Ron Paul. Here's a bit:

" "The presidential fields of both parties have narrowed, and the arguments about how we should move forward are now familiar. TAC believes that only one candidate has put forth a diagnosis of America’s current ills and has a vision to turn the country off its misguided course. That is Congressman Ron Paul, whom we endorse for the Republican nomination.

On the key issue of foreign policy, the differences between the other Republican contenders can be measured in microdots. All remain enthusiastic supporters of the invasion of Iraq and of maintaining a presence there for years to come. All speak as if it is America’s right and duty to station its armed forces over much of the world. All have embraced neoconservative paranoia about the “threat” posed by Iran, setting the table for another war. All, that is, except Dr. Paul.

He is the one candidate who sees how the realities of world power have shifted since the 1990s, the one who recognizes that the time of unilateral American hegemony is over—and can’t be maintained even if it was in our interest to do so. He alone understands that the ever expanding federal government is a far greater threat to American liberty than some tinpot dictator in the Caucasus. By speaking about the benefits of smaller government and limited executive power, he has introduced a generation of young Americans to a more traditional and true style of conservatism—to the movement and the country’s benefit.""

With it becoming ever clear (not to be confused with Everclear), we are faced with two choices: Clinton and McCain. Count me among the RP supporters.

That being said, I want you to know that I am not playing blog "n**i". The only comments that have been deleted are from a certain two individuals (care to guess?). Personal attacks and blather are not tolerated.

I'm not giving up on Ron until he drops out. He's said he won't give up til the money stops pouring in. We'll see how he does tonite. Too bad we can't take the numbers as a real, accurate representation of the voters. Vote fraud will be our downfall?

FloydFreak, the thing that bugs me about deleting posts is two-fold. One being how much grief you and Hawkeye (& Yellowdog) gave Neanderthal for deleting posts on his threads and two, how much grief Hawkeye gave me for deleting one post where Hawkeye insulted Vittorio's intelligence on one of my blogs.

I never deleted posts where you or Hawkeye 'attacked' me in my threads. On national boards, they'll hand you your hat if you can't take the heat. They tell you to sit on the porch and watch.

That's all. For as much moaning and complaining that went on, for you two to start deleting 'attacking' posts cracked me up.

No, I'm not whining. W/the subject matter I post, I expect to being called every name under the sun. Insults don't bug me. Hypocrisy bugs me. While I'm at it, you and Hawkeye are tame at name-calling. Neither of you have ever called me a liberalcommiepinkoantiamericantreehugger or some form there of. You two are pussycats. I have nothing but love for ya. ;)

Let the games begin.....

Go Ron!

...I'm becoming a subscriber. Thank Moon Owl.

...I guess it's better late than never Floyd Freak, you should read some of his writings, they taught me tons about the basic fundamentals of the constitution and how they should be applied in todays context.
www.ronpaularchives.com/
...When the realization of just how far we have strayed from the constitution hits home you'll understand the enthusiasm and zeal of some of the more outspoken supporters.

...There is an ultimate sense of urgency for these ideological, economic applications to be applied to our self destructive freight train derailment of a government.

MO: Look at the subsequent comments from "those two" that I HAVE let stand. But when they start attacking me personally, I will not tolerate it. Go ahead and stick up for them, but I'll delete their cr*p in a second.

Ask chAng how many of HIS comments I have deleted.

Where am I 'sticking up for' anyone? I have called FTP on his rudeness more than once. But, I ain't his mother nor am I a mod on this board. If he chooses to conduct himself in that fashion there isn't anything I can do about it.

I haven't seen you delete anything of chAng's. But all his responses have been made with restraint. Tho, I have been waiting for you to answer questions he posed to you that haven't been responded to yet. But, we're all busy.

Has anyone else had problems reading posts today? Some I've had to post to have the responses show up. I posted on 44West's blog and cannot see any of the comments.

help....

Moonie: Following is a quote from chAng from one of my blogs (not even sure which one at this point):

"...Floyd Freak, a "neo-con sympathizer."

...The neo-cons are truly a decrepit plague, mutating and mangling everything they touch."

He has resorted to the same name-calling (just not QUITE as rude as his fellow Floyd-bashers). In his defense, he has yet to call me a "sherson" (singular of "sheeple").

That being said, I am not interested in debating the policies of the Bush administration because I consider most of their policies to be flawed - the war on terror and tax cuts for those that pay them notwithstanding.

How many times do I have to repeat myself? I am NOT defending the Bush administration. I am merely calling the left on a hole in their logic. That's IT. Nothing more.

But Floyd, you do sympathize w/the neo-conservatives. :)

Your attitude of bombing those that disagree with us is neo-conservative.

You do know that don't you?

Thank me chAng? What did I do?

