Here's a subject that Boortz revisited today on his radio show. You liberals out there should take heed as this is enough to make you consider not voting for his highness, the king.

The democrats attempted to pass this in the early-1990's before the Republicans took control of both houses of Congress. Here's a simplified explanation:

Your house is worth $200,000. Houses of similar value in your neighborhood rent for $2000 per month. You own your home free and clear so you have no mortgage payment. The libs want to tax you on "imputed income" of $24,000 per year (12 x $2000); in other words, they want to consider the amount that you would have paid, but didn't, for housing - income for taxation purposes. So you would have the tidy amount of $24,000 added to your taxable income.

Pretty nifty of those geniuses in the democrat party, huh? Those of you that are considering putting "God" in the White House might want to think twice before pulling the lever for Obama.

WAAAHHHHH!

OK, perhaps someone can clear this up for me:

WHY is it that the pablum-puking liberals (you know who YOU are) are constantly harping about the manner in which the administration has trampled their rights, specifically with regard to the Patriot Act?

However, these same sniveling whack-jobs have their panties wrinkled over the recent Supreme Court decision over handgun ownership.

Personally, I know of no one who has had their rights trampled. How about you? Has the administration done something that infringes upon YOUR rights?

If you ask me, you can't have it both ways.

Exactly WHY is it that the people (Barack Hussein Obama, for instance) that are trying to convince us that "we cannot drill our way out" of the 21st century energy crisis, are the very SAME people that are trying to convince us that GOVERNMENT is the solution to the health insurance crisis.

GMAFB!

We have been hearing a great deal about "Drill Now" with regard to opening up our offshore waters as well as the ANWR in Alaska to oil drilling. Of course, the high-and-might democrats (such as one Senator Bill Nelson as well as the illustrious Harry Ried and Nancy Pelosi, among many others)  are fighting these efforts tooth-and-nail.

I do not subscribe to the philosophy that this will bring down the price of oil right away. HOWEVER, I do believe that the mere commitment (whether we actually drill or not) will help to ease the upward push in prices that is being caused by those "evil speculators". Look at it this way...if you were speculating (gambling) that the supply of a commodity was going to remain the same or decrease with time as the speculators are doing, and something took place which MIGHT indicate that supplies would, in fact, increase, would you not be less likely to place such a bet?

I believe that psychology, rather than actual supply and demand, would have a great deal to do with the price. Just look at what happens when a hurricane forms within a thousand miles of the Gulf of Mexico if you believe that psychology does not factor into the equation.

BTW: Write your elected officials and let them know in no uncertain terms that you believe that our economic security trumps the environment and "global warming". Hey, Senator Nelson...how many of your constituents actually LIVE or own property on the beach? My bet is that it is a very small minority. You need to follow the governor's lead.

NBC ran a very touching tribute to Tim Russert this morning. It was a special Meet the Press hosted by Tom Brokaw which featured Mike Barnicle, Doris Kearns-Goodwin, Gwen Ifill, James Carville, Mary Madalin, and Betsy Fischer, executive producer of the show.

I was never a huge fan of Russert. I found his questioning, along with most of NBC's on-air personnel, to be liberally slanted. But he did ask the tough questions and he never let anyone off easy, regardless of political affiliation.

But it was Russert's commitment to his family and his friends which I believe will define his legacy. I have heard a great  deal about the books that he has authored whose themes  have to do with fatherhood and family. I have never read his work but I may do just that. Russert died at fifty-eight - way too young.

With my own father having recently turned ninety-one, and after having watched the Meet the Press tribute, I want to remind everyone - if you still have your father - to call him today, Fathers' Day. I hope that you, like me, have wonderful memories of your childhood. Take time to remember those things.

And to my father and all of you dads out there...HAPPY FATHERS' DAY!

...a hypothesis by FloydFreak

Let me run this by you:

We have seen the price of oil double in, what, the past six months? Gasoline has gone from $3.20 per gallon in March to over four dollars. A twenty-five percent increase in just over two months.

Who's to blame? Of course, the lefties want to blame Bush. He!!, he's gotten blamed for everything else, so why not?

I am of the opinion that what we are seeing is a well-orchestrated effort on the part of the Arabs/OPEC to stifle production and artificially drive up the price of petroleum. The ensuing economic slowdown hurts whom? Why, it hurts Bush and the Republicans. Who else? And whom does it help? Right you are - it's helping to put check marks in the Obamarama column.

Who cares if Obama is a slick-tongued empty suit? Who cares if his message of "change" is going to mean that we are going to slide precipitously into socialism? As long as Obama gets elected. And exactly who are going to be the beneficiaries of an Obama presidency? Why the Arabs, who else? He has already indicated that he wants to "talk" to terrorist/totalitarian regimes (which means dropping his drawers for them so that the US can apply some Vaseline to those oh so tender spots).

