Charlton Heston died this past weekend. Alzheimer's. Heston used to command respect in Hollywood. That would have been when he was the president of the Screen Actors Guild. Things changed when Heston started promoting conservative values and became president of the National Rifle Association. Hollywood is irredeemably liberal. Liberals don't like guns --- unless, that is, they're in the hands of people like Che Guevara.

And why do liberals hate guns so? That would be because guns are an ultimate symbol of self reliance. A private citizen with a gun is making a statement: "I am an individual who is primarily responsible for my own safety and the safety of my family." Fool. Doesn't he realize that it is the government, not he, that is responsible for his safety? Doesn't he realize that the government exists to take care of his every need, including the need for protection from predators? How DARE him show self reliance when he has a nanny government standing by to tuck him into bed every night? Just who the hell does he think he is? An individual?

Liberals aren't fond of individualism, you know.

Not today, but I will give you that not all libs are nut jobs just the ACLU Card carrying ones. Who do you think wants to expand government and take away are right to have weapons. The Clintons and Obama are at the top of the list and last time I checked they are part of the progressive movement (LIBERALS).

Nancy Pelosi has decided that the government must come to the rescue ... yet again. She wants a second stimulus bill, after hearing that that 80,000 jobs were lost last month. She hasn't decided what the second package will be, but you can be assured that it will involve using the police power of government to seize property from those who have earned it and then handing that property to those who have done nothing to deserve it – except sit on their asses and wait for the government to cover for their laziness In the past, Nancy has indicated that she wants to increase unemployment insurance and food stamp payments, and she wants to put together public works spending packages. Yeah ... let's get those non-achievers out in the national forests raking leaves.

I am the example of a card carrying member of both the NRA and the ACLU.

I see no contradiction of supporting the First and Second amendments.

My pal Neck has a few clues about the police state mentality of some, in government and out. Jus tbe consistent.

I suspect the RWNJ's mostly support the Patriot act too.

Why pick and choose your outrages? The lack of consistency indicts your arguments as faulty and indefensible.

The ACLU is a radical defender of the First, just as the NRA does the same for the Second.

Let me see if I understand you YD it's ok for NAMBLA to put out disgusting lititure about seducing little boys but it's not ok to say under god in public schools. You can produce all the smut you want thats ok, but you want to remove any religious symble nomatter how long it's been up.
