American Idol Again?

It really does need to stop.  First off the name needs to change.  None of the winner of any american idol has actually become an idol to me.  If it must continue at least stop calling it reality tv.  I mean in realitly you dont go to a contest and become famous.  I think if we want a true american idol they should do an eminem special about how he became so famous.  Please stop American Idol.  Shut it down.  Stop it.

Why? It's profitable, and the producers corner the market for number one pop stars. They would be nuts to shut this money machine down.

Carrie Underwood is a wonderful success and it was entertaining watching her grow on live TV from unknown nice girl, to big star. I'm looking forward to the next one.

Finally, we enjoy interesting, real characters who entertain us and Simon Cowell fits the bill. I've never seen anyone argue so well with a country of people like he does and with so little animosity. It's fascinating.

But when are they going to find someone who can really sing???
I'm sick and tired of hearing about it and wish it would just go away or at least stop broadcasting about it on the news. Who cares? It's a waste of time when there is other more important news to broadcast.
Several years ago, my cousins had a country band. They made it to the Nashville Country Music competition several years running and made it all the way to the end. Every year they came in 2nd place.
The last year they competed and came in 2nd, the entire audience walked out, totally disgusted. The reason they lost every time, the competition was fixed and the winner already signed to a contract. My cousins' band never competed again.

American Idol? I like Taylor Hicks. Where are his records being played? local radio? internet? satellite? Please tell me.

Adevera19 I dont like it and I dont watch it. I just hate the fact that since i dont like it and i dont watch it that i have to hear about it everytime i turn on the news. Its the news. It should only be important matters. So as far as the advise to shut my mouth. I have more advise for what you could do with yours.
