I am just curious if the Diocese of Venice asked his church how they felt about kicking out the elderly from the home that the church bought before finalizing the plan.  I understand that there are alot of facilities out there for the elderly and not so much out there for single mothers, but what is he true plan for that.  Just way to much negative out there for me to believe that he just wants to help the mothers out.   Something tells me that further down the road there will be another news headline about how many little boys are being molested in this home that the elderly where kicked out of my the Diocese of Venice.  I hope that people watch this very carefully.  He has it set up perfectly for himself.  The mothers will trust him since he has helped them with a place to live.  He will have the means of being in contact with the kids.  Now I cant say that this is his motivation for sure, but I think everyone should keep an eye out for it just in case.  Rather be safe then sorry.  Or maybe the Diocese of Venice could speak with fox 13 and state why he doesnt want to help the elderly find a new place, and why he wants them out so fast.  My last point would be, what makes single mothers, more important the the elderly?  Seems like a judgement that shouldnt be made.  At least by a so called man of faith.  What do you think?

It has been known that happen a few times in the past that I am under informed or misinformed, but wasnt it just a few months ago that Tampa police said crime was down, just to be reported later that some of the paper work had be fudged a little?  Are we suppose to believe now that crime is really down this time?  It would seem to me that crime has just moved a little.  I mean I live in Gibsonton, where just a few years ago I never heard of any criminal activity, to kids getting shot at the bus stop and people being stabbed.  Are the police really eliminating the problem of just moving it somewhere else.  Some one please help me if i am wrong about this whole thing.

WOW!!!!  If everyone has caught the fiery object newscasts please lets hear some ideas of what that was.   We all know it couldnt just be something normal.  It actually made the news.  Did nothing important happen that day?

I havent gotten to watch the news alot lately.  The price of gas, and taxes, and insurance, etc...  I have had to work alot more hours and have missed a lot.  So I got online to check out some local news and I see a story about a 7 year old girl hit by a car at 930PM.  No charges have been filed.  Well if they decide to file some i would say lets start with the parents.  That might be a little cruel and unsual so maybe they dont need charges filed against them.  Maybe the dead child is enough.  Someone please tell me though,  why would a child of the age of 7 be playing in the street at 930pm?  ANYONE???  I remember having to be inside when the street lights came on.  Does that not apply anymore.  What is going on?

Ok, before anyone gets to far into this let me say that this is a fictional story based on actual events.  The part about fox 13 is true but the rest didnt happen, but it could.....

Here goes....

My wife comes home from work around 5:45pm.  She turns on the TV which is preset to Fox 13.  She puts all her stuff down like her purse and car keys etc. Takes off her shoes and sits on the couch just in time to see the 6pm Fox 13 news report.  First on Fox is Nick Hogan is in the hospital after crashing his car.  There is a knock on the door.  She looks out the window and sees a man holding a package.  She unlocks the door and just begins to open it and the door is kicked in.  The man throws her to the floor and tears off her skirt and begins to sexually assualt her.  He pulls a knife and places it on her throat and tells her is she screams, shes dead.  She turns her head and looks back towards the TV trying to block out what is happening to her.  10 minutes into the news cast the reporter is still talking about Nick Hogan.  Then the second story comes on and its a warning about a serial rapist matching the mans discription.  She cant help but ask herself how Nick Hogans car crash was more important then a warning about a serial rapist on the loose.  The man looks at the TV and smiles and tells my wife good thing someone famous got hurt or you wouldnt have opened the door.

End of Fictional (not real) story.

Now does anyone see a problem with any of this.  I would rather know about the serial rapist, the transformer blowing up in lakeland, and the weather way before a street racing accident.  I mean if I got into an accident the only way it would make the news is if i stopped traffic somewhere.  I know this becuase i have been in a few accidents and no reporter ever asked me a question.  No one from Fox 13 came to the hospital.  No one cared.  I feel the same way about this one.  I mean all day about a car accident.  The kid isnt even that famous, yet all this wasted time that could be spent on news. 

