When is enough enough?

What do we have to do to get some help around here. Why do we put all these people in office if they aren't willing to DO SOMETHING? WE HAVE OIL HERE IN AMERICA PEOPLE!!!! Why is THEIR oil better than ours? What are you doing? Are you saving it for a rainy day? When are you people that WE put in office gonna grow some backbone and pull your ba!!s out of your pocket and DO  YOUR JOB. Next time these foreign oil companies want to charge us more money for their oil JUST SAY NO!!! EVER HEAR THAT WORD? N O!!! What will happen to the price of their oil if we don't buy it? When it just sits there for a few weeks and the weeks turn into months what do you think is gonna happen. They have to get rid of it somehow, someway. Gee, maybe if we lower the price somebody will buy it. WOW !!! What a wonderful idea. See there people. That's at least an idea. How many have you come up with? USE AMERICAN OIL AND SHOW THEM WE DO NOT NEED YOU!!! BUT WHAT DO YOU CARE ANYWAY? You ride around in goverment cars with gas that is paid for by taxpayers money so you don't have to worry about gas prices. If it went to $10.00 a gallon  would you care? No money out of your pocket. I 've seen the cars that these politicans ride around in. Nice ride. Wake up out there and stop making promises that you aren't prepared to keep. AMERICA NEEDS YOU NOW!!!!!!!!!

hehehehehehe..... maybe the thinking is that we are using everyone else's oil first. When the Middle East is sucked dry, everyone's gonna look to us.

If we as a nation last through that w/out the dollar completely collapsing, we'd be in a pretty good negotiating position.

If only "world trade" were as simple as the U.S. halting imports from selective foreign countries, what a fun place this would be. All major economies depend on ahiping and trading with other lands, friend or foe. That has not changed since the days of the Pharos in ancient Egypt.

Sorry, but the only alternative to fossil fuel dependency is "alternative" sources of energy and that's the last thing oil special interests want to hear. So, no Federal money for research and development, no "alternatives."

I saw a program on solar that showed Germany has a generous program for people who have enough land for a solar farm - mini or large. Perhaps one day our government will follow suit? I know we do, but not on the scale that Germany does. It seems to be working for them. Homeowners are able to generate a profit and everyone is happy.

Makes sense to me.

One thing is for sure. If we have to depend on our goverment to do anything that smart we are gonna have a long wait. They are more worried about things that really have no purpose anyway. Something that might actually help us we can forget about. Instead of taking so many trips to the space station every year let's use that money here on earth. Not likely any of us are ever gonna live in space. Lets use the money here and if we have to go to the space make ONE trip. NOT 3 or 4. More goverment intellegence at work.

I am a 46 year old housewife with a 9 year old autistic child. I have lived in Florida my whole life and have been as far as Tennessee. I would love to be able to travel with our son but living with an autistic child makes it hard to do. I Spend a lot of time reading and learning all I can about Autism and ways to help my child learn . We are hoping that they will soon learn what causes Autism and ways to treat it.
