STEVE HASN'T BLOGGED FOR AWHILE...BUT I SAY "OH MY GOD" BECAUSE HE SAYS THAT'S HOW EVERY WOMAN STARTS EVERY SENTENCE.  HE GOT IN TROUBLE THIS WEEK FOR SAYING  SOMETHING ABOUT "A TYPICAL WOMAN".  JILL GOT TICKED (TYPICAL).  BUT AS STEVE SUGGESTED  IN HIS RARE (AND I MUST SAY VERY SHORT BLOG...IT'S MORE LIKE A PARAGRAPH) ... HE'S BEEN GETTING IN TROUBLE FOR 13 YEARS.
EVEN AFTER 13 DANG YEARS PEOPLE STILL ASK ME "WHAT'S THE SHOW REALLY LIKE?'"  PLEASE...YOU SEE WHAT THE SHOW IS REALLY LIKE.   WE (MOSTLY) ENJOY EACH OTHER...WE STILL LAUGH LIKE FOOLS AT EACH OTHERS JOKES.  ONCE OUR BOSS( AS A FORM OF PUNISHMENT) MADE US WATCH THE SHOW...WE LAUGHED AGAIN AT ALL THE STUPID JOKES (FUNNY NO ONE ELSE IN THE MEETING LAUGHED).  I ACTUALLY CRIED BEFORE JOINING THE SHOW.  I WAS WITH MY HUSBAND IN ROBINSON'S ( IT WAS THAT LONG AGO) BUYING A COFFEE POT THAT WOULD AUTOMATICALLY MAKE ME COFFEE AT 3:15AM. I SAW MY  (NIGHT) LIFE GOING AWAY  AND I CRIED.  IT WOULD HAVE BEEN A PUDDLE IF I HAD KNOWN WE'D STILL BE HERE  THIS 13 YEARS LATER.
I STILL (MOSTLY) LOVE AND APPRECIATE MY JOB.  AS I HAVE SAID ON THE AIR (TOO MANY) TIMES I  DO GET SICK OF ALL THE NEGATIVE SH--.  THE TRASHY STORIES CAN BE FUN BUT AFTER SO MANY YEARS OF IT I DO FEEL IT'S TIME TO CLEAN IT UP A BIT.  THE PRODUCERS NOW LET ME ( CAUSE I CRIED...AGAIN I CRIED) DO ONE POLITICAL STORY IN THE 8 AM HOUR.  WHEN THEY SAID I COULD DO ONE MEASLY MEANINGFUL  STORY   A DAY (AFTER 13 YEARS OF CRAP)  WHAT DID I SAY?  I SAID  " OH MY GOD".

Oh my Gaaaawd!!!

I must say your are correct that Jill is "always" ticked...it's her nature!
She needs to get over it, in her words...Who Cares!

But as for you, I truly enjoy your playfulness and your adorable ways.....sometimes you take to long to tell a story, at times we don't get to hear the story because you went on to long and run out of time.....other than that your cool in my book! I was curious? Why don't they give you a computer like Steve has, so you don't have to run back and forth? Have you asked for one?

As for Steve finally blogging again....I'm stoked!!! It's good to have him back!

I think Bella has a good idea about the computer. I do get a little tiered of them always going to you...you not being there....talking for 5 min.'s about why you weren't there...Jillian (who I love) saying something kinda snarchky....so and so on. BUT its a team effort. Why don't they give you a heads up (more ahead of time) before going to you, and making sure your in place before showing the empty chair. Sometimes I think they do it to tease you. I like the new music today and yesterday. The queen music would bug me too. Its patronizing.

I love the show all in all, I love that you all joke and be yourselves. And by the way many of us thought you looked especially beautifull today! I love you in white but that blue is a close second.

BTW, who are you two (you and Jill) kidding, you know you miss Steve as much as we do when hes gone. ;- )

Cheap Labor: Chao Pandering to LULAC
If Phil Gramm thinks we’re all “whiners,” then Labor Secretary Elaine Chao must think we’re all idiots. Chao appeared before the League of United Latin-American Citizens’s annual meeting yesterday and pushed for free trade and more cheap foreign labor. Will the pandering ever stop?

But did the Labor Secretary mention the fact that in the four industries in which illegal aliens are most prevalent in this country — that is, leisure, hospitality, landscaping and construction — over the past five years, wages have declined while the administration goes around blabbering, suggesting that more labor is needed in those industries? We doubt it.

Dorothy,

Remember how Bob Donley and Jillian would go at each other if they were in the same room? (See my reply on Steve's latest blog about the show).

they wont let dorothy have a computer because steve would be annoyed of her constantly typing away on it changing her stories. plus she has a tendency to spill drinks on the keyboard alot. that's what i heard from dorothy last time she answered the "computer" question.

i just wish i could see dorothy in shots where she has to stand up. i guess it's because it's such a waste for her to wear short skirts and the viewers never get a chance to see her legs due to the desk. what can i say, she has great legs.

