Indiana Jones: Did You Like It?

It’s been awhile since I went to the movies, but I made a point to go the other night and check out the new Indiana Jones movie. I can say I’m a fan of the first three Indy movies, with my favorite probably being the first, “Raiders of the Lost Ark”.

There was a lot of hype surrounding “Indiana Jones and The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull”, and why not? With Harrison Ford back as Indy and Karen Allen even returning to the cast, I was psyched to see it.

But you know what? I didn’t like it, and I can’t really figure out why.

Am I alone on this? Let me know what you thought about Indy 4, because I really wanted to like it.

i'm not a fan of the series, but judging by the commercials, it looked cheesy, and it didnt have the look like the first 3 films. it's like you can tell it's fake, unlike the other ones that sucks you in. i also think it looks more like a parady of the originals, rather then having it's own identity.

You are right on Jane, it was horrible!! Ford was great, but he nothing to work with. The sets and action were all CGI, Cate was too over the top, Shia was just awful trying to be a tough guy & his character was so cliche, Karen was disturbing- just enormous and her face was a trainwreck, poor thing. The plot (cough, cough) was a cheesy ripoff from X Files, whatever!! Miss you on That's So Hollywood Jane, you need more screen time on Fox/UPN.

The movie was fun to watch. Very over the top. I thought the waterfall scene was funny, but Crystal Skull didn't live up to the last Indy movie. Harrison is just to old to cut the image of Indy any more. This movie should have been made 10 years ago plus I didn't like the plot. Indy goes to Area 51? The last scene in Indy 4 was right out of the X Files movie! I also wanted more character development. Karen Allan's part was too small, Shia was barely a side kick, and Indy's partner turned traitor was a waste of time . With the amount of money this movie had available for a script writer I expected a better story.

I just went to see it... It was horrible. I couldn't remember the pressure points that I used to use to help stay awake while studying or driving so I just dosed off.

When I woke up I kept hoping Jones' son would "Transformers" the movie into something a little less laborius to watch. But it did pick up towards then end alittle. And I liked the re-appearance of his old flame... she was fun to watch.

Don't waste your time on this piece of crap.

Spend your money on Iron Man instead. GREAT FLICK!
