

"In the first place, we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin.
But this is predicated upon the person's becoming in every facet an American, and nothing but an American...There can be no divided allegiance here.

"Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag... We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language... and we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people."

Theodore Roosevelt --1907

Every American citizen needs to be taught this, and to know this, and to insist that it is restored as Official Policy!  Curses on those who would allow an enemy to be called a Citizen!  Honor the Memory of one of our truly great Presidents.

No Citizen should be forced to forget their roots, or the language of their birth.   At the same time, absolutely no Citizen should be disloyal to this Nation.

Great post. On this same note, I was baffled by the citizens of Chinese heritage who were demonstrating in CA and demanding an apology for the remarks CNN's Cafferty made about the junk that China produces and sells to us. If you are Chinese and you live in America and you are a citizen how could you have any loyalty whatsoever for your nationality, what ties to you have that bind you to that country, what do you care about any derrogatory remark anyone would say about the oppression and the junk that the Chinese produce? I just don't get it.

There is only room for an American mentality in this country.
Anyone else can go home. We don't need them here.

I've seen this before (but w/out the nice picture ;) ) and still agree his were wise words.

I was surprised to find out how many in this administration and our government hold dual-citizenship.

I agree. Teddy was one of the best leaders we had.

I can't see how anyone can stand behind China, their policies or the products. Anyway, if China is such a great place to live, why are they here?

MO, I guess when the country fails, by holding dual citizenship, these erstwhile politicians can distance themselves from the good ole US of A quicker than you or I can say "Jack Robinson".

Teddy was great. Too bad there's no one to follow his example!

But there is. He just won't get elected because he isn't on the "Approved Candidate" list.

Unless, of course, everyone votes for him.

Go Ron!

I know, I know.... Who wants a President who has promised to put the needs of WeThePeople first, second & third. We can't have that! It will be a continuation of the sold-out Status Quo just like it's supposed to be.

Sorry. Just that I believe he is bogus. My bad, huh?
When something or someone looks and sounds too good to be true, it usually is. And, as a Veteran of Service in Vietnam, I am just a little jaded.

Oh I don't know.... The GOP & MSM are trying their best to ignore him. That tells me much. All of it good. Plus, Ron has been man enough to admit he might be assimilated. Which other politician has actually admitted that?

I doubt that he'll win, but I am still voting for him. For my kids future. I don't see hope with any other candidate. Just more of the same ole NeoCon crap. Both parties. But, that's just my naive opinion.

Jaded is good Arky. Ron would immediately withdraw from Iraq, and has promised to do so.

A disaster, that will lead to worse disasters.

But I wonder if he would ever ask our troops what THEY would like to do.

The overwhelming majority will say they want to stay and complete thier mission.

Ron does not have a prayer of winning, but every vote cast for him will be one less for Obama/Hillary, so to those that will still vote for him, I say go ahead. Please.

Funny, Ron Paul gets the highest donations from our Troops. That is a fact. It says much too. They sure ain't funding John (100yr war) McCain.

Tho, Frank, I understand your sentiments. There are days I'd love to vote for Barack just to piss those ChickenHawks off. But instead, I will vote for my little kid's future instead of cowering in a corner waiting for the boogeyman to get us and voting for another sold-out politician.

No response? Hard to argue facts isn't it?

Our military would prefer the man who embraces our Constitution. The document our military swore to Uphold.

Another fact is that Barack gets the second highest donations from our military. Kinda leaves John McCain out in the cold. Along w/Hillary.

I am quite sure Cindy Sheehan has contributed to Ron Paul's campaign in the name of the military as well!
The military donates nothing.

People like you, and Cindy, donate in the name of the military, and then call it military donations.

You are fooling no one. But keep trying though. It is most entertaining!

Frank it looks like you're fooling yourself. For whatever reason.

A search engine is a great tool. It can put real facts at your fingertips. If, you're willing to look at them. Actual boots on the ground are contributing to Ron's campaign. Not so much John McCains.

"The Revolution: A Manifesto" by Dr. Paul is on the best-sellers list as we speak. No. 7 I think.

But, you continue to LYFAO. I wouldn't expect anything less from you.

Well, of course I am fooling myself if I expect to put any sense in your head, moon. You, like the planet yd that you revolve around will ignore comments just to continue your/his ragfest.

It is no surprise.

I will say it one more time, just to see if you ignore it, and still come back with your stupid bs insult.
I will explain it so that even a first grade child could understand.

ANYONE can make political donations in the NAME of the military! Even you! Does that mean the military feels the way you do?
No, it does not.

Boots on the ground are contributing to RP? LOL!

That is really funny. I wonder how they come up with the cash, as they can barely support thier families on military pay.

Read your propaganda, but really.

How stupid do you think people are?

Definitely not stupid enough to believe that crap, or RP would be the front runner!

Yes Frank, you are right and I am wrong.

Facts mean nothing if they go against what you think is correct. I get your picture. Don't bother to look. You won't like what you find.

I don't expect Ron Paul to be the front runner. He embraces the Constitution and that seems too much for some people these days. I guess they prefer the sold-out mess we have now and will continue to have with any of the three "Approved" candidates. You deserve who you vote for.

Ya know Frank, you and Hawkeye can talk smack about us in Orlando, but who is the first to insult? Not I. But whatever. Y'all spin however you need to to make yourselves feel like big men. While those sold-out career politicians laugh all the way to the office.
