jane never been to this music festival....dont overanalyze and plan....just go and take it all in...let iflow...have fun....you r one fine looking woman and a very good reporter...

Ok, here's the real deal. I went to Coachella a couple of years ago with the same enthusiasm as you. To put it nicely, it almost killed me. I had heat exhaustion and suffered nausea for a week.

You see, the management of that concert did not have a clue as to what was happening. Or if they did than they are basically bad people. If I could of I would have sued the entire establishment for endangering our lives.
First: The heat was unbearable and no shade…..You’ll see…Hopefully they did something this time.
Second: The Tents had no vents at the top. They were completely packed. It stunk like humanity in a sauna. It was hotter in the tent than in the blaring sun.
Third: These fools were selling 6 ounce water bottles for 6 bucks. They made a killing and since I didn’t bring the bank with me….well….I didn’t drink much. There were no drinking fountains.
Fourth: I saw at least 10 people faint of heat exhaustion and there were no medics.
Fifth: The bathrooms were not being cleaned at all.
Sixth: The dirt was very dry and the wind picked up so it was very dusty. There should have been water trucks in the parking lots and in the actual concert grounds. They should have sprayed the people with water.
Seventh: Too many tickets were sold for such a small venue. That little patch of grass was completely packed.
Eighth: Missed The Cure because I was experiencing a subtle Heat Stroke……….It lasted a week. Nausea and pain.
Ninth: There was only one shade tent. And it was only available to you if you bought beer. What a scam. I bought beer to be in

i never really like this event because their are very few bands that i enjoy in the whole event. as for moemusicspace, well what she said is mostly true to all big events like this. remember woodstock? but sometimes it gets way out of hand at times.

as for acts you should watch out for-1st day- aphex twins, the verve are cool

2nd day- death cab for cutie, and the cold war kids

3rd day- no one that i like that day.
have fun, take tons of water, and sell them to make a bundle on the side jane. 100 bucks per water. i swear people will buy it by the 2nd day.

The Raconteurs (Jack White is a guitar god!)
Vampire Weekend (preppy, catchy and fun)
Rilo Kiley (Jenny Lewis - best career move since 'Camp Beverly Hills)
Chromeo (peace in the middle east - set to music)
Portishead (bass for the bowels)
Calvin Harris (he invented disco)
Cold War Kids (local boys)
Goldfrapp (not to be confused with a cold frap)
Holy BLEEP (exactly)
Jack Johnson (because you'll need to relax)
and finally Prince (only if he plays his early '80s stuff anything created by him in the last 15 years stinks)

hey jane, saw your mariah report. seems like it was a pretty crazy story. mobs all going wild, young teeny boppers shedding tears, and a outrage crowd that has every right to be, because the person they went to see showed up 2 hours late. it was a good story that you did.

i'm not a fan of mariah, i think she's too much of a diva and to me most diva's are all pretty messed up in their heads. just major ego's. it's sad that she doesn't appreciate her fans as much as they appreciate her.
