I liked Hillary Clinton last night on the Democratic debate. I'm as surprised as you. I am impressed by her command of the issues. She is the one candidate to me who seems to be able to dissect the complexity of all sides of an issue and government policy then weigh the pros and cons before making an informed decision. I like that. She's very smart and organized in her thinking.

Barack Obama didn't seem to be on his game last night. And John Edwards did a better than expected job. I was struck by how much he wears his heart on his sleeve.

      The others get honorable mentions.

The Republican debate is next. I guess I'll put my two cents in about them too.

I'll feeling very non partisan these days. I'm so desperate for a President with the right stuff that I'm less concerned with party affiliation. Just give me the best guy or gal  to be President of the United States and get us out of  this mess.

I think Jeb Bush would be the best choice, however, there will never be a person with the right stuff because the system won't allow it. The Clintons had eight years to make a real difference with Middle Eastern issues but were to busy with personal problems. The answer will never come from a human source but a divine one, that is, a nation back under God. I believe that for most of our history, God has smiled upon us as a nation, but we've wondered away from Him and now we deal with fears we didn't have before. Before we can get a right stuff President, we need a right stuff people.

Debates are easy when you know the questions ahead of time. It's all crap.

When it comes to electing the next president, you have to look deep before you leap. It's one thing to know the issues and to be able to discuss them but in order to be successful, one must put an action behind the words.
Words are things that dissipate in the air as soon as they are spoken but if there is no action behind the words, all the speaker has done is blown a lot of hot air.
As Theodore Roosevelt said: speak softly and carry a big stick. I'd rather see someone in office who is not going to say a lot but who is going to put their thoughts, ideas and beliefs into action.
As for anything Hillary Clinton might say: the answer, my friend is blowing in the wind, the answer is blowing in the wind.

Again, we find ourselve's with the task of decideing how much of what is said is strictly for garnering votes. It is in the candidates character that we will find our best choice. That may be found in the history of the candidate's voting record (or professional life) and close personal affiliations. Not many will pass our expectatins for the presidency. Some may utterly shock us for their devious behavior and sinister associations. Take the time to seek the truth. Then, rest easy with your personal decision.

Very right, Nean. Many just look at the surface and don't look deep enough to make a good decision. That's why it's so important to be careful in choice and to make a decision that you believe in the most.
