Here's a bit:

"The Bush Administration was wrong about the benefits of the war and it was wrong about the costs of the war. The president and his advisers expected a quick, inexpensive conflict. Instead, we have a war that is costing more than anyone could have imagined.

The cost of direct US military operations - not even including long-term costs such as taking care of wounded veterans - already exceeds the cost of the 12-year war in Vietnam and is more than double the cost of the Korean War.

And, even in the best case scenario, these costs are projected to be almost ten times the cost of the first Gulf War, almost a third more than the cost of the Vietnam War, and twice that of the First World War. The only war in our history which cost more was the Second World War, when 16.3 million U.S. troops fought in a campaign lasting four years, at a total cost (in 2007 dollars, after adjusting for inflation) of about $5 trillion (that's $5 million million, or £2.5 million million)."

No wonder the loud crowing from the rooftops of a "Self-Financing War!" has ceased.

Dumbo spends money as fast as the presses can print to support his "war to hang Saddam" and to enrich his buddies at Haliburton and elsewhere, but must draw the line on education and health care for kids.

Never have we had such a corrupt and criminal organization within the walls of government.

Everybody, mark you calendars for the BIG party on 1-20-09.

The second celebration will be on the date of the indictment announced in the Hague of Dick, Dumb and their minions of corruption and crime. A day which may begin to cleanse the stench from the nostrils of all of the freedom loving peoples of the world.

I guess FloydFreak's 'Army' hasn't gotten here from Colorado yet?

Or perhaps the truth leaves nothing for those few remaining Bush Supporters to say regarding Bush's personal agendas?

Imagine my lack of shock.

It is indeed a futile task when attempting to defend the indefensible.

Maybe our misguided pals have seen the light?

If Hawk crawls out of his spider hole, we'll probably hear another rant from him.

At least 70% of the country sees the light.

I wonder if that last 30% ever will? That would involve admitting that they had been mistaken. Some people would rather cut off their arm than say they were fooled.

hehehehehehe..... Lord help Dubya when they do realize and decide they are ticked. I bet he'll have retired to Uruguay by then? How quaint he'd pick a non-extradition country to retire to.

I am disappointed in Hawkeye. I thought he had more in him than that. A few people call him out and he throws in the towel and runs away.

Perhaps he has realized the truth and doesn't know what to say? One can hope ;)

Bush was not wrong about the benifits of war or cost of war. It has cost tax payers so much, many their jobs as the national employment rate has risen drastically. The benifits, well he didn't specify who it would benefit. He didn't say it would help the economy or the citizens or who it would benefit. But obviously it has benefited KBR, Haliburton construction, the companies that hold most of the constrution contracts that Dick Cheney is a major part of. It has definately benefited Haliburton, there stock basically doubled in the last year. They just didn't mention that it would be at the expense of the working class tax payers.
