Here's a bit of this article:

GALLUP — A former Gallup FBI agent was convicted of passing on lucrative and confidential government information to inside traders in a New York courtroom Monday.

According to the federal indictment, Jeffrey Royer received private deposits and a pickup truck for providing dirt on targeted companies to a team of financial analysts.

Royer was convicted of racketeering, securities fraud, obstruction of justice and witness tampering for leaking details of FBI investigations and executives' criminal histories to San Diego stock picker Anthony Elgindy.

Elgindy was convicted of racketeering, securities fraud and extortion for his role in the scheme. He dropped his face into his hands and sobbed uncontrollably as the jury foreman read the verdict; U.S. marshals led him weeping from the courtroom.

The charges carry a sentence of up to 20 years in prison.

...hehehe, I love it when authoritarian figures get busted for doing their deeds. Must of been a nice truck, too bad he'll never get to drive it off a cliff.

But we have the government with their proprietery information playing in the markets with the Plunge Protection Team (PPT) every day.

Here is a link that gives a basic explanation:

Plunge Protection Team

The Washington Post

It is 2 o'clock on a hypothetical Monday afternoon, and the Dow Jones industrial average has plummeted 664 points, on top of a 847-point slide the previous week.

The chairman of the New York Stock Exchange has called the White House chief of staff and asked permission to close the world's most important stock market. By law, only the president can authorize a shutdown of U.S. financial markets.

In the Oval Office, the president confers with the members of his Working Group on Financial Markets -- the secretary of the treasury and the chairmen of the Federal Reserve Board, the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission.

Secrets Of The
Plunge Protection Team
The Four Derivative US Dictators
By Michael Edward
5-13-4

There are just four people who control all of the U.S. markets through their use of dangerous and explosive DERIVATIVES. They are risking the assets and retirement funds of all Americans. Because of their manipulations, especially since 2001, U.S. financial markets are now based on the gambling whims of a special fraternity of Federal Government DERIVATIVE dealers.

This group is known among Wall Street as the Plunge Protection Team (PPT). Their "official" role was to prevent another 1987 "Black Monday". They have the entire U.S. Treasury at their disposal to manipulate the markets through DERIVATIVES (futures options). In other words, they are using the assets behind the U.S. Treasury to rig the prices of commodites (gold, currencies, etc.) and stocks.

THE "PLUNGE PROTECTION TEAM" WORKING OVERTIME

“Imagination is more important than knowledge”, the brilliant Albert Einstein used to say. Imagine for just a moment, that the Dow Jones Industrials has become a key instrument of national economic policy, and that by “actively managing” its direction, the government could impact the wealth of tens of millions of US households, and by extension, influence consumer confidence and spending.

Ah yes, the PPT.... Isn't that supposed to be illegal?

I was wondering how prevalent 'insider' stuff was in the "Initial Agencies" and are these really the agencies we need in charge of filtering our personal, private information? Able to handle all our info professionally and w/integrity? Why do I think not?

Oh the things WeThePeople are putting up with these days.

I wonder if S1959 has passed yet? Do my sentiments now make me a possible violent homegrown terrorist? Yeah, the things WeThePeople have willingly put up with these past few years to 'keep us safe'. hehehehe.... non-thinking too ;) Or should I say 'distracted thinking'?

My brain is now numb. I'm going to make some tea and have some ginger snaps. Help yourselves.

...I saw that HR 1955, had changed to senate bill 1959, and will cross the presidents desk sometime this summer, and if he doesn't veto it(which I doubt he will), then it'll be law.
