MY OSCAR PREP STARTED EARLY THANKS TO MY ALARM CLOCK IN THE FORM OF BEN AND ELSIE MY TWINS...THEY WOKE AT 6:15AM....I WOULD HAVE PREFERRED ABOUT 3 MORE HOURS OF SLEEP, BUT CUDDLING WITH THEM WAS THE BEST PART OF THE DAY...
EVEN BETTER THAN MY GEORGE CLOONEY KISS!

SO MY HUSBAND HATES AWARD SHOW DAYS, AS I AM A TOTAL MESS ABOUT MY HAIR AND MAKEUP WHICH I TYPICALLY DO MYSELF...THIS YEAR I GAVE HIM A GIANT PASS AND WENT INTO THE STATION AND HAD THE SPECIAL EFFECTS DEPARTMENT WORK THEIR MAGIC...THIS IS TAMI IN MAKEUP...GETTING RID OF THOSE MOMMY EYES!



NOW INTO HAIR AND DOTTIE...GIVING ME A CHANCE FOR SOME LAST MINUTE CRAMMING!...BOTH TAMI AND DOTTIE WORK ON THE LADIES FROM "DEAL OR NO DEAL" SO I WAS IN GOOD HANDS!!!


HERE'S THE FINISHED PRODUCT...WITH TIM GUNN FROM "PROJECT RUNWAY"....HE ASKED WHO DID MY DRESS...IT'S MARCHESA , I BOUGHT IT LAST WEEK MAJORLY ON SALE!!! AND HE SAID IT WAS FANTASTIC, LOVED THE COLOR. I BORROWED THE EARRINGS AND NECKLACE FROM CABACHON IN SANTA MONICA...THE REST OF THE JEWELS FROM MY LOVELY HUSBAND.



HERE'S GINO, MY PHOTOGRAPHER, HE DID ALL THE HEAVY LIFTING, HE HAD THAT CAMERA ON HIS SHOULDER FOR 2 1/2 SOLID HOURS AND DID AN OUTSTANDING JOB...IT'S IMPOSSIBLE TO HEAR WHATS GOING ON WITH ALL THE SCREAMING, BUT HE NEVER FAILS...I STARTED TO COMPLAIN ABOUT MY SORE FEET AND BACK FROM STANDING IN 3 INCH HEELS, AND THEN QUICKLY REALIZED I SHOULD JUST BE QUIET!



DEBORAH NORVILLE WAS STANDING RIGHT NEXT TO ME, AND AS I'VE ALWAYS ADMIRED HER, I COMPLETELY DORKED OUT AND ASKED FOR A PHOTO...WE REALLY HAD FUN WAITING FOR THE STARS TO ARRIVE...THE RED CARPET OPENS AT 3PM...BUT THE STARS REALLY DIDN'T START ARRIVING UNTIL THE LAST HOUR, AND THEN IT'S GANG BUSTERS!



AT THE TIME HE DIDN'T KNOW HE WOULD BE WINNING BEST ACTOR, ALTHOUGH I THINK EVERYONE ELSE KNEW HE WAS A SHOE-IN....HE SAID IT WAS NERVE-WRACKING BUT AN EXPERIENCE YOU NEVER FORGET!



AND THE FABULOUS MR. CLOONEY...I BELIEVE HE HAS SUCH RESPECT FOR THE MEDIA, AND ALWAYS TAKES TIME TO TALK TO EVERYONE (YOU PROBABLY KNOW HIS DAD WAS A NEWSCASTER)...SO I THINK HE WANTS TO MAKE SURE EVERYONE GET'S A LITTLE SOMETHING FROM HIM.
THIS YEAR HE BROUGHT HIS GIRLFRIEND SARAH WHO WAS WEARING A VALENTINO GOWN, WHEN I ASKED HOW SHE KEEPS HE GROUNDED, SHE REPLIED I GIVE HIM ALCOHOL!
HE GAVE ME A KISS!!!! WHICH IF YOU SEE MY STORY WE REPLAYED OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN!






THE DEAR RUBY DEE...SHE WAS SURROUNDED BY HER GRANDCHILDREN AND SAID THE WHOLE EXPERIENCE WAS SUCH A HEADY ONE...IN ALL HER YEARS SHE'S NEVER BEEN TO THE OSCARS! I TRULY BELIEVE SHE ENJOYED EVERY SECOND OF THE LEAD UP TO THE BIG EVENT.



WE'RE FINALLY DONE!!!! THIS IS MY FIELD PRODUCER ATHENIA, WHO WAS SUCH A LIFE SAVER! SHE MADE GREAT CHEAT SHEETS FOR ME! AND REALLY PUT TOGETHER A GREAT FASHION MONTAGE FOR MY RED CARPET PIECE...YOU'VE GOT TO CHECK IT OUT!

i saw the piece which was assembled. the cuts at the beginning were too fast. i could not focus on what any image was. the music was horrible. as i watched i thought about who would've felt the piece was good. it was horrible. how do you evaluate a field producer's talent?

