wow, so sad, not one post...u intrigue me young lady, on one hand your to be commended for your professional achievements, on the other, u should be ashamed to walk that Hispanic American tightrope u all so love to straddle...tell me, why is so important for u to hang on to your heritage, my people came from ireland and italy, i'm quite ambivalent about both countries and spend no time whatsoever forcing my ancestries down my fellow Americans throats, my mother held two passports for most of her life, i always used to ask her what if those two countries went to war, which one would u root for, needless to say she never answered me, i put the same question to you now, and heres the rub, while Salvador has come a long way in the last two decades, its quite likely to repeat the past one of these days, inevitable actually, so liz, which one u gonna root for?

hey lizzy, nice to see ya back. i was worried for a moment, when i notice you weren't on tv for over 2 days. i was like where's lizzy???? i was thinking, did she get fired? is she on vacation? is she suspended? but i was really surprise to see you on tv.

sounds like you had a great trip. my friends are from el salvador, so they always talk to me about what it's like there. they described it similar to what you spoke of. they grew up on a farm there, and they would talk about how it was like living on the farm. maybe one day i'll go on my own. i don't really get a chance to travel too much.

well in case you didnt read my last blog. check out what i wrote to ya. "hey lizzy. i just went to the kroq l.a. invasion on saturday. it was so bad as*. i mean seeing vevet revolver (guns n roses/stone temple pilots), foo fighters, kid rock, cypress hill, janes addiction, the return of the smashing pumpkins, and chris cornell (soundgarden/audioslave). it was a amazing 11 1/2 hours. so that's what i did over the weekend. my sister and her husband went to the lobster festival that you were covering. also my friend too. wish i could have gone, but i was at the show. so that's what's up with me. p.s. let's chat all day lizzy. j/k but check out my blog on the music section. hmm at first i wouldnt think you would be worthy ddain, but after reading many of your funny blogs, you sure are. i'm sure pretty soon they are gonna put you infront of the camera.

as for liz, well she's like ruben blades or mana. in america she's well known, but in every other country she's like a god (goddess).

what are you talking about "not the kind of rain you run from because here at home, ...you risk coming down with the flu."? and what is "clouds look like cotton balls suspended in the air" What? You've never seen clouds before? I don't grasp your descriptive report, yet it is no big deal. No one else commenting here read the blog anyway! Glad you're back though, missed you lots.

i forgot one other item i wanted to mention. i missednever heard of this emmy winner -- Half hour special report "Forgotten Footprints: the Hunted Children of Uganda". i don't regret my not watching the emmy awards, but that is impressive that some at the leading national newspaper requested an interview you as soon as they found out about the earned emmy. why were they so enchanted by the emmy?

victor, is it that hard for u to celebrate the actual country that permits this forum of expression??? if u take so much pride from ur homeland why dont u return permantly? im assuming theres a reason u feld at 14, im trying to help u understand two things, one: pride in ones country is the lowest form of humanity there is, thats Nietzsche dog, not me, secondly, how do u suppose it makes run of the mill Americans such as myself feel who have no experience such as yours to draw from to compare? that said, do u see how i could interept both u and liz's, "Pride" and find offense in it? give it some thought and i think u will see my point, sorry the food doesnt meet ur taste here either, again see above mentioned solution for that as well...

how awesome congrats on going to el salvador! I would love to go there one day! I was born and raised in LA both of my parents are from zacatecas mexico but my boyfriend is from EL SALVADOR! YAY! and also my brothers wife is from salvi too. i would love to go see different places

Elizabeth, first of all congrats on your Emmy, Second, congrats for your interview in El Diario De Hoy. Thank you for never forgetting your roots and at the same time embracing this great country of ours we call home.
Those that failed to see what an honor it is to have such diverse background will never understand it. Your are definately a great role model for our young latinas.