On the other hand, worldwide recession will eventually result in a decrease in demand for oil - it HAS to...eventually. But by then, King Barack will have ascended the throne (somewhere where I'm going to need to go after I write this) and the Middle East will have their lap dog well entrenched in power.

I'm FloydFreak and that's my view.

King Obama, fresh from his coronation, made some remarks to a gathering of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee. An excerpt follows,

"I want you to know that today I’ll be speaking from my heart, and as a true friend of Israel."

If the folks at AIPAC fall for his slick tongue, well, they will have made their bed. They need to keep in mind that this is from a person that has at least "associations", if you will, with persons that look up to and revere the illustrious Louis Farrakhan.

If the Jewish community fails to see through Obama, we're all BLEEPed.

McCain now needs to go after it like a pit bull on a wild hog.

It is America's ONLY hope for the future.

I received this is an e-mail:

The following is the 2007 winning entry from an annual contest at Texas A&M University calling for the most appropriate definition of a contemporary term. This year's term was " Political Correctness".

The winner wrote:

"Political Correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a t*rd by the clean end."

After twenty years of attending the Trinity United Church of Christ, Senator Obama has decided to leave the church.

Gee, Senator, I can't for the life of me imagine WHY.

Obama's true colors are starting to shine through, possibly to the point where even the blind masses can see them.

We can only hope.

Boo hoo! The squatters that have been living in FEMA trailers in New Orleans for nearly THREE BLEEPING YEARS are being "evicted". Sorry folks - time to stop sucking off the public T-!-T. Exactly HOW long were you expecting "the government" to spoon-feed you? FOR-BLEEPING-EVER???

Listen up - I lost my home to Hurricane Jeanne in late-September 2004. Less than fourteen months later, I moved into my newly-built home. Do you know how much I got from "the government"? Those of you that have read my rants regarding this subject know - $400.

NO FEMA trailer, NO $2000 debit card - he!!, I didn't even get a bag of G-D FEMA ice.

I am sick to freaking DEATH of hearing about the "victims" of Katrina. They should have been booted twenty-two months ago - ONE YEAR IS PLENTY OF TIME for the people to have either gotten a job or gotten the heck out of NO and to another city where they could find work. There's enough assistance available everywhere to have made that possible for everyone.

Some "advocate" gave the government a grade of "D-minus".

Quit your whining and get to work. ENOUGH ALREADY!

Talk about a perfect day. First, you have eight gazillion posts by STS-124 telling you everything you wanted to know about the Shuttle (and about five billion things about it that you didn't know - or care - about). Follow that up with another endless rant by FreedomFree (aka, Doctor Suess) that took twelve spins of the mouse wheel to skip past.

Yessiree - it's been a good day, Tampa Bay!

Can you say, "My Fox Orlando dot com?"

So...have you seen the video of the latest rant in Obama's church? This one by Father Michael Pfleger?

This guy is every BIT as racist as Jeremiah Wright as evidenced by his voice inflection. He even SOUNDED like Wright.

As much as Hillaryous repulses me, I cannot say that I blame her for being offended. All white people should be. I am (but I'll get over it). People of color should be, too.

Naturally, none of this will stick to Mister Polytetrafluoroethylene. The Catholic Church should be ashamed of the good father. All good Christians should be.

He REALLY isn't such a bad guy. So what if he wears horns, carries a scepter, and lives somewhere hotter than Florida.

He really makes some valid points. You guys just don't understand him. Then you call him names - like Lucifer - and mock him. It's no wonder that he calls you guys names, too.

You really should just learn to understand and get along with him. When he calls you names, you should just turn the other cheek like a good Christian.

I am your normal, middle-class, "working Joe". But I am also a capitalist and believe that nothing good comes from socialistic entitlement programs. I believe in hunting down and killing terrorists like the little rats that they are (except that that statement is denigrating to rats). I grew up in a very conservative household and was fortunate enough to have had a conservative American Government teacher (a retired US Army colonel) who helped to show me the "right" way. Are there things that I would like to change? Absolutely. But NOT the kind of "change" being espoused by Hillarock Obaminton. I have lived in Florida for forty of my forty-eight years. I've been a big Pink Floyd fan since my teen years hence the moniker, FloydFreak. My friends call me Freak, Floyd, and FF. The libs call me a neocon. I wear that badge proudly. Please note that I enjoy engaging in spirited discussion - even with those with whom I disagree. There are a number of individuals on these boards whom I respect even if I DO think that they're out of touch with reality. Please note also that I do not tolerate personal attacks on my character. If you think that I'm full of BLEEP, you have the right to say so. But drag my character into the gutter and expect retaliation in kind with FloydFreak's own brand of sarcasm. Keep it civil and we'll get along fine. To those of you that see good in America and want the OPPORTUNITY for prosperity for all - and do not just seek to soak it to "the rich", I say God bless you. And God bless America!
