hey there,
you know how that fasten your seat belt light comes on during a flight...it indicates there could be some bumpy patches ahead...that's always pretty much how it feels before starting good day l.a.

dorothy is off, so i am filling in.

and if you're a viewer of the show you know it's unlike any thing else on t.v.

what we do from 5-7am is always live, and mistakes and wrong tapes can happen at any given time.

but on good day l.a. you never know what could go wrong, or right, and sometimes going wrong is going right, you know what i mean?

anyway, with only 5 hours of sleep under  my belt thanks to watching 2 hours of american idol (so i could be sure to give you the in-depth reporting your used to with dorothy)...and my little boy waking up at some un-godly hour (i tend not to look at the clock during the middle of the night, otherwise i start obsessing on how little sleep i am actually getting)...i am almost ready for "the big show".

i'll check back in after the show to see how bad the bumps and bruises are...and to offer any dish from our guests...we've got geraldo and danny bonaduce on!

oh,  and i think in my last blog i mentioned taking monday off, ben & elsie turned 3! hard to believe, it was really fun, there was lots of laughing and crying, and that was just me!!!!

Danny Bonaduce report was very fun Yeah Parents are scary they have the power! Very good question but this show "I know my kids a star" ahh I would not do this to my daughter ever she is grown up now working with dog & cat rescues. But Lisa that show is kinda scary yes? Well I guess thats Reality at its scariest. With children.

Good Morning Lisa,

I love the GDLA team. I think they work great together, however, I love when you fill in for any of them. I usually watch your Lisas LA seg. in the early hour and I love that too. You just gave me good ideas for and easter basket i'm putting together for my uncle. Gardening things, brilliant!

Happy birthday to your twins, You should post a recent pic of them, If your comfotable with that. I know we would all love to see your darlings.

P.S. I died when a couple mo.'s ago you told us the story of having to leave the resturant, with you hands full, 2 screaming kids, and your friend just happended to pull up to give you a hand.

yeah! made it through my 5 hour tour of duty as we often refer to the 5-10am block without any cuts or even minor scrapes!!!
sitting next to steve and jill is fun...really fun...and the commercial breaks can be even more so as they are completely uncensored then!, it's also a chance to catch up...i force steve to look at photos of my kids...i've already subjected jill to that in the hair room.
sorry nothing much jucier to report...that was my first interview with geraldo, what a facinating character he is...and then danny bonaduce! and the whole time i am sitting there i am trying to remember if there were naked pictures of him somewhere on the internet...i think there were.!
filling in tommorow not only for dorothy but tony before that...my girlfriends are all very excited because robert buckley the really cute actor from lipstick jungle is going to be on in the 8 am hour...we all have little crushes on him...plus we'll interview the person who got voted off american idol...i am thinking it might possibly be the cute kristy lee cook. we'll see.
have a great day!!!

Lisa you are a classy lady and a very smooth professional. Congrats on the little ones, time really does fly very fast and after a while you look back and wonder where the decades went. Yeah I really enjoyed that show, too bad on Steve double dipping, I just find that is the rudest thing a person can do, and it wrecks the food for everyone else, just very selfish, but I liked you reading him the riot act.

On Danny, I like him, he is a unique individual and I stuck through with him on the incident a month or two back with Johnny. Glad to see Danny get going. He comes off tough, hardened and brash, but underneath that all, I think he is a concise and honest nice guy from things I have heard, just too bad about his past dealings. Ironic he is doing a kids show.

Lisa, Lisa:

(Okay, I just had to say that...) I hope your twins had a wonderful birthday! I just thought on stopping by, and checking in. I hope you had a blast doing those interviews with Geraldo and Danny. You always do a great job...keep having fun now! I hope that Steve and Jillian appreciate the pictures of your twins; every picture is priceless! Also, I can imagine Mark Thompson being a "favorite uncle" to your twins; I remember you talking about how you and your husband met through Mark, and I enjoyed reading your response back to me.

Take care now, and I hope you get enough sleep.

hey all,
hope you have a great easter weekend...any fun plans?
sunday we're doing the easter egg hunt and family dinner at our house...it should be fun!
and odd, i think back to last easter and one of my first attempts at blogging...i just re-read it! i guess that's what both good and bad about blogging...this online diary of sort and as you look back you're able to see what state of mind or where you were in your life...interesting.
how has the past year changed for you?

happy happy!

i realized i should have added to the above post, what the blog was from last easter, here it is:

This weekend we marked one of the saddest days for my husbands family...the one year anniversary of the passing of my mother-in-law.

She passed away so suddenly it took us all by shock...she was at one point, the life of every party, the organzier, the person who got things done, and the first to throw a pie in your face...by the time i met her some type of degenerative disease had slowed her walk and sometimes her thought process...so the only comfort (if there can be such a thing) is knowing she's in heaven now once again throwing pies!

This weekend I so desperately wished she could have been here (as i often do) to see our 2 year old twins color easter eggs for the first time, then we of course had to teach them about the whole easter egg hunt. It was touching to see my husband, brother in law, and father in law out there chasing them around showing them how to do it...so precious!

And that brings me to the importance of family and extended family. I think it's critical for kids to be surrounded by family of all ages, and eat as many meals together as possible, for little ones that's such a rich ground for learning.

Because of our crazy schedule we rarely eat together as a family, I eat with the babies and we go to bed at the same time because of my early morning call here at the station. But come sunday we all eat together as a big family, with my inlaws...this is the time when you can talk with your children, create your rituals and hopefully create bo

Lisa~ the loss of your mother-in-law is like being left with a emptiness in your family's circle, but just because she doesn't have a body, she is still around you.

You are a very deep person and you can tell you are so grateful for your life and you seem happy. Thanks for sharing your personal thoughts. There are many people that can relate.

Misses B., sorry to hear this. Any loss is hard especially if it is a parent and even worse if it is a parent losing a child. Yes the family is extremely important and should be enjoyed as much as possible for soon they grow up and the years fade and you realize just how important those memories and all the relatives and friends were, especially when many of them are not here anymore. Have a great weekend and best to you and the gang.

P.S., your story has a poetic monodic roll to it.
