Kiss my assets!

by BrendaG from The Mothership

Last Post 2 days Ago

I was out in Southeast Palm Bay this evening, there was fire everywhere, it was an unsettling feeling, I started thinking I was in hell because everything was glowing orange. I captured a few images out there. May they catch the dirtbag(s) that started this! Between fifty and seventy five homes either burned or have been damaged in Palm Bay and another four have burned in nearby Malabar.

I am angry!

Thanks for viewing and thanks for the blog!

Your thoughts please!

Brenda

Arsons are scum. We have one here in north Brevard who is known to everyone in the area, but his family is "important" (spits) and no one will do anything about him. Good ol' Florida. If Brevard starts burning near the Volusia county line, you'll know he's still at it.

This round of fires reminds me of (as I call it) the Summer of Hell in '98 when most of Brevard was on fire and Fourth of July fireworks were cancelled. The place we were going to move into at that time burned to the ground and we were forced to camp out at Wickham Park for a couple of months, then Wickham started burning and we went to the Island. The place we're in now is a replacement for another that burned down then too.

Having lost one home in '93 to fire, I can tell you the devastating feeling is beyond words. We are in the process of installing an outside sprinkler system that covers the house and most of the out buildings. I'll sure sleep better when installation is complete.

Crone, I understand the reason why you are doing this after the last few days. These "fires" were the start of a Mother's Day and ending with my birthday...Happy Birthday, GG... See my blog on the subject...

Brenda, those pics are scary. Thanks for sharing them with us. I, too, hope they catch whatever filth is responsible for this.
Happy Birthday, Georgies-Girl!!

This guy needs to be strung up and have the crap beat out of him with burning limbs.
I can't imagine anything more frightening then a fire raging out of control.

What would be in the mind of an arsonist to make them want to cause this much pain and suffering to families? Cannot fathom the mentality of it.

BTW Brenda, those are some nice shots.

That's horrible, Brenda! It definitely reminds me of all the fires back in '98! It makes me sick to think some a-hole started them deliberately! Those photos are outstanding, though! You should be getting an award, of some sort. Have you thought about submitting them to Newsweek, Time, or any of the other big "Mags"? Your pictures are way better than theirs! Keep your windows up, and your A/C on, Babe!

Gammies - Those shots were taken near my other daughters house - probably right next door. We too, had fire about 3 houses down. House was saved, Thank God for Firemen! Daughter #3 actually helped save neighbors house. Went and got firemen just before house burst into flames. House already had wires burnt off and soffit was on fire when they got there. I think all OWNERS of vacant property should be made to CLEAR the brush! That way, there would be NO tinder for fire to catch on. Where these pix were taken, daughter #3 had gone to PB and requested that the owner CLEAR this lot! He came in and sprayed weed killer! More dead dry tinder for fire to eat! J@ck@$$!!! Oh, excuse me, I am giving him a name of an intelligent animal... and still the fires rage on!

Air drop them into the fires they started.

Sounds like a good idea to me! I said burn down his house with him in it, having available firemen watch it burn, just to make sure no other house catches, and he doesn't escape! His own personal HELL!

I will have more images for you all again tonight! I will be doing another blog at that time. I have seen the full scale of this dirt bag's work, and let me tell you, until you drive San Filippo all the way around to DeGroodt/Bayside High School/Jupiter, you haven't seen anything! Austin and I were clicking random images this afternoon, we will be going back out to my sister's house again tonight, and I will not forget to take the tripod.

Great pictures, Brenda! However, its a shame that you had to take them to begin with.

I can't say I'm surprised it was arson. Just about every major fire like this always turns out to be started by some stupid kid, an even stupider ciggerate smoker or an arsonist.

I like ADeltonian's idea. Drop the scumbag from high above, so he'll have plenty of time to see it coming and think about what's going to happen to him when he lands.

Hmmm, maybe it was Northton. Just look at his avatar... kinda makes you wonder where he was last, doesn't it? ;)

I just noticed something.... out of curiosity, who is that guy standing to the left of the fire in the third picture?

JD that "guy" is my youngest son, helping his aunt protect her home last night. We will be going out there again shortly tonight,

The photos are awesome. They capture the magnitude of the destruction and desperation. I will never understand how someone could be so cruel to do something like this.

Unbelievable. I was going to e you about this Brenda, and ask if you were affected by this.
I had no idea you were in the middle of it! Wow!
Great shots, and I hope they catch the SOB that started this!

I lived at PBR and US 1 during the last wildfires there, and had no air conditioning. Had to keep the windows open for ventilation, because it was so hot. I spent a few weeks breathing smoke in my own home. Awful. This is much closer, and when I heard on the radio that US 1 was closed from Malabar Road to Valkaria, I knew it was really serious.

I had a PO box at the PO on Malabar Road for 11 years. I know the area well. I can just imagine what you are going through there.

Be careful. Don't get yourself into a situation. Houses can be rebuilt, lives lost are irreplaceable.

Good luck and keep safe , just don't do like that young couple did Monday and leave your house only to come back and find the fire has shifted and your house burned while you where out....scary stuff.

Boy Brenda...you really have an eye for the camera! I must say I've been worried today with all the air activity going on all around us today! They have really been busy with those helicopters collecting water from the river! Even this time of night!
