Upon getting on the internet this morning, I noticed my comcast email password had been changed. So I tried my hotmail account which stated I had tried to sign in to many times with an incorrect password. I called my husband to see if he had tried which I store my password where I just have to log on.... so if he had wanted to get into my email he'd just had to hit sign in. Well at this point, I seen on Fox 4 comcast had been hacked. Now here is the "funny part" I call comcast and they themselves had no idea the system had been hacked. The lady told me all she knew is her system was down and unable to help out. I wonder how is it that a subscriber would know about the hack prior to it's workers? Is comcast trying to cover this up? I will also note for the past several weeks, my service has been in and out. The service men who came to check out the problem stated they had no idea what was going on and comcast was launching an investigation because it had to due with unexplained highs and lows of power coming into the homes. Now I am not a computer whiz or know exactly how it all works but it sounds "fishy" to me.

Wow girl, sounds like a nightmare..I can't offer much help...but I do know that nothing beats a strong password and always change it every month at least...never reuse the same one on any other accts.
Combinations of letters and numbers are good, case sensitive is also recommended.
Best of luck...and sorry=)

Thanks. All of my accounts do have different passwords that are completely off the wall. I am more concerned that Comcast personell had no idea, while I did. When peoples personal info is at stake, I would think they would be on the ball.

I bet their IT people were going "Me? I thought YOU were doing the hacker proof check." "No! Not ME, I thought YOU were doing it!"

Comcast isn't trying to cover anything up.

In the book of excuses, playing stupid and not knowing what is going on is the first one. Each spouse is given a copy at the wedding. Somehow they have found their way into the corporate world---about 75 years ago.

kayb- we unhooked the digital box and plugged the TV directly to the cable line. It has helped wonders.

Anyone who knows history, particularly the history of Europe, will, I think, recognize that the domination of education or of government by any one particular religious faith is never a happy arrangement for the people.
