A letter to The Prez about his visit today and traffic..

Dear George Bush,

I'm a resident of L.A.

There are a couple of things you should know about life in Southern Calif.

The first is that the traffic here is horrible a lot of the time. The second is that the traffic here sucks. We as residents understand this and suffer through it for the really cool other stuff there is here.

It's sorta like how you must have to suffer through Washington press conferences where there are pointed questions being shot at you Mr. President. But then you get to hang out and have a bunch of people then do stuff for you, tell you how great you are and put you on a private chopper to a special plane with a bunch of other yes men who tell you about a bunch of other great stuff that maybe the first guys who were sucking up to you forgot to mention. Y'know presidential stuff... Then you arrive in places like L.A. to raise money for your party.

Dude, I'm not about the politics of this. I'm about the traffic situation.

I don't care if you wanna raise dough...In fact, how much do we have to pay to have you avoid coming here during rush hour? That's money you've just raised right there by not messing with my commute.

I mean there are a lot of times you can arrive. 4pm???? 4pm??? What, are you kidding me??? Who decided on that? Lemme guess..someone who's been riding in motorcades too long.

Please don't make the evening nightmare commute become even more nightmarish than it is.

Mr. President sir, this isn't personal, but some sweet Indian lady flipped me the bird today in bumper to bumper traffic...that's the reality here on the ground.

I agree with you mark.

The traffic is making everyone crazy. Just like the Jihad in the Middle East, people are stressed out and affected by stress, which is, in part, a contributing factor of the Bush in denial, dysfunction.

This president is an infliction, which is injecting a synthetic infection into the main vein of America.

How can a christian president, with all his resources, not know when a pedophile is in the midst?

Like Rep. Mark Foley of Florida and George Bush's brother Jebb.

Those birds of a feather flock together. You are known by the company you keep Mr. Bush, and that goes for you brother too.

The reason I am so pissed, is because the same dysfunction of denial exists in public for all to see in the City of Lancaster.

That sky is falling, the principal is horney for heiny, and chicken little has his head in the ground, which is good for the pedophile.

The Antelope Valley is the child molestation capitol of the world.

And the foot he has in his mouth? That's my size 11 boot, not a silver spoon, and I like that toon.

Bush needs impeachment,so the American people can get along with their lives, and progress like people,not regress like stoic and dogmatic arogant humans, which is the problem not the solution.

Dear Mark , last night on your report , you said we had cirrus .
Now , do you mean "natural cirrus" , or that of the man made stuff emitted by the jet planes ?
There was so much air traffic and "contrails" yesterday in Ventura County , I thought it was strange!
People think they're just clouds , and when you tell them that is from a plane , they look at you like you're crazy.
I see it , I saw it , I watched them do it.
What gives ?

skylooker....it is mostly naturally occurring cirrus..but what you are talking about is occurring as well. Those contrails are the result of discharge from aircraft condensing and in a sense crystalizing to form the cloud trail you see. Contrail stands for condensation trail :) It's not pollution per se, it's just moisture condensation.

beepbeep: I agree with you on the issue of pedaphiles in the White House. Why do you think the sentencing for these disgusting perpetrators are so light? They are released back into society only to commit the same type of vile crime again. The lawmakers passing the sentencing guidelines, yes the yours truly "Foley's" of the White House, are in fact the lawmakers passing laws and bills, etc. Remember, one of Foley's instant messages to his "victim" was he had to 'go and vote'! He held Congress up because he'd been instant messaging all morning. And add the "cover up" to the equation and you have a House of vile human beings, elected into office who allowed and covered up such behavior. UNBELIEVABLE!!!!

Two things... First Skylooka: Climate change is an indisputable fact that is of imperative importance. Still, it is being ignored by the current administration in Washington, just as is their fancy to ignore a lot of other grim realities about the world and the war, etc.
Jillian is the coolest to work with..what you see is what she is fun, smart, funny and out there!

Secondly, lizah: You are so right about these pedophiles....In general I cannot imagine how they can be "cured" or "fixed". The Mark Foley thing is disgusting. This man was in charge of a committee on missing and abused children while he's chatting up kids on the internet for sex. It is unbelievable. By the same token, not all those guys up there are corrupt..a lot of them, but not all of them. A free press is the best guard we've got against 'em and even that is being sucked up by fewer and fewer owners who speak with one voice and are cutting budgets. So they end up not doing the real important journalism to root out the Mark Foleys and just corrupt politicians that populate the system.

Great letter! You should have seen the traffic on Sunset Blvd between Beverly Hills and Brentwood when he came to visit his friend for a fundraiser a couple of months ago. It was ridiculous. He should stay in D.C. or go to his ranch in Texas and have the people come to him.
