Wow...we managed to beat Kansas, now we gotta beat Florida...can we do it?? As you already probably know, we are up against the defending champs and a bitter past, know what I mean? We lost to Florida last year in the championship game...will it be deja vu or will the Bruins dominate the court ?? Who knows! Sooooo excited about the game, particularly because there were so many haters who came up to me to say UCLA would not get past Kansas!! Get this, one example, I was wearing my UCLA windbreaker yesterday to the grocery store and a woman shouted not so nice things about the Bruins...however, as my friend says, you can be a hater all you want, but the reality is that won't change the outcome. UCLA is still in the game!!

Alright...so granted--my bracket hasn't been terribly on mark, but I may be onto something if UCLA defeats Florida this Saturday huh! Hee hee...ya know I am definitely more of a college sports fan although I have been quite faithful over the years at attending Dodger, Angels, and Galaxy games.

So, what do you think will be the final score? UCLA 65? Florida 64? And... where are you basketball watchers going to watch the game??? Alright, no pics on my end to show you this time...but plz send us your pics of you at the Bruin basketball viewing party this Saturday!!! Talk to ya later...

As much as I'd like to see UCLA wins this one, no team has me more worried like Florida. They do everything really well like UCLA and so the Bruins have to do a really good job of rebounding to win.

I'm a homer, so I'll pick the Bruins to win, 62-59. But man, it's going to be real close for the entire game.

I'm sure you'll be out partying somewhere near Westwood, reliving your college days, watching this one on the tube, right?

2 More wins and UCLA does it, GO BRUINS!!, by the way you never answered the question I asked, are you married or single, there are alot of us guys out here who want to know, and if any of us has a chance; since you are by far the hottest reporter on TV today. Keep it up.

Hi Liz,

You have such a sweet spirit..I enjoy watching you because you are so bubbly and some mornings I really need to hear someone bubbly. Well, in my household, I have one son (14yrs old) USC fan and the other son (18yrs old) a UCLA fan. Can you imagine what it's like in my house when either of them are playing?? I'm the only girl in the house, so I just stay in the room and let my husband be in the middle of it all. It doesn't matter to me who wins because I just want one of them to win, but since USC is out, then UCLA better bring it!! Hey Liz, have you done any stories on organizations that help the youth? I am 40 yrs old and my passion is to do work where I can make a difference and feel satisfied about it. I have been at my job for 17 yrs and it's really not what I want to do for the next 17yrs. I am passionate about helping others, so when you get a chance let me know. Keep smiling girl :-)

Hi Elizabeth,

Just wanted to say it’s great to see a successful Latina in this modern word. I always get a sense of pride when I see you on the news adding to that very diverse group.

My husband and I saw you at Miss El Salvador USA a few months ago. My sister was one of the contestants (Vanessa Vasquez/Miss Santa Ana) in the pageant, she lost. We've since disowned her.

You and your Co-workers are my alarm clock (couldn't hang with channel 5/jk) every morning. Coffee and some news start my morning.

As a Latina I’m sure you know how hard it is to get ahead or even a chance to prove yourself. With this said I was hoping you could take a look at a little project that my husband and I have been working on for the past five years. It is a small boutique located at 233 S. La Cienega just south of Wilshire. My husband also made a simple website “vagoboutique.com. Oh yeah, we named it Vago because we’re never home. At times we feel bad because we have two kids and we wish we could spend more time with them, but we have to do this for them so they don’t have to grow up the way my husband and I did.

If you ever find yourself in the neighborhood, please stop by.

Thank you for your time.

Sincerely

Kenny Morales

Ddain...

Reliving my college days huh? Those were the days of glory..I tell kids all the time, college is the best part of the "Academic Experience"...it is such an amazing time to learn, grow and meet new friends!

Anyway, about UCLA yeah Florida does worry me, but listen...as long as they go out there and play with passion we have a chance!! ttyl-

Richdogs,

Hello hon, UCLA is now in Atlanta, let's hope for the best! Hottest reporter huh, wow, you are too kind...thank you sweeetie! About my "marital status", like I said its a bit complicated but I will say gracias for the love!
What, no pic yet? Did you email your address to us at wwww.newscomments@fox11.com ? Who should I sign it to?
Go Bruins!

NurseUrs...

So you have both teams well represented at home huh? Sounds like fun and a colorful home! :)
Ok, so I LOVE your spirit...you are 40 years young and looking to serve. How wonderful is that! You are an example to so many other women in your position! I believe there are many avenues for you to take. I would say first volunteer at a youth center in your area to get a feel for it. There are many ways you can volunteer, it's just a matter of figuring out which agency to join and in what capacity. Don't quit your job until you've done the paperwork and have determined you don't need the gig to pay the house and other bills...the reality is you have great seniority going at this place, 17 yrs right? Wow. Make a list of what you want to do, and like you've done here, keep searching, blogging, and asking everybody about different organizations. O

Ani77...

Yes go Bruins, but oh well, I guess it will have to be next year...once again the Bruins became "gator bait"...darn, we were looking soo good..but Florida didn't let up, remained focused and strong! Hey, it was fun while it lasted! So who will take the trophy now??? Ohio...Florida... what do you all think?

Am I the only person here that realizes that these are two different issues?
Immigration is a FEDERAL issue. Which our president is clearly not addressing because he is too busy entering other countries illegally. If you have a problem with illegals call your senators and congresspersons Maybe when Bush gets deported from Iraq he'll have some time to clean up his own backyard.
For now the local issue is the beating of peaceful human beings in a park.
It is my understanding that Mark Coogan, Carl Stein, Patti Ballaz and yes even Christina Gonzalez are AMERICAN CITIZENS.
They are all within there constitutional rights and local PD right(they carry neon passes blessed by the LAPD and Sheriff Dept.) to report the truth. So the same freedom that allows us to voice our opinions allows them to report our opinions and Video the facts.
My suggestion to ALL AMERICANS is as follows. We should frame our birth certificates or citizen documents and hang them around our necks when we are going in public so our fellow AMERICAN won't hate us and our law enforcement agencies won't club us. There you go problem solved.