What every working performer NEEDS TO know ABOUT THE
2008 AFTRA PRIMETIME TELEVISION CONTRACT

GET THE REAL FACTS. Don’t be fooled by SPIN.

The new primetime television contract hammered out by the AFTRA Primetime Negotiating Committee is not only a good deal–it is the best deal that anyone will get this year. That’s why the working actors on the negotiating committee–all of whom are dual AFTRA and SAG cardholders–joined the singers, dancers, and stunt people who served alongside them in unanimously recommending that you VOTE YES TO RATIFY the 2008 AFTRA Primetime Television Contract (Exhibit A).

It’s easy for the Screen Actors Guild to claim that our deal isn’t good enough and that it can do better. But does anyone–including SAG’s own leadership–have any idea of exactly how SAG intends to get more from the studios than the Writers Guild, the Directors Guild, and AFTRA all got? The fact is that actions speak louder than words–and so far SAG has achieved nothing.

Don’t be fooled by spin. AFTRA, like the WGA and DGA before it, has negotiated a great agreement that delivers substantial improvements in wages and working conditions for all its members. We’ve done this in the midst of a challenging economic climate, at a moment of rapid and unsettling technological change, in an industry that is still recovering from the economic devastation of a 100-day strike. This is a time for tough-minded realism, not posturing and empty rhetoric. If you vote against ratifyi

Spin: AFTRA abandoned residuals in New Media.
FACT: AFTRA won its members the right to be paid residuals for New Media.
Currently there is NO agreed upon residual formula for either AFTRA or SAG when traditional TV programs are re-used in New Media. (The only exception is in the narrow area of Internet-delivered consumer video rentals.) Moreover, the existing AFTRA and SAG contracts leave it up to performers to work out their own individual deals for reuse of programs made for new media. The new AFTRA contract turns all this around, Following the pattern set by the WGA and DGA in their agreements, it establishes rate structures for ad-supported streaming, paid downloads, and New Media rentals, guaranteeing that performers will receive residuals when TV programs on which they’ve appeared are re-used in new media. For programs made directly for new media, performers no longer have to accept a complete “buy-out,” Instead, the new contract establishes residuals rates for both derivative and original programs as well as for New Media programs that are reused in traditional media.

Spin: AFTRA did not protect actors on clip consent
FACT: AFTRA preserved its members’ right to consent.
Despite enormous opposition from the Industry, AFTRA preserved performers’ longstanding right to grant or withhold consent for the use of non-promotional excerpts in New Media:

Library product (programs produced before July 1, 2008): Producers must bargain for consent to use non-promotional excerpts in New Media the same way they do for traditional media. AFTRA did agree to work with the

I really enjoy your gang's schtick when i get a chance to catch yall several times/mo. Am interstate trucker from Phx and usually spend a few days in L.A., and I catch the show off-the-air..which it had a Live Stream, would watch it! You guys are funny, but so many ppl are uptight, or think that they have to much of an elitist ego for good ole down to earth live chat humor. that you will not make everybody happy no matter what! And of course, many bloggers are just miserable ppl who bitch about everything...so keep on keeping on Fox L.A. and come out with a Live Stream....

I happened to turn on the TV. And, "Some like it Hot" was mentioned to be a dateless movie. Steve went on to talk about his naked calendar of Marilyn Monroe that his father gave him. They talked about a kid not believing that she was dead.

I haven't been watching the news lately. I was thinking about my 'Cortney Page' days, were I posed with the tourist on Hollywood Blvd. I was also the voice of MM in the Penny Marshall movie, "Calendar Girl."

I met Steve on the set of "GIFTED" last April of 07. He knew me as Zodiac, and I asked for a hug.

I love Good Day LA and Steve is very bright, expect when he makes those typical woman comments. Marilyn was not a typical woman.

PS. 'Cortney' is english for a court jester and 'Page' is a messenger from the tarot deck. Robin means both, and I knew I would be stereotyped and used a stage name, until age 30.

Dear Dorothy,
So what if Steve Edwards decides to blog at this time of Frikin day . I always take time to blog but I ask that the producers fire you and Steve on the show in front of viewers . Jillian must stay . Nischelle or Lisa must replace you and Tony should be best to replace Steve .

Dorothy, normally I adore you but please stop with the politics!! You're supposed to be an entertainment reporter not a political commentator! You are too far to the left to give an unbiased account of the disgusting political scene today. Sorry, Dems have lost their minds regarding McCain and Palin. The anger, the lies, the making up stories, the scrutiny of Sarah Palin. I love politics but I can't wait until this election is over with. I can no longer watch The Today Show, GMA or the worst-The View. I would hate to start turning you off too. You're too biased and offer no rebuttal. It's unfair and I thought you would be above it. It's like The View panel all over again. Steve is just as liberal and Jillian is just an idiot-a liberal one at that. Thought I'd never say it but let's hear more meaningless stories from vacuous so-called movie stars :) Cheryl
