TIM AND I...TIM AND ME...WHERE IS STEVE (THE GRAMMAR POLICE) WHEN I ACTUALLY NEED HIM? LET SEE... IT'S ROGER AND ME...ME AND MRS JONES... I DON'T KNOW...AND IT DOESN'T MATTER BECAUSE THERE WAS NO TIM ANd I... I NEVER MET TIM RUSSERT, AND I NEVER WILL.

IT MADE JILL LAUGH YEARS AGO WHEN I SAID TIM WAS ON MY LIST OF 3 (SOME PEOPLE HAVE 5...I ONLY HAVE 3) HE'S ONE OF THE MEN I WOULD LEAVE MY HUSBAND FOR (MY HUSBAND WISHES I WOULD HAVE 5 ...MORE OF A CHANCE HE COULD BE FREE). I'M NOT SURE THAT JILLIAN WAS SURE WHO TIM WAS...BUT THEN WHEN SHE KNEW I THINK SHE WAS GROSSED OUT. I LOVED TIM...MAYBE IT'S WEIRD...BUT I DID. HE KNEW MORE ABOUT POLITICS THAN ANYONE...AND WENT TO CHURCH EVERY SATURDAY...SINCE HE WORKED ON SUNDAY.

I ADORED HIM SO MUCH (I KNOW...I'M CRAZY). I REMEMBER WHEN I ALMOST MET HIM. I REMEMBER WHEN STEVE MET HIM.. I HAD TO REMIND STEVE THAT HE MET TIM. STEVE WAS COVERING THE CONVENTION IN 2000...I WAS SO JEALOUS.. STEVE WAS AT STAPLES CENTER. TIM WAS THERE. ON THE AIR... I WAS BEGGING STEVE TO BRING TIM TO THE CAMERA SO I COULD AT LEAST "TV MEET" HIM.

PEOPLE MAGAZINE SAYS TIM'S WIFE (MAUREEN ORTH...A WONDERFUL WRITER FOR VANITY FAIR) HAD A FEELING TIM WOULD DIE. WHEN HE WAS LEAVING ROME SHE HUGGED HIM AND SAID I MIGHT NEVER SEE YOU AGAIN. HOW WRONG TO BE RIGHT.
I'M WRITING THIS ON THURSDAY... AND I JUST ASKED OUR PRODUCER LISA B IF I COULD DO ONE MORE DAY OF RUSSERT COVERAGE (WE HAVE TO ASK CHRIS WALLACE ABOUT HIM). SHE SAID "TIM RUSSERT DIED?" I'M PRETTY SURE SHE WAS KIDDING. SHE THEN SAID ONE DAY MORE OF TIM AND... THAT'S IT (SHE SAID SHE IS EVEN STARTING TO MISS NASH STORIES...AND I KNOW THAT'S A LIE) . LISA B HAD A GOOD SUGGESTION ...SHE SAID GIVE "MEET THE PRESS" TO (MY OTHER BOYFRIEND) TED KOPPEL. I LIKE THE IDEA...BUT I THINK TOM BROKAW SHOULD DO IT TILL THE ELECTION...ANYONE ELSE WOULD SEEM WRONG.

SO...NO TIM AND I..BUT STILL I WILL MISS HIM...

those sunday shows bore me. dorothy my love, as sad as russert's dying is, at least it was not closer to any of us in LA. do you feel there is more crying about Tim than there was when peter jennings died? Tim's son is likeable. i did not have interest in watching meet the press, any more than face the nation, this week, or fox sunday.

Tim shocked the public with his death. I live in a small town, and my previous tenant was killed in a car accident last week. Then there was a Memorial for him and a sixteen years old girl died from drinking and vomiting at the after party. Anyway, that sad feeling lingers through our lives have altering moments that affect us and seem to be unexplained.

