Just an observation ?  Republican's have an abreviation for a party member who once elected tosses the party platform , goals, and values aside. The RINO is who I am talking about, a politician who most likely would have defeated at the polls had his true intentions and true party affillation been known. Seems that some Republicans can see and note the flaws of a canidate that they helped elect. That in itself would suggest that many Republican's are not blind.

What abreviation do Democrat's use to describe a Republican, who under the guise of a Democrat, has won a seat , office or bench ? What abreviation do Democrats use to describe a Democrat who tosses their platform, goals, and values aside ? Or do Democrats all believe that their representatives are perfect in each and every way ?

Just some questions. Hey I wanna know !  Any comments anybody ?

Its a good question, but Democrats will NEVER need one. Democrats place party above all, and therefore haven't the occassion to need a special name. Only person I can think of for a reference would be the Colorado leader and native indian Nighthorse Camble who jumped the party after his election. Last one to do it in the opposite direction was Jumpin Jim Jeffords, and it snatched the majority away from the Republicans. Its is said that before Jeffords did that, McCain was being approached to jump party lines, but it was taken off the table when Jeffords gave them what they needed..

As stated Abunai, I'm a Republican, but when they vote to steal from SS, do not honor there pledge to uphold the law of this land, or make remarks that show no consideration for the common man. It pisses me off ! But to date, by the talk and print that I read, you'd think only and every Democrat in office is a God-send. I beg to differ with that belief.

Well, you can't take anyone from any side at face value. I myself am a conservative FIRST, Republican second. I am the first to call out folks like Ted Stevens of Alaska who is the Republican king of earmarks. Collin Powel I hated since my days with Seal Team 5 sitting in the sand in the middle east waiting for his affirmative action self to grow a pair and let us fight!
The GOP let Clinton put diversity quotas into the military, and now (with respect to all) we have the kinder/gentler folks not able to operate as they should, and Special Forces is being run into the ground because we didn't have to work with those stupid guidelines!

I say let the Democrats have the whole lot this time, and when they continue to not deliver as they have demonstrated this last 2 years, they can't point to anyone but themselves.

Good comments Abunai. This is slightly off topic, but have you ever read : Blind Man's Bluff, The Untold Story of American Submarine Espionage by Sherry Sontag and Christopher Drew ? I thought it an intresting read.

THIS is a problem that MANY have,, making an assumption that all things Republican are Conservative in nature and vice versa..

I am a Conservative,,I SUPPORT Conservative Views,, Values and Solutions and likely WILL for the rest of MY life..The SAME thing cannot ALWAYS be said of the Republican Party who I,, like MANY Conservatives today,, feel has ABANDONED their Conservative Roots in favor of the EASILLY obtainable Brass Ring of the left..

And in SO doing,,Became a SECOND STRING DEMOCRAT PARTY..

If you think things are bad now, just wait and see what happens if Obama gets in.

The USA will be destroyed before his first term is over.

As for terms they could use for the Dems, how about AINO.

Obama is a blowhard that right now is learning more about himself and this nation in the last few months than he had his entire life!

His view on Defense is changing daily. Currently calling for operations in Iraq to end by 2013 vice his initial word of within the first year, or the have cake and eat it too position of pull troops out and then if it gets bad again, to put them back.( Murtha must have gave him that one..)

I'm not worried about Obama, right now he is literally shell shocked, and uneasy as he doesnt know where the next "fire" on him will spring up! Today it was a Whtie Catholic Priest at his old Church! Now its not just Rev. Wright but Trinity Church itself now! He thought he burried it with Wright's retirement, but nope!

Have to agree with you there Abunai, the guys scary. The only thing scarier is how many people see him as the ANSWER. I guess if you hear no evil, see no evil, and speak no evil he's the perfect canidate. The anti- military crowd seems to have forgotten that he was the one talking about going into Pakistan with our armed forces. The lawyers were stirring crap up their and being a lawyer himself, that probably explains his answer.
