Well I must say that it is really good to see that priest have found interest in something other then pre teen boys. I read the article on the website and could not help but laugh. I am just wondering what is going to happen when a bible pusher trying to protest outside a strip club is going to do when they try to force the word onto the wrong person and get seriously injured. I know with most of Americans being Christian and Catholic in some form or another are more then likely going to want the bad guy to get the full punishment and cheer the bible boy for his efforts. Where are we suppose to draw the line? I mean, are the priest not getting paid enough to try to spread the word at church, or is attendance so far down that they have to go out and just push it on people. I personally do not have a religion, but here is some advise to people who want to fullfill there religious oath or whatever you want to call. Spread the word once. If you catch a persons interest, keep going, if not, back off. Its like raising children. If you know your kid wants to do something and you keep telling them no, and they do everything they can to pursuade you to change your mind to say no, chances are they are going to want to do it even more. Plus, if a person wants to go to a strip club, I dont think a priest standing outside with his megaphone is going to change there mind. I mean why does a person go to a strip club? To have fun, see nude women, to be in a diffrent type of enviorment then what they are usually in. When they see an old man outside calling them a sinner and a pervert, chances are they are not going to change there mind about going inside, and they arent going to convert to christ right on the spot. I mean I think that maybe Mr. Redner should go to the church that this priest should be at on sundays and start passing out VIP cards as people walk out and go on his megaphone and start annoucing his dance specials. Come on people, if you want to waste your time and money at a strip club then so be it. If you want to waste your time and money at church so be it. Or look at it this way, some people think that a strip club is offensive. I find someone pushing their beliefs on me is offensive. Thats just my view anyway.

Leave it to liberals to jump on any chance they have to kick evangelicals. A few Catholic priests are accused of molesting people and all of a sudden we're all horrible. Yet Muslims are tolerant. Lastly, as to your accusation that priests are calling people bigots, if anyone's calling anyone a bigot. It's liberals like you.

I wasnt saying anything about Muslims because i feel if they want to waste there time being muslim like you want to waste your time with whatever religion you are then people who go to those clubs should be able to waste their time at the strip club. The whole point of the blog was basically to say that you should not stand in front of a strip club with a megaphone and try to force your religion onto people. That is what the church is for. That is conversation that you bring up with your neighbors. Plus I have met serveral muslim people that have never tried to push thier religion on me. They asked me about it, I said not interested and they stopped asking me. Plus i think it has been a more then a few Catholic priests. We just know about a few.

"Try to force your religion onto people". But its ok to force secularism, humanism, and any other "ism" on the religious? Why is it ok to force non-religious ideas and policies on the religious, but when the religious want to "force" something morally right or positive into the community, all HELL breaks loose? The tired old phrase "separation of church and state" is always introduced. Research that phrase and get back to me later.
I will admit that allot of Muslims I also know, don't talk about their religion. Its the ones who bomb, kill, and maim in order to further their ultimate agenda. A one religion world ISLAM. If you don't think so, just look into the reasons for the terrorist activities main objectives(long term) since the 60s. Mikey, just so you know. Do I think the priests or preachers should be standing in front of Mons? No, I believe they would be better served doing something more fruitful. I just don't like the tired old general baseless religion bashing. Keep posting Mikey, I enjoy them. I'm not forcing my religion or anything on you but God Bless You. :-) Happy Thankgiving

I couldn't care less what religion anyone is. I have no idea of the religious beliefs of most of my friends and don't want to know. I judge folks by the content of their character (where did I hear that before) and nothing else.

There are bad priests, chefs, newscasters, etc. Each individual must decide what is "moral and right" for themselves and leave others alone as long as they obey our laws. Too many people know their way is the only way.

Vittorio, I think you have hit the nail on the head. People are going to do what they want. Standing in front of a strip club with a megaphone isnt going to stop them from going in. Thats really all the blog was about. It may seem that I pushed more towards the religion thing here, but all I was really trying to say was, people are going to do what they want. Waste your time however you want to waste your time, but you don't have to interupt other peoples fun. I have fun without going to the clubs. I don't really think people should do it, but if a friend tells me he is going, then I will let him go.

Mikey,
As I was reading your Blog, here, one thing jumped right into my face, and I thought, "Maybe he ain't skeered 'cause he ain't got no book learnin."
. . .and, "Maybe he likes strip clubs 'cause when you look on a woman as an object of fantasy, she is much easier to deal with than when she is seen as a person with much more value than her naked body.

But, to tell you the biggest truth, MIKEY IS SKEERED that God might be real; and religious folks, even if most of them are pretending, are a lot closer to Heaven than he is.

Well Mikey,
I wrote my comments before I saw your answer to Vittorio, but I'll stand by the first (your spelling and grammer are obviously modern public school quality), and I'll stand by the last. You SAY you think going to church is a waste of time. When are you going to figure out that a lot of people do not-Christian stuff because they are simply not really Christian?

As far as the second point, I'll leave it for your consideration as to what you might say to someone you really consider to be your friend when he says he is going to a strip club.

A REAL FRIEND DOESN'T TELL SOMEONE HE'S DOING OKAY WHEN YOU KNOW HE'S DOING WRONG.

Yes, my education in spelling and grammer are lacking. If my life depending on spelling and typing proper grammer, then I would not last long. I do not know when I will figure out all the church stuff, who goes, who does not, really do not care. Plus, I stated that I did not think people should go to strip clubs, but I never said it was wrong. Its like smoking, I do not see the point to it, does not make it wrong. If that is what you want to do, then so be it.