Does anyone think the same thing or is it just me?

Well, I came home from work today and turned on the TV.  Almost time for the 5 oclock news.  I go check my mail and bring in the garbage cans.  Just in time I sit down and the news comes on.  To my disappointment what do I see on First on Fox but another bit about Michael Vick.  Not caring at all, knowing that hes definatly going to come away from this much better then I would, I decide to start dinner for my wife and my son.  Then a few minutes into the show comes the story about the NBA scandal.  No real news yet.  Then a news alert, finally some news about a dog attacking a boy.  Well that is something on the important side, hurray fox.  Then a story about Lindsey Lohan.   I acutally stopped watching the news because it became very apparent that nothing important must have happened today because all this crap was first on fox.  Someone tell me how Michael Vicks dogfighting, that we have been informed about everyday for that past 3 weeks, and Lindsey Lohan have anything to do with local importance?  Hopefully someone from Fox 13 will read this blog, but I very much doubt it.  Please come up with something important before bringing on all the crap.  If you can not find anything, brighthouse offers bay news 9.  They play the news all day long.  They arent that great but you could at least pull some imporant things from them before telling me yet again about Michael Vick.  It was very disappointing.  If someone from Fox 13 actually reads this please send a response.  I think all the viewers and I deserve an apology. 

At about 600 pm I was watching the evening news and the story about the earthquakes popped on.  At the end the anchor said well at least we can see a huricane coming.  The weather guy said yeah there are no surprises with huricanes.  That made me think.  Huricane Charlie was suppose to hit Tampa.  It was perdicted to hit Tampa.  It was tracking towards Tampa.  It surprisingly turned south.  I bet there were alot of SURPRISED people down south that might disagree with the statement.  We may be able to see a huricane coming but its just as unpredictable as an earthquake.  I dont care what weather guy thinks he knows, but he doesnt know.  I really cant  remember a huricane that went the way any weather guy said it would.  I am still looking for this most active season we are suppose to be having.  So if anyone wants to save some time on the weather  read this blog and i will update you on everything.  Here goes.......   It might rain.   When a huricane forms....everyone needs to get ready because we have no idea where it is going to go.  Oh and i am not getting paid for this report.

If the people in Polk County are really wondering how it could happen twice, a train kills a woman on the tracks and then kills 4 people in a car, there is a serious problem.  I would like anyone who has the time to look at some train tracks sometime.  Then follow those tracks (at a safe distance of course) until you find a train.  Then, if the train is stopped, walk up to it and try to pick it up.  Try to push it.  Imagine it moving at about 10 mph and trying to stop it.  I do not know what the news is doing trying to make it seem like the train should not have been there or something, or should have stopped, but thats a few dozen tons of metal.  Trains do not stop that easy.  So if your still trying to wonder how it could happen twice and want to know what you can do to keep it from happening to you, then I have a few answers.  Number 1, how could it happen twice?  Well there were to sets of stupid people who battled a train and surpise surprise the train won.  Number 2, how can I keep this from happening to me?  Stay off the train tracks and when the gates come down and the lights start flashing, wait for the gates to go back up and the lights to stop flashing.  DUH!  Here are a few more questions that I have.  Did the train jump off the tracks and hit the people?  Did it pick up speed and purposely try hit someone?  Did the operator of the train perdict the future and know that someone was going to try to beat the train and switch tracks and change the travel times just to make sure they were there to hit them when they crossed.  For crying out load.  ITS A TRAIN!

I was thinking about all the property tax problems and how cuts would hurt so many diffrent areas of the local government.    Some of the solutions that have been put into action seem so useless.  We have to cut our budget so lets lay off a few dozen people.  That was the mayors idea.  So what does that say about her.  Here is a suggestion and they can take this one all the way up to the president.  Here is an idea on a way to save millions without laying anyone off or deleting projects or closing recreation centers down early.  Why dont you just cut your own pay.  Pam is making enough that if you cut it in half she will still be making about 3 times what I am.  Governer Christ.  You can cut his salary but 3/4 and he can still live easy.  President Bush,  he makes so much money from the oil companies and all the illegal stuff that he has going on the he doesnt even need the presidental salary.  Its july and you could stop all his income right now and he will make about 50 times what I will in 5 years put together.  I think its a good alternative to what they are doing. 

