So a Pasco County Teacher is in trouble over a tongue piercing. At face value this nothing more than someone breaking a school rule and being punished, however it is much more than that. This is a much larger problem then "dress code violations." This is a matter of social conditioning.
Rather than just (politely?) ask her to remove the piercing and explain that it's a rule to be followed while working there, the school instead decides to blow the whole thing out of proportion (like always) and somehow got this on the news.
The children are now being shown that piercings are unprofessional and of course "wrong." So now they are being subconciously told that anyone with piercings should be ashamed of their own choices and are "un-fit" to work in a "normal" place.
This is just another agenda being pushed so that we all become happy little drones instead of turning to the dark side of the force which is so obviously indicated by tattoos and piercings, I mean look at Darth Maul.
Before you go off thinking this is an over reaction on my part (which it probably is), think about the last time you saw someone with a visable tattoo or piercing and what you thought about them. Unless your ink and metal shows proudly too, I imagine you didn't have the most desirable thoughts crossing your mind.
Staying within that vein, the same people who support the ban of everything not rated "E" are the ones pushing to get tattoos and piercings away from your children so their minds stay uncorrupted and safe. Since having any differences from their perfect suburbia is the clear, precise, and only way of knowing if a person will be anything at life or has any mental disorder what-so-ever.
So Invader Zim corrupts the minds of all children into becoming homicidal megalomaniacs bent on world domination, which is so far proving true with the sheer mass of prepubescent serial killers wearing long black trenchcoats waving the Nazi flag and listening to rock music somehow evading our grasp, but having a tattoo or piercing is just breaking the rules?
Somebody's trying to have their cake and eat it too, but with over-weight children becoming an increasing "epidemic" there was never any cake as far as your concerned.
Take it from someone who has been royally screwed by the school system . . .
They really think their untouchable, even when they break their own rules, and even when they break the law.
That's the truly saddening part about all this, they can punish and take until nothing's left without ever batting an eye but if you try and stop them your thrown into the Panther's Den without a second glance.
