While Obama spouts the word change in his campaign, I wonder what change. Since, I have repeatedly asked Obama supporters what change is going to bring with no answer, I decided to research this subject myself.

Since elected to the Senate in 2004, Obama has not voted on over half of all bills. On the ones he did he voted 97% of the time along party lines. He boasts he reaches across party lines to bring together Democrats and Republicans but it has only been on two bills and fails to mention that other Dems and Reps alike also came together on their own. Furthermore, he was only in the senate for @ 18 months before throwing his hat into the Presidential election of 2008. Does this strike anyone odd?

He also supports even more affirmative action as he believes our country must never forget the past legacy of discrimination. He further vows more money for the impoverished black community and even stated the reason there are so many black single parents is discrimination.

He is also the ONLY senate member in IL to support allowing a living baby to be left to die if it was intended abortion. Is this the CHANGE we can believe in?

For anyone who states he is Patriotic explain why he voted NO on recommending Constitutional ban on flag desecration. (Jun 2006)

He also supports a nation wide smoking ban after being tested at the local level. Only would allow a person to buy one gun a month and will do away with semi-autos, did Obama vote agianst the war or was he simply not present to vote.. in 2007 it was admitted he voted to late and therefore had no say in oppressing the war, voted no on funding Social Security, and much more....

So when he offers the masses change, will he be present? When he offers hope, will he be there?

My conclusion is he has found a way to prey on the weakness of the American People by offering Hope and Change. We desperately need change, but aside from his shady associates, his voting record goes to show its politics as usual. Empty promises and if he is elected I bet a pretty penny he will be the most hated President because there is no way in He!! he can give us change when there is not a plan and looking at his voting record he offers nothing more than just another politician....... ONLY with NO EXPERIENCE!

Feel free to correct me- I have asked so many times WHAT CHANGE and NOT ONE OBAMA sheep could answer. Don't tell me its faith, I want facts.

I too have asked for specifics and never received any. Obama has a lot of charisma and he has a lot of people fooled into thinking that he is talking about change that will be good for the country. Don't be fooled! If we thought that life under Jimmy Carter was bad you haven't seen anything! If Obama gets elected the country will be a shambles and totally divided before his term ends!

You are absolutely correct. There is nothing but preying on weak minds.

Here it is folks the real answer. For every dollar you have, Obama will take more taxes out and all you will be left with in your pocket is CHANGE. That is the CHANGE he is talking about.

Voters are largely idiots that are impressed by style over substance.

That is why Bush is a two term President.

So Spellcheckman; you admit Bush has Style?
Or was he better than the wackjobs the Dems put up for his two elections?
Go to Obama's website and he states exactly what he will do in his first 90 days. Scares the crap out of most non Socialist/Marxist folks.

Dang it jdembski, that's what I wanted to post:-(

Change: Your Income Tax rates - Higher
Change: Your Capital Gains Tax Rate - Higher
Change: Social Welfare Entitlements - More - Especially for minorities (now he'll get the Hispanic vote!)
Change Affirmative Action Laws - More of them.

I could go on but I think it is clear (maybe not to BeStrong) but this guy is clearly about change... lol

One thing he won't change is his discrimination against the white community, more and more that are facing poverty. Plus being single parents. They weren't mentioned to receive help, just, "impoverished black communities". Isn't that "racial discrimination", or does it just work one way?

From his site. Thanks john, I needed to read about this guy. I am very frightened to think this guy could be our next President.

Eliminate Sentencing Disparities
Obama believes the disparity between sentencing crack and powder-based cocaine is wrong and should be completely eliminated.
SORRY OBAMA, ALREADY DONE.
A High Standard
Unlike other candidates Obama’s campaign refuses to accept contributions from Washington lobbyists and
political action committees.. REALLY I DON'T BELIEVE IT.
I won’t raise the
minimum wage every ten years – I will raise it
to keep pace so that workers don’t’ fall behind. LOL Really...
Obama will ensure that the IRS
uses the information it already gets from banks and employers to give taxpayers the option of pre-filled tax
forms to verify, sign and return. Experts estimate that the Obama proposal will save Americans up to 200
million total hours of work and aggravation and up to $2 billion in tax preparer fees.
Encourage States to Adopt Paid Leave: As president, Obama will initiate a strategy to encourage all 50
states to adopt paid-leave systems. Obama will provide a $1.5 billion fund to assist states with start-up costs
and to help states offset the costs for employees and employers. Where will the 1.5 billion come from????

Ok I know enough already..
Please just say NO to Obama..

Do not forget his ties to Odinga, now that shows just how much he care for even blacks and the start of his political career, he shafted the woman who gave him his start and left the 2 chairs for the blacks empty when he gave his up to run for another political post he lost. He is all about Obama and to heck with any one who get's in his way.

THe one thing that Barack Hussein Obama is not............he is not a patriot.

He is proud to be a son of Africa, according to his own words in his own book and his heroes are the black heroes of Africa.

Where in his book does he say he is proud to be an American?

Miss Nancy and all you other racists. This is my final straw. I'm black and not a supporter of Obama, but wow you rednecks certainly have pushed my button.