Obituary of the late Mr Common Sense

Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend, Common Sense, who has been with us for many years. No one knows for sure how old he was, since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape. He will be remembered as having cultivated such valuable lessons as:
Knowing when to come in out of the rain;
Why the early bird gets the worm;
Life isn't always fair;
and Maybe it was my fault.

Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies (don't spend more than you can earn) and reliable strategies (adults, not children, are in charge).

His health began to deteriorate rapidly when well-intentioned but overbearing regulations were set in place. Reports of a 6 -year- old boy charged with sexual harassment for kissing a classmate; teens suspended from school for using mouthwash after lunch; and a teacher fired for reprimanding an unruly student, only worsened his condition.

Common Sense lost ground when parents attacked teachers for doing the job that they themselves had failed to do in disciplining their unruly children. It declined even further when schools were required to get parental consent to administer Tylenol, sun lotion or a band-aid to a student; but could not inform parents when a student became pregnant and wanted to have an abortion.

Common Sense lost the will to live as the Ten Commandments became contraband; churches became businesses; and criminals received better treatment than their victims.

Common Sense took a beating when you couldn't defend yourself from a burglar in your own home and the burglar could sue you for assault.

Common Sense finally gave up the will to live, after a woman failed to realize that a steaming cup of coffee was hot. She spilled a little in her lap, and was promptly awarded a huge settlement. Common Sense was preceded in death by his parents, Truth and Trust; his wife, Discretion; his daughter, Responsibility; and his son, Reason.

He is survived by his 3 stepbrothers; I Know My Rights, Someone Else Is To Blame, and I'm A Victim.

Not many attended his funeral because so few realized he was gone.

I was watching the news this morning and I saw a report about all the men who got arrested in the internet ring.  In the report they said it is surprising, some of the men who showed up.  One guy was attending christian College.  No surprise there.  One guy had some sort of degree in child care or something like that.  No suprise there either.  Last, one guy worked for disney.  Those where the main three that were pointed out and I could not help but ask myself,  where is the surprise.  Maybe someone can help me by pointing out what I missed.

I think that this Blog might offend some people. Everyone who has watched the news lately has seen that the gaurds at the military style boot camp have been arrested for manslaughter. The news seems to think that this event should have never happened and that the kid in question in the first place did not do anything wrong. Um, Hello....wasn't he there for a reason. Maybe he did have a problem running the course or whatever, but tell me how the gaurds are suppose to know that. That would be a medical problem that the gaurds are not aloud to ask about. Not only that, but the boot camp was an alternative to prison. The boy and his family would have had to choose the boot camp instead. That would greatly shorten the amount of time that he would have spent behind bars. So do I think the gaurds over did it? Absolutly. They went overboard with the use of force, but the media is making it sound like the guards should not have used force in the first place. Do people actually think that inmates do not fake some sort of illness? I mean has anyone asked the guards how many times someone has tried to act like they can not continue simply because they did not want to continue. Does anyone even know the purpose of the boot camp style of jail in the first place? Even without all of that, this event, the whole episode could have been prevent long before he was even sent there. That is where I think the parents should take some of the responsibility for thier child. Why did thier child end up in the boot camp in the first place. I know that kids do not just volunteer now a days to go to jail and try the boot camp system out. He had to have done something wrong to get there. In closing, yes the gaurds did wrong and they are going to be punished for it. It could have been prevented in many diffrent ways. Now the boot camp method of rehibilitation is over in Florida. If you have the time and want to look up that stats, look how many people went through the boot camp and then came back to jail compared to the everyday offender that chooses to go to jail, get out, just to come back. I think that it is a shame to have gotten rid of the program. Better training would have been a better idea.