I THOUGHT YOUR SEGMANET ON THE OSCARS WAS GREAT. I UNDERSTAND WHY THE TAKES ARE SO FAST, ITS BECAUSE THERE IS SO MUCH TO FIT IN. I THOUGHT YOU LOOKED BEAUTIFUL, GREAT COLOR ON YOU. I CAN'T BELIEVE GEORGE KISSED YOU, YOUR LUCKY GIRL!! YOU ALWAYS DO AN AMAZING JOB. WE ALL LOVE YOU!! I MISSED YOUR WEB CAST, BUT I READ ON THE BLOGGS THAT YOU WERE EXCELLENT.

Misses Lisa B. You truly are a very American and well polished LADY!!! You bring class in the mornings where GDLA with the exception of Steve and Larry and most of the time Dorothy, lack class severely and I will not get into it further to say, thank you for bringing the rest of America an American lady with class, dignity and respect not to mention talent. Please do not ever change, because you truly are remarkable.

hey there, thanks for your thoughts...you know in looking back at the piece the shots could have been a bit longer...but i also know we also do fashion outside of the piece throughout the morning, and i think it was a chance to give a flavor.
when i did the webcast it was fun, it was the first one so i think none of us knew really what to expect.
have a great day...i am off to work on another piece for thursday, and need to do interviews for our website with nate berkus and t.r. knight...see ya!

First of all let me start off with I am a devoted viewer to FOXLA morning news.

Today I was very disappointed about your comment on the whole Jennifer Garner/Gary Busey incident. Let me make it clear I'm no Gary Busey fan nor I can't even think if I ever saw one of his movies. But that doesn't give you the right to make your comments and don't quote me but it was something to the fact that "I wanted him to move to the side so I wouldn't miss the opportunity to interview George Clooney”. And other comments you mentioned. As if that wasn't shameful enough you had to make your face expressions.

Shame on you Lisa Breckenridge! You are there to report the news not to express to everyone how you feel about interviewing Gary Busey/George Clooney etc...etc... No matter how big of a star/or how important you think any star is, their just regular people like you and I.

Today, you have confirmed what I have always known you are the biggest news anchor SNOB I've ever known.

Oh, and by the way, I’m a devoted watcher because of Tony and Jean. There’s no way I would watch it if I had to spend a whole hour with you!

A little advice go watch the tape and maybe you can learn from this experience.

HEY Lisa , Just want to tell you,, That the Knock Knock Make-over you did yesterday??Oh My yes well yesterdays make-over was a dyeing girl you helped her to look so pretty!! AWW I am a very sensitive and compassionate person so I have to tell you LISA THAT WAS AWESOME You know you are that poor girl's hero now! You know how much you have done?? You have a GIANT HEART Lisa Oh just was so GREAT ENJOY YOUR GIFT OF COMPASSION it will take you very far in your life!! Hey 1fanfoxlamorningnews , shame on you for not getting it right. Lisa is an entertainment reporter and pundit of sorts. That means that her reporting is mixed and thus since it is entertainment she does have a journalistic right for some commentary. Now if she were just reporting straight general news topics that would be one thing, but do to the nature of the entertainment business and celeb status of people, they are fair game for honest criticism so her job performance was dead on. I honestly think that in a business littered with many Tinselturds and Hollysluts, Lisa stands out as a well balanced field and anchor talent.

wow,
so the first response to the comments from 1fanfoxlamorningnews is just to hit the delete button, that's the honest first reaction, but i suppose that's just human, and besides this is a blog for all views, so i overcame the initial response of deleting.
having said that i thought you should understand my job...while on assignment at the academy awards the job for me was to get the biggest stars who would stop, especially those who were nominated.
George Clooney is clearly one of our biggest movie stars and nominated as well...on the red carpet if your in the middle of doing an interview, the star's publicist will pass you by for the next because they are on such a tight deadline to get inside the theater.
i had just missed john travolta while interviewing patrick dempsey and his lovely wife which was fine as right now everyone seems crazy for "mc-dreamy".
but as i was just about to interview mr clooney i realized gary was standing there, and it was obvious something was off, plus the smell of alcohol was overwhelming.
if i had missed the opportunity to interview george because i interviewed gary, i dare say my bosses would not have been thrilled with me.
this morning i simply recounted what had happened...and if you are a devouted viewer of the morning show then you know the whole team often does offer their opinions as i did this morning.

onto the makeover...i must tell you i love mondays! i know i always get to spend time with jose who cracks me up, and more importantly we get the chance to walk into someone's life for just a brief moment and hopefully c

Oh heck Misses B. Go for it and hit that red button with the white X....it's so much fun! I mean if only we could delete the Tinselturds who are wrecking this entire industry that would be very sweet! I have a feeling that this industry needs just what Savage said, the 1939 act for Hollywood morals back. They chucked that in 1967, and the industry was great till the end of the 60's so that works for me. By the way not only do many celebs hate America, but many Americans hate them as well...Still, you are a true beacon in the industry. Please never quit being that beacon and hero for American viewers.

to the 1fanfoxlamorningnews.....If you think Lisa B is a SNOB....something is really wring with you....How may perscription drugs are you taking at 1 time?
