Theodore Roosevelt's ideas on Immigrants and being an AMERICAN in 1907.

"In the first place, we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the person's becoming in every facet an American, and nothing but an American...There can be no divided allegiance here.

"Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag... We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language... and we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people."

Every American citizen needs to be taught this, and to know this, and to insist that it is restored as Official Policy!  Curses on those who would allow an enemy to be called a Citizen!  Honor the Memory of one of our truly great Presidents.

No Citizen should be forced to forget their roots, or the language of their birth.   At the same time, absolutely no Citizen should be disloyal to this Nation.

Great post Arky. It gave me an idea for a charitible organisation called : Inspirational Wallhangings For Democrats ! Collect donations for a picture and suitable frame and send them to every Democrat on the HILL for beginners. Maybe with Theodore looking over them, they can be shamed into becoming real Americans again ! I'm thinking Pelosi, Reid, Clinton, and the rest of the swine need our help now !

AYUP!  Those three would be a good start.  But honestly, I don't think you can shame a modern Democrat.  They don't even know how to blush!

Will there be a third party candidate?
Desperate times call for desperate measures.
Hispanic leaders keep claiming that this is racial discrimination.
Personally, I would classify Hispanics as white.
Italy, Spain, Greece are all on the Mediterian.
The Spanish are even a bit lighter than the other two.
So, south of the boarder, there is a little Indian (immigrants from Old Asia) thrown in.
It is about having the audacity to cross our boarder, illegally!
Illegally invading the USA!
Trucking other illegal invaders and illegal drugs across the boarder.
Demanding hand outs, taking jobs from Americans, demanding free education, demanding trial by jury for crimes!
These are rights paid for by Americans for Americans!
I don't care if we all turn the same color of sky-blue-pink.
The issue is ILLEGAL INVADERS!
We can not afford to carry this burden in desperate time.

Alan Keyes served as President Reagan's Assistant Secretary of State for International Organizations, was a member of the staff of the National Security Council, and represented U.S. interests in the U.N. General Assembly as ambassador to the United Nations Economic and Social Council.

He is chairman of the Declaration Foundation, the Declaration Alliance, and RenewAmerica. He holds a Ph.D. in government affairs from Harvard and wrote his dissertation on constitutional theory.

There is speculation (as he has removed himself from the Republican Party) that he will run on the Constitution Party Ticket.

That's what it would be UNLESS we could get a genuine groundswell behind him. I can't think of one single misgiving regarding Alan Keyes. But the Devil has too many people in his back pocket for a Genuine Constitutionalist like Keyes to actually win.