The man was born here. He is American! Christian! Are all of you Catholics? Probably not. I bet if there was some hatred going on against the Catholics you would stand up for them even if you don't believe in what they stand for. That is merely what he is doing. I've done the research on all three "mainstream" candidates now and not one of them are worth a crap. But you are all ganging up on him simply because he is black. You can deny it till the sun goes down, but the world will continue to remain the way it is if you people exist in it. Teach your children your bad beliefs, then turn around that worship God and call yourselves righteous.

This is really depressing to find you guys are openly discriminating against his color.

Obama has his OWN agenda. Agreed. McCain has his OWN agenda. No one wants to admit that. Clinton is guilty by association. No one wants to admit that either. But Obama steers the conversation towards African-Americans and you people flip the heck out. "Oh he don't say he's proud of America, he must be racist" The man is mixed. How in hell can he be racist against white people and not be racist against his own heritage.

You all need to go jump off the Paseo, because there is no room for your racist propaganda in our fair city.

Jump!

I apologize for saying the word "rednecks" that was not appropriate. I am just so frustrated with some of the comments on this blog that I reacted instead of responding.

Again, I'm sorry.

Leavenworth- I never once stated anything about his color. I DONT CARE! What I do care about is his records he seems to favor minorities. While Affirmative Action would help me, it is something I believe is flat out not needed anymore.

You need to research the decline of the Catholic Church. Heck John McCains pastor was pegged as racist or bigot or some term for openly slamming the Catholic Church.

Furthermore, I do not see where anyone states anything about his color, but more along the lines of his patrotism and faith to this country. On one more note- everyone needs to take the time out and read the books before believing what you read on the internet. These lines were never said and completely blown out of proportion. And everyone wonders why the media don't pick it up...

I wrote this in an attempt to understand this man. After asking numerous Obama supporters I got absolutely no answer. Like I said correct me if I am wrong.... but isn't affirmative action placing white males at the bottom. How the he!! is that fair?

One more thing- my daughter has no idea what racism is! I teach her to love everyone as they are and guess what when she plays with others of different color niether child notices skin color!!! In fact her best friend is mixed, another mexican, another white... Can you say the same?

LeavenworthMP read my blog view my photos
May 28, 2008 | 11:41 AM

Actually yes BeStrong I can say the same for both of my children. They are both interracial. Furthermore, I would never question a man's patriotism if I didn't know the facts. You took quotes out of his book and used them out of context. I've read the book, and I guess I must have taken it a different way than the majority on this blog. That what makes me so ticked off is I don't understand how you all make these comments about him not being patriotic. If he was so un-Patriotic, then how the hell did he get elected to the Illinois Senate, then the US Congress. You don't get elected telling America to "f" off.

BTW...Miss Nancy is the one who referred to him being black. "He is proud to be a son of Africa, according to his own words in his own book and his heroes are the black heroes of Africa." This is what I'm saying is uncalled for. Just because he is proud to be of African descent does not make him unpatriotic. I have argued with this woman about her racial comments for quite some time now. She's a trip.

Affirmative action was a bad idea from the beginning. Its another excuse for the black man to be handed things without earning.

I took quotes from his book? Reread what I wrote, my information came from his voting record and speeches. I stated the quotes from his two books are misconstrued, not factual. People read crap on the internet and with no further ado believe it. Well, read the books and you will see its a bunch of lies. I do question his patriotism.. btw- do you know how he was elected to the senate???? default.

Really, before you point fingers at me READ what I write first then respond.

1) Hagee is NOT McCain's pastor...end of story

2) I dont believe anyone is saying anything about Barack because of his race. I and many people question his experience, his judgement and the things he is promising me as an American voter..that's it.

Sadly I think LeavenworthMP has fallen upon what will become the normal in the run up to the general election. And that is anytime anyone questions Barack for anything they will be branded racists who are making issues because he is black.

From a political point of view that has it's upsides with blacks and some liberals. But Barack has shown a trouble in the primary season with carrying white, working people over the age of 30. If his people and the media brand everyone a racist for questioning him then this will cause him even greater trouble with that demographic.

If Barack wants to be President he will have to answer questions and realize that not all white people are racists

Look Rockslide...I never said Hagee was McCain's pastor. He simply stated something to the effect of "Hagee believes in what I believe on the same foundation of principles" look it up. I will be first in line to say that Barack Obama should not be the next President. But I won't sit by and let anyone slander anyone White, Black, Asian, or Haitian when it ain't called for.

BeStrong...When I said you took quotes out of his book, I may have been referring to some other post of someone else's.

LeavenworthMP erred.

Why can't we all just get along!! Everybody seems to be so angry on this blog. Freedom expression is the right of everyone. We may not all on agree on the same issues, but we can all discuss it in a civilized manner.

Great idea. I did once write a post about civility but got may butt handed to me.

Leavanworth- how is it slander? more like libel. If you read other posts Hillary gets slammed as does McCain. I think Obama may get alot more bc noone understands what he stands for. Its a campaign slogan of hope and change with no real plan. But I can only speak for myself.