We'll see how it goes tonight. I see Ron is #1 in MN right now w/no % reporting. I guess those are the absentee ballots?

To me, Ron's the man. I changed parties so I could vote for him in the Primary. I am truly surprised the "Republicans" aren't fully behind him. He is the only one who is speaking sanity on the "R" side. I guess we're still at the mentality of voting for who we'd like to change a tire for or have a beer with - all while they sell us out to the highest bidder?

Whee for WeThePeople.

Mooniehawk. Deop was kind enough to copy and paste it in a repost.

"hawkfreak - all you would be able to do is kiss my a**, but dream on."

And you chastise me for deleting THAT???

Puh-LEEEEEESE!!!!

hehehehehe..... that didn't last long. W/2% reporting Huckabee jumps to the front. Huckabee vs Paul? The choice seems easy to me. But I'm not an Evangelical who thinks our Constitution needs to be amended to fit the word of "God" better so He'll come back and 'save' us.

Amsterdam is looking better & better except it's too frelling cold.

Yeah, if Ron doesn't make it, it's Obama for me. Somebody has to restore sanity. Obama believes in Evolution too. An added bonus.

Go ahead, call me a "neo-con" (chAng), call me a "sherson" (FRP/LBF). But make sure that you call me "tenacious", too.

P.S.: "Mooniehawk" was purely unintentional. Damned Dell computer with its jumping cursor.

Sorry about that!

Here's your quote he was responding to:

"Why don't you go to the Orlando site and get in on the discussion there so I can kick your a** down Orange Blossom Trail?"

I figured I should snag it before you decide to delete it?

God forbid we all play nice and actually exchange ideas on how to actually make a difference. We are all a career politicians dream.

Floyd, I've already said numerous times that I don't take insults personally. No apology necessary.

I am also partial to Hawks. I have quite a few living around my lake and enjoy watching them hunt in my yard. A MamaRaptor was on the roof of my kids playhouse and let her walk w/in 6ft of her. I wouldn't let her go any closer, but Mama didn't fly off and they checked each other out. It was cool.

The neighborhood Owls are more elusive. Tho, Apap and I do enjoy their calls at night.

We have got to come up with a post that will send Hawkeye back because he can't stand just reading any longer. He'll have to respond. Perhaps if we started more threads begging him to return, he would? ;)

If I were president I would change the way we elect. We would have either a general primary or do away with primaries and just let all the dogs show up on election day and see who picks up the most votes. What would qualify them though, besides the age, USA born citizen etc? These election processes are so old and tired.

Getting rid of corporate contributions and lobbyists would go a long way bringing a candidate back to being for WeThePeople - 1st, 2nd & 3rd..

Like that will ever happen?

After viewing last night's 'results', I doubt it will happen.

We're still voting against our better interests while thinking we're voting to our benefit.

blah. What gives? Perhaps it's just me.

Can't we all just "get along"?

If Hawk decides to re-enter the world of grown-ups, I guess he'll return. It's not worth begging for, just send the baby to sit in the corner until he grows up.

Sorry buddy, someone needs to slap a little sense into your birdbrain.

I have had problems posting to Dan also.

I've had problems on a few blogs. I have to comment on them to see the new responses. What's up w/that? Help Mr. Moderator! Is there a problem somewhere?

Yellowdog, I too am surprised at his departure. I thought he (and Floyd) was capable of taking the heat w/ease.

In your thread about him I detailed what I had been watching. Perhaps I missed something (it's possible - I don't read every single thread) that sent him over the edge w/the white flag? I do know that in the past, when people post about him returning, he does.

Maybe Hawkeye is giving MadamePresident some personal nursing attention that only her WingMan can give? That would explain his continued absence. He's not off sulking, he's nursing Michelled back to perfect health so she (and he) can rejoin us soon.

...Floyd Freak, if you think me calling you a neo-conservatve is "name-calling" then you obviously don't understand the concept of how peoples belief structures relate to a political ideology, and quite a few people don't even realize what ideology their belief structures fall under, I was just letting you know where you're at buddy, since you obviously were clueless, and even backwards in your self-explanation.

...You guys forget that McCain has nothing in the bag, he must get 1,191 delegates in order to automatically get the nomination. Last I checked, McCain had roughly 700 delegates, Romney 300, Huckabee 200, and Ron Paul somewhere around 50.

...With Romney gone, people voting for Huckabee could very well keep McCain from reaching the 1,191 mark and Ron Paul could very well walk away with the nomination.

...Although, in a brokered convention the delegates are free agents to vote for who they choose. Romney just dropped from the race, claiming his support for McCain, but will his delegates turn around a really vote for McCain, or Huckabee, or will they be open and decide by the speeches given by each candidate at the convention itself? This keeps looking better for Ron Paul really.
