I don't use his race to base my lack of support for him. It's his lack position on issues. I just keep hearing him say he's going to change things. Change to what? I would love for our Secretary of State to run. I think Ms Rice could bring this whole country together. She's black, a woman and smart conservative! Ok, that last part might be a sticking point for the folks on the left.

How many people of color will vote for Obama because of his color? How many will vote against him for the same reason? Perhaps this foolishness will vanish with our great grandchildren.

I really wonder after this blog of yours has been read and analyzed by your employer, that you should even have a job.
You have violated the RTNDA/RTNF Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct. You failed to present analytical reporting on professional perspective, not personal bias. You failed to recognize that professional journalists are duty bound to conduct themselves ethically.(RTNF)

Why didn't you consult with your Poynter Institue husband, Keith Woods, before you did your blog. Your hot-head writing of this really should come back and bite you good.

Is it just my imagination or do the news stations shut down to a skeleton crew on the week-end?!!!

My God! I'm a news junkie and I'm becoming very depressed when I turn on Fox News, CNN, ABC, CBS, NBC and ANY of the other agencies of mass communication. On Saturday and Sunday, the news produces almost as much excitement as does my watching of some white paint while it's drying on the wall! (Almost as exciting.)

With all of the tons of money that they (the news stations) gather up each day, one would think that they might hire a team of professional journalists to throughly report on what's happening in the world from Friday afternoon (starting at about 1 P.M. Eastern Time) until about 9 A.M. on Monday. Week-ends are, indeed, very miserable for news junkies!

I really don't think Geraldine Ferraro truly meant it as a racist comment, I think what she tried to say is America's more ready for a black male President than for a white or
black female President. You know, that sexist attitude - let the males lead.
Personally, I don't think he is anywhere close to being qualified to lead this great country, Harvard Grad or not. He should have stayed in the Senate and gotten some actual experience. And that has nothing to do with race. I would gladly have voted for Colin Powell in the past and really was hoping our Secretary of State, Ms. Rice was going to run during this past primary. She could have broken both barriers at the same time!
I also think Ms. Ferraro was referring to everyone talking about how easy the press has been on Obama. They don't grill him in the same manner they have Hilary. Maybe they don't want to be called racist?