Dorthy,

I am sorry you lost one of your 3. I never watched Meet the Press, so I was not fimilar with him. I feel like I have a sense of who he was thanks to your moving coverage of him. I feel for his family, and the comment his wife made...wierd how things happen. I think about that every day when my husband leaves for work. Fortunately I still have him. I don't think your doing too much coverage, we don't focus on people we loose enough. Better then sex in the city coverage, or Britney and Jammie Lynn coverage. Your all doing a wonderfull job, maybe you can see if Fox could axe the Simpsons commercial untill at least 9:00, it drilling holes in viewers heads. just a thought!

Have a great weekend! Do you read these????

Hi Dorothy,

Thank you for your wonderful persistence to keep airing the continuing story on Tim Russert. You're producers are giving into market pressures by telling you to "...move on", but you're the person who is right here. Tim Russert was a great example of what a human being can become in life. With politicans and goverment officials lying and putting their public spin on various issues that concern the way we are governed, the common man, woman and children have virtually lost any say in what their represented officials can do to serve them. They say one thing to get elected, and do something else after they get in office. The only weapon we have to combat this misuse of power were people like Tim Russert. Tim was a man who came from the people, learned to play the game of politics with dignity, and became a people's advocate for truth and fairness as it concerned government and elected officials representing the people who elected them. He used his intelligence, education and experience and became our public "watchdog" to expose the inconsistencies of lying, mistrust and backpeddling of Washington insiders. We the people can never win against "the game" in Washington, but somehow the playing field was leveled when people like Tim Russert were on the scene exposing corruption and misuse of the public trust.

I'm personally saddened by Tim's tragic passing for the reason he was a great guy who stood for truth and love; he worked hard in his life and rose to the pinnacle of success as NBC's Washington Bureau Chief. He was selected as the moderator of "Me

May Tim Russert rest in peace for now. Don't worry Dorothy - you'll meet him in heaven, and have some good laughs together.

Now I just hope that NBC doesn't put Keith Olbermann in his spot...I know someone at KCBS 2 who worked with K.O., and I'll stop here and not say much more about it.

dorothy, dorothy, dorothy, While I commend you for putting your human element ionto this particular story, it is so difficult to watch the show when all of you just talk over each other, and never seem to get to the news at hand, makes me turn the channel...
When I close my eyes, you sound like a young Marge Simpson, and I must vote for you as the worst dressed commentator on television!

At leasst you had that gap between your two front teeth fixes 8 years or so ago...

I don't get why people have to be insulting. Have some tact. But I do agree, that the last couple of days all 3 of you have been talking all at the same time. Still love you all!!

I don't know that I would call this lust, as an honest statement that had she not married the man she loves, Tim was at the top of her list. As for leaving her husband if she is making this statement, I hope she will take a good honest look at herself, her marriage and hopefully if there is an issue, work it out. Dorothy is a very beautiful and bright lady, and whatever her issues personally are, which are not my business, she needs to find herself in life and hopefully resolve them, and I hope she does. As for Mr. Russert, I hope that he has found peace and family and friends long gone that he is once again with and happily. He was just a great and honest guy, not too many like him either.

theres something so disingenuous about dot i'm surprised u dont see it seebar... u seem fairly bright...in addition to her behavior running totally contrary to her supposed beliefs, i find her physically repulsive, her name dropping, her outright antipathy towards jill that leaks out of her eyes, its just too much, i long for the day she is replaced, in the mean time i immensely enjoy her semi private pain she so miserably fails to hide

I would like Dorothy to leave her husband and come find me in Palmdale.

I'd do the same for Dorothy that Grant does for Jill.

Uh thank you rev, I consider myself reasonably intelligent. As for misses Lucey, I swing fairly both ways on her as an issue just like I do on other issues I post. I find she is both smart, pretty, witty and has many years of entertainment experience. The issues I have posted I feel honestly about and call them as I see them when it affects viewers. As for her private life that is her business. But when she does things on public airwaves then I have a fair say on them as do you and others.
