It has been known that happen a few times in the past that I am under informed or misinformed, but wasnt it just a few months ago that Tampa police said crime was down, just to be reported later that some of the paper work had be fudged a little?  Are we suppose to believe now that crime is really down this time?  It would seem to me that crime has just moved a little.  I mean I live in Gibsonton, where just a few years ago I never heard of any criminal activity, to kids getting shot at the bus stop and people being stabbed.  Are the police really eliminating the problem of just moving it somewhere else.  Some one please help me if i am wrong about this whole thing.

From what I can see crime is up and it's getting more violent. I can't put the blame on the police but there are a lot of people and agency's that should be held accountable. Lets start with the parents how about holding your family together and making sure your kid is not running around at 2:00AM. Lets stop the circle of 14 years old kids having baby's and creating a culture of poverty. Why don't the judges enforce the laws on the books and quit handing out probation like candy.
Why does'nt the federal government do there job to seal the borders to keep the Latin Gangs out of this country. How about our public school system that would rather put a kid on drugs then spend some time helping him improve or that at the first sign of trouble with a kid they would much rather just kick the child out of school instead of putting a little effort in to saving the child.
It all starts at home and with break down of the American Family it will only get worse.

Grab a clipboard and a #2 pencil and take a poll in cracktown. I'm sure they will give you accurate numbers.

There has been one break-in on my street in 25 years.

Did you write that down? *wink*

I agree with you, neckcar, taking car of children starts at home. It's the parents responsibility to make sure a child knows how to behave in public and, if the child is in trouble, the parents should be made accountable. Most parents these days seem to be in denial and don't want to face the fact that their family lives and children are their failures.

Why would I want to call Pam Iorio? Why would I have to call anyone?
