On the anniversary of one of the most horrifying days in American history, we need to give credit where credit is due. Regardless of your feelings about Pres. Bush, this man has kept us free from further attacks for 7 years. You may not like his tactics, you may not like him, but you and your family are safe thanks to all he has done.

Here is a list of the KNOWN attempts that were foiled: The following is a list of known terror plots thwarted by the U.S. government since Sept. 11, 2001.

Personal Note:  Since this site has been taken over by hate-filled communists and other far-left haters of America, I am seldom on anymore.  However, on this day, I WILL post this information.  Do not bother to respond with your vile venom because I will not see it.

Well, good day to you too, Nancy. Commies?? Their might be one. If you took a poll, I would bet there are more Republican than Democrats blogging at F4. Aren't Democrats entitled to their opinion too?

Come on Nancy, be honest with us. You stop coming around because Drano is no longer around.. LOL

And all the while if just one attack were to succeed: the whole Dem media Party and everyonje on the left would be screaming "HE HAS NOT MADE US SAFER!"
Oh wait; they do that anyways..
Thank you President Bush. History will show you were correct in what you have done to protect America from further attacks and taking the fight to the Islamic enemy on thier soil.

MissNancy -

Thanks for a great post. I have been trying to formulate a post this whole day but just can't seem to come up with one for just the reasons you mention.

I am tired of all of these people who still refuse to believe that war is not a matter of semantics (it is literally kill or be killed). Been there - done that Vietnam 3/69 - 3/70. I am tired of hearing from the people who refuse to accept Bush's accomplishments when it comes to keeping us safe. I am tired of the people who have the utter gall to suggest that Bush and Cheney were somehow complicit in the 9/11 attacks and I'm tired of the low lifes that think that Bush took the war to the enemy for his personal enrichment. I'm tired of the crybabies who complain that their telephone calls might be listened to when it is our safety which is the objective.

People have no idea of what we are up against - they think that war is still patta-cake in grade school.

God bless our commander in chief and the next commander in chief and give him the foresight and the wisdom to keep this war away from our shores and God bless the men and women who are putting their lives on the line for us each and every day!

God bless the victims of 9/11 and the families who lost loved ones and God bless those who worked so tirelessly in their rescue efforts on that infamous day!

To anyone who might want to accuse me of using a line from the movie Mash "God bless our commander in chief" and who might be tempted to poke fun at that line - FOAD! If you don't know what FOAD is you can email me (my email is on my bio) and I will be more than happy to tell you.

The question is not if another attack will occur, but when and on what scale? Aside from the security programs that have been put in place, what has protected us most is the desire on the part of the terrorist to go for another grandiose attack on par with or greater than 9/11. The attack on 9/11 from its inception to its execution took years of planning and preparation. I believe that there will be another attack either shortly before the presidential election, or shortly after while the new administration is in its early stages of transition. The intent will be to either influencing the outcome of the election or test the new administration. The scale of the attack is the great unknown. There has been some intelligence indicating that future attacks may be on a much smaller scale and more numerous and wide spread. Targets could be schools, buses, churches, shopping malls, etc. The idea is to instill fear and make us feel vulnerable. We as individuals and our leaders must prepare for this eventuality. In many ways 9/11 was a failure for the terrorist because it pulled us together (at least temporarily).

I don't know that I would credit Bush with no more attacks, but I would rather credit the individuals that are doing their jobs trying to weed out the terrorists, the ones that are in the trenches, the ones at the airports going through baggage and luggage, the ones actually doing the work. Theirs is a thankless job, and there are many that get ticked off at them because they are just doing their job trying to keep everyone safe.

Facts are facts people. No more attacks in 7 years, and Bush is President. Let's give credit were credit is due.
But, that by no means we have to "like" Bush. It is not to say that if Bush had stayed focused on bin Laden and Afghanistan he wouldn't be receiving even more credit. After 9-11 Bush and the U.S.A. had the support of the entire world. The Arab world sat quietly in fear of what America and the World would do. We gave them a get-out-of-jail-free card when we went into Iraq before securing bin Laden. Now we're alone, with no bin Laden. Bush's successes and failure need to be recognized.

Bush deserves some credit here, but also all the thousands of homeland security, the military, FBI, too many to mention. And some of our allies deserve some thanks.

WOW!! lots of grape kool-aid being passed around in these forums :(

are you people really defending a president that repeatedly IGNORED terrorist threats just days before 9/11, while on a one month vacation after being in office only 8 months???

and the same president that said:

"The most important thing is for us to find Osama bin Laden. It is our number one priority and we will not rest until we find him."
- G.W. Bush, 9/13/01

"I want justice...There's an old poster out West, as I recall, that said, 'Wanted: Dead or Alive,'"
- G.W. Bush, 9/17/01, UPI

Listen, a while ago I said to the American people, our objective is more than bin Laden. But one of the things for certain is we're going to get him running and keep him running, and bring him to justice. And that's what's happening. He's on the run, if he's running at all. So we don't know whether he's in cave with the door shut, or a cave with the door open -- we just don't know...." - Bush, in remarks in a Press Availablity with the Press Travel Pool,
The Prairie Chapel Ranch, Crawford TX, 12/28/01, as reported on
official White House site

i think it's an ABSOLUTE DISGRACE to the brave men and women that died that horrible day to thank Bush of all people. 9/11 happened on HIS watch. HE SHOULD HAVE BEEN PROTECTING US ALL ALONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Clinton administration set the stage for 911. Thats factual, and as the planning spread back some seven years before set in motion. Twice he was presented with opportunity to take out Bin Ladin in the 90's, and he choose not too.

Let us see, Clinton knew for how long and did nothing, oh yeah he dumped it on Bush who had a few months to prepare? And like it or not if Obama gets elected he plans on dropping alot of our security so if 9/11 was bad what will come then? And another thing, have you noticed how so many Dems HATE Bush yet very few if any HATE Pelosi and her group of do nothings. We just want them out. It is a shame that a party has encouraged and feed a hatred for any American and not stood up and told the facts, we are where we are not because of a President but because of CONGRESS.

the continual invasion of the middle east for the last 50 years set the stage for 9/11.

and how many opportunities has Bush had??

Now rosco where is your crystal ball? One thing I have learned in my years on this earth as well as the service I have given to my country. Wars will come and go, as long as I am of this earth I will do my duty to protect the freedom that was given to me by the soldiers before me. One person alone can declare war in this country, but it takes the majority of this countries congress to keep it in motion. A president may declare war for 90 days in which time the congress must authorize the extended time line beyond that initial 90 days. So if anybody believes the stuff their politicians may be shoveling to the media about they did not stand in support of this war. I have prime ocean front property in the iraq desert for sale. (Sorry bad pun, but it fits)