Well I must say that it is really good to see that priest have found interest in something other then pre teen boys. I read the article on the website and could not help but laugh. I am just wondering what is going to happen when a bible pusher trying to protest outside a strip club is going to do when they try to force the word onto the wrong person and get seriously injured. I know with most of Americans being Christian and Catholic in some form or another are more then likely going to want the bad guy to get the full punishment and cheer the bible boy for his efforts. Where are we suppose to draw the line? I mean, are the priest not getting paid enough to try to spread the word at church, or is attendance so far down that they have to go out and just push it on people. I personally do not have a religion, but here is some advise to people who want to fullfill there religious oath or whatever you want to call. Spread the word once. If you catch a persons interest, keep going, if not, back off. Its like raising children. If you know your kid wants to do something and you keep telling them no, and they do everything they can to pursuade you to change your mind to say no, chances are they are going to want to do it even more. Plus, if a person wants to go to a strip club, I dont think a priest standing outside with his megaphone is going to change there mind. I mean why does a person go to a strip club? To have fun, see nude women, to be in a diffrent type of enviorment then what they are usually in. When they see an old man outside calling them a sinner and a pervert, chances are they are not going to change there mind about going inside, and they arent going to convert to christ right on the spot. I mean I think that maybe Mr. Redner should go to the church that this priest should be at on sundays and start passing out VIP cards as people walk out and go on his megaphone and start annoucing his dance specials. Come on people, if you want to waste your time and money at a strip club then so be it. If you want to waste your time and money at church so be it. Or look at it this way, some people think that a strip club is offensive. I find someone pushing their beliefs on me is offensive. Thats just my view anyway.

I HATE TO SAY THIS BUT, WHY WOULD THE COUNTY WANT TO REGULATE THE ADULT BUSINESS INDUSTRY MORE THEN THEY ALREADY DO. I MEAN THERE ARE ALREADY SO MANY RULES THAT GET BROKEN EVERYDAY, ALL IT SEEMS THEY ARE TRYING TO DO IS REALLY LET PEOPLE KNOW WHAT THEY THINK ABOUT IT. HONESTLY PEOPLE, IF YOU DONT LIKE WHATS GOING ON IN THE BUSINESS, THERE IS A SIMPLE SOLUTION. DONT GO. YOU KNOW IF YOU WANT THEM TO GO AWAY AND STOP THE ILLEGAL ACTIVITY FROM GOING ON, STOP GIVING THEM A REASON TO STAY. IT IS ODVIOUS THAT SOMEBODY LIKES GOING TO THESE PLACES BECAUSE THEY MAKE A STUPID AMOUNT OF MONEY. OUR JAILS AND PRISONS ARE OVER POPULATED BUT NOW THAT SOME CITY AND COUNTY OFFICIALS ARE TRYING TO GET SOME VOTES SO THEY CAN CHEAT US OUT OF MONEY, THEY ARE USING THE ADULT BUSINESS TO GET A VOTE MAKING MORE REASONS TO PUT PEOPLE IN JAIL. OR THEY HAVE SOMETHING AGAINST AN OWNER OF THE CLUBS, SO LETS CAUSE THEM PROBLEMS. I DONT THINK ITS WORKING. WITH ALL THE LAWS AND RESTRICTIONS IN THE CLUBS AND OTHER ADULT BUSINESSES, ITS ODVIOUS THAT ADDING MORE ONLY MEANS MORE PEOPLE WILL BE BREAKING THE LAW BECUASE THERE IS NO WAY TO STOP WHATS GOING ON INSIDE EXCEPT TO HAVE PEOPLE STOP GOING. NO CUSTOMERS - NO MONEY. NO MONEY - NO BUSINESS. HOW MANY PEOPLE THINK THAT IS GONNA HAPPEN? I WOULD LIKE TO SEE SOME OTHER PEOPLE THOUGHTS ON THE SUBJECT.
