The man who led the protest at soldiers funerals, the same soldiers protescting his freedom, home burned down. He stated our brave men and women were killed because they were gay and other such things..... I would LOVE to hear his reasoning behind why God would allow his home to burn. What did he do to deserve this???

All I have to say, Karma is a BLEEP!

I recently discovered a "bite" of some sort on my daughters leg is indeed MRSA. The Pediatrician stated about 77% of what people think are simple insenct bites are MRSA. What really irriates me about JUST NOW discovering she has this infection, is the fact we had taken her numerous times to Childrens Mercy for red swollen joints and a low grade fever with a rash all over her body along with this "bite"..... from what I am understanding is a tale tale sign of MRSA spreading to her organs. This has been going on since December 24, 2007 and I am just NOW being told she has MRSA!!!!!!!

In my opinion, the doctors at CH really dropped the ball on this one. My Peds doc had tried numerous times to have her admitted, but didn't have privilages at CH, and every time I took her to CH they told me to take her to my regular doctor. EVEN after a test indicated her kidneys weren't functioning properly. This test was done at my docs office. So agian we were told to go to the ER at CH. Once agian a test was ran on her kidneys, HOWEVER, they (CH) left the speciman in our room for three hours prior to sending it to the lab. For a correct kidney function test the urine is supossed to be tested within 15 minutes.

So with the condition at times appearing better, they chalked it up to perhaps arthritis or maybe allergies.... eventually it was phycosamatic.... basically they had no flippin clue. Luckily, I just so happened to change Peds and guess what..... they tested for MRSA. Exactly what it is!!!!

So now because CH just didn't have the time to deal with my daughter properly in the ER, she is dealing with a very serious case of MRSA. Funny thing.... I kept telling them, "I am her mother I KNOW something is not right!" They basically said I was over protective and just needed to calm down. What good that did!!!

The point of me writing is if you have a sore that isn't going away.... get it checked!!! Demand a MRSA test certainly if you develop a slight fever, swollen red joints, and a rash over parts of your body.

I know a lot of people dislike what illegal immigrants are doing to our country and economy. I should disclaim that I do also. However, I would like to share an experience I had recently with my daughter at Chucky Cheese's.

Our family was celebrating my daughters birthday at Chucky Cheese's a few weeks ago. The place was overwhelmed with non-english speaking adults and children. I assume they were illegal's and I do know they were from Mexico as my husband is fluent and I understand the language enough to get by. At first I was really annoyed and even spoke of leaving but to me something amazing happened. As my daughter twirled and danced her way around, I noticed a little girl following her. She too soon took note and gleefully introduced herself with a huge smile. The little girls face lit up and she to introduced herself in Spanish. For a moment they just stared at each other then took off like they had known each other their whole lives. Laughter is an universal language, the language most preveantly used by children. They were completely inseparable. Language did not stop them from having a joyous time together, the color of their skin, nor the prospect that one may have been brought here illegally by no fault of her own. On occasion the pair would rambouxiously run to me and ask for an interpretation. However, more often than not, the two just understood each other.

As I watched the magical duo, I found myself questioning how people would want to deny this beautiful child medical care and an education based on her parents actions. The really messed up part as I was contemplating, my thoughts drifted. I became worried if I voiced my opinion I would be labeled a "bleeding heart liberal."  I started to rationalize the whole situation. I told myself fact is she's a criminal and so are her parents. It's the American peoples tax dollars. The rationality was nothing short of the truth, but I caught a glimpse of the two holding hands, laughing together in unison as they spun around in circles eventually both falling all the more reason to laugh more bosterously. It in that moment with a half grin on my lips and an overwhelming feeling of happiness, that I decided no matter what anyone else thought of me I could never advocate shunning any child.

The day winded down and it was time for us to leave. The girls bid their farwells with hugs, kisses, and my daughter yelling adios and the other shouting back bye. Eventually my husband swooped up my daughter on out the door we headed when I felt a gentle tap on my shoulder. I turned around and much to my suprise it was the little girls parents. Her father stood behind her mother. She reached out a hand and in broken English said thank you. I replied accordingly in Spanish. At this time, my husband jumps in and begins conversing. The parents wanted to thank us for our kindness to our daughter. The conversation finally ended and as we drove home my husband and I talked about our day. I explained how I was confused and he felt the same.

The whole point of me sharing my experience is children are amazingly uncorupted by life. They do not see language, color, religon, rich, poor, education, political affiliation, gender as a reason to dislike a fellow human being. They only care about kindness and even when a child is treated poorly they forgiven very quicky. They love unconditionally, forget and forgive, and accept people as they are. For the forgotten memories my chid gave me, I will forever be grateful.

I know some will say children just hasn't had life kick the BLEEP out of them yet. That they do not have a true understanding of the world. They hop through fields of daisies with rose colored glasses on, but no matter what curve balls life throws our was, adults should never loose the capicity to forgive, love, and every once in a great while skip through that field of daisies with rose colored glasses on.

Upon getting on the internet this morning, I noticed my comcast email password had been changed. So I tried my hotmail account which stated I had tried to sign in to many times with an incorrect password. I called my husband to see if he had tried which I store my password where I just have to log on.... so if he had wanted to get into my email he'd just had to hit sign in. Well at this point, I seen on Fox 4 comcast had been hacked. Now here is the "funny part" I call comcast and they themselves had no idea the system had been hacked. The lady told me all she knew is her system was down and unable to help out. I wonder how is it that a subscriber would know about the hack prior to it's workers? Is comcast trying to cover this up? I will also note for the past several weeks, my service has been in and out. The service men who came to check out the problem stated they had no idea what was going on and comcast was launching an investigation because it had to due with unexplained highs and lows of power coming into the homes. Now I am not a computer whiz or know exactly how it all works but it sounds "fishy" to me.

Moral people do not ignore those who hunger or live in poverty, or cannot afford proper health care. Moral people respect the freedoms of others. They play by the rules because they cherish the delicate balance of civility. They want people to know the truth because that is implicit to the workings of democracy. They do not impose their religious beliefs on others, but safeguard everyone's faith instead. They love this country because they love the people of this country. Morality is defiled when it becomes an empty catch-phrase used to win a debate or impose a new law. It cannot exist on its own. It has to live within us, in our words and deeds, or not at all. It demands a commitment to truth and compassion and working to make things right. All around the world people are fighting and dying for what they perceive as a better way of life. Our soldiers are among them. We, on the other hand, remain too busy at work, too busy having fun, too engaged by distraction, to uphold the rights and freedom our ancestors died to give us.

Anyone who knows history, particularly the history of Europe, will, I think, recognize that the domination of education or of government by any one particular religious faith is never a happy arrangement for the people. Eleanor Roosevelt Anyone who thinks must think of the next war as they would of suicide. Eleanor Roosevelt In the long run, we shape our lives, and we shape ourselves. The process never ends until we die. And the choices we make are ultimately our own responsibility. Eleanor Roosevelt
