Our Children Are Being Victimized By Illegal Aliens Dave Gibson

Dave Gibson is a freelance writer living in Norfolk, Va.

Dave Gibson June 16, 2008 Contrary to what President Bush claims, family values do stop at the Rio Grande for many illegal aliens. In addition to suppressing wages, bankrupting our hospitals, and over-crowding our jails and public schools, illegal aliens are preying upon our children

In Operation Predator sweeps across the country conducted between 2003-2007, Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents nabbed over 10,700 foreign national child molesters. Many of these predators had been previously convicted of other crimes, and many had already been deported once. The number predators apprehended in the sweeps actually only represent the tip of the iceberg.

In fact, a study conducted by the Violent Crimes Institute reports that between 1999 and 2006, there were nearly 1,000,000 sex crimes committed in the United States by illegal aliens.

Using U.S. Department of Justice, Immigration, as well as state and local law enforcement data, Deborah Schurman-Kauflin of the Violent Crimes Institute determined that there are no less than 240,000 illegal alien sex offenders currently inside the U.S.

A very cursory search on the subject of illegal aliens committing acts of child molestation turned up countless examples of the growing problem. The following are two recent ones:

The suspect in the recent rape of a 13 year old Alabama girl is believed to be an illegal alien. Mobile County Sheriff's detectives are looking for a man named Domingo Lorenzo for the rape which was reported on June 4.

Sheriff´s department spokesman Sgt. Jerry Taylor said: "The first thing they're trying to do is verify his true identity. Once that's done they'll be able to check with immigration officials to see if he did have the proper credentials to enter the country."

Lorenzo is known to neighbors of a West Mobile trailer park, though the owner of Ridgewood Acres claims that he has no record of Lorenzo paying rent. Many residents told reporters he is frequently on the premises.

Warren McLamore, the victim´s father told a WKRG reporter: "My daughter doesn't even go outside now. If she does, I just put her in the car, lock the doors, get in and get out of here."

On May 28, a 25 year old Mexican national named Israel Lugo Rios was arrested and charged with molesting a 3 year old Bradenton, FL girl. The little girls was taken to Manatee Memorial Hospital after complaining of pain. Upon medical examination, it was discovered that the girl had been sexually violated.

The sheriff´s department has determined that Rios is in the country illegally.

In 2007, Americans For Legal Immigration Political Action Committee (ALIPAC) tracked child sexual assaults committed by illegal aliens. In a 30 day period, they recorded 27 assaults by foreign nationals illegally inside the United States. The results are as follows:

So why does the crime of child molestation seem to be so prevalent among illegal aliens from Mexico?…The answer may lie within the age-old Mexican culture of "machismo," as well as within the actual laws of that country.

The crime of rape or child molestation is incredibly under-reported in Mexico, because there is so much shame placed upon the victim as well as the difficulty in proving the case. A 2002 Pulitzer Prize winning Washington Post article, reporter Mary Jordan detailed the case of a 16 year old Mexican girl who had reported being raped by three policemen in 1997. When Yessica Yadira Diaz Cazares and her mother went to the police station to report the rape, she was laughed at by the officers and actually jailed overnight.

Diaz was forced by police to undergo a medical exam as well as a total of eight blood tests. She was told that the blood tests would determine whether or not she had actually been raped. Prosecutors told the girl that she must physically put her hand on the men who raped her, courageously she proceeded even as the family received death threats.

The accused officer laughed at her and verbally abused the girl as she identified him as an attacker. Eventually, Yessica realized that justice would never be served and simply gave up. Sadly, she not only gave up her search for justice but her life as well. Despondent, she committed suicide by taking an overdose of prescription pills.

After Yessica´s death, the national human rights commission pursued the case, resulting in the conviction of two of the accused officers.

The crime of kidnapping a woman for the purpose of rape and marriage against their will, or "rapto" as it is known in Mexico is actually a minor crime and rarely ever prosecuted. A Mexican legislator actually called the practice "romantic." Of course, this crime if committed in the United States would elicit felony charges and a penalty of 20 years to life in prison.

While rape is a serious crime in the United States, many Mexican nationals cannot understand why they are prosecuted on this side of the border. Often, a small payment of $10 to $20 to the victim´s family will settle the matter back in Mexico.

The most troubling and telling reason behind the growing epidemic of child molestation at the hands of Mexican illegal aliens, is the fact the age of sexual consent throughout the majority of Mexico is 12 years of age!

The only other nation in the world which boasts such a disregard for childhood innocence is Zimbabwe, where the age of consent is also 12.

Article 177 of the Mexican Federal District Penal Code discusses "sexual abuse" and punishment of other acts referred to as "unintentional" acts –"who without purpose of reaching copulation, performs a sexual act with a person under 12 or a person that has no capacity of understanding the meaning of the act or that for any reason cannot resist it, or that demands that such act is observed or performed, will be punished with 2 to 7 years in prison".

In addition to Mexico City, the age of consent is 12 years old in the following Mexican states:

Aquascalientes

Baja California Sur

Campeche

Coahuila

Guanajuato

Guerrero

Hidalgo

Jalisco

Michoacan

Morelos

Nayarit

Oaxaca

Puebla

San Louis Potosi

Sonora

Tabasco

Tamaulipas

Yucatan

Zacatecas

The age of consent is 13 years old in Nuevo Leon and 14 years old in the seven remaining Mexican states.

The attitude towards having sex with little girls is carried with many Mexican men as they cross into this country.

An example of this attitude can be found in Mexican national Diego Lopez-Mendez, who pled guilty in 2006 to sexually assaulting a 10 year old West Virginia girl. Through an interpreter, he told the court: "In the pueblo where I grew up girls are usually married by 13 years old….I was unaware of the nature of the offense or that it was a bad crime."

In order to bring charges of rape in most Mexican states, the law requires that the girl prove that she is a virgin, and that the charge of statutory rape be dropped if the rapist wishes to marry his victim.

Of course, when discussing the issue of illegal immigration, this dirty little secret is never talked about by our politicians, nor is the impact that such an attitude towards the abuse of children could have on this nation by offering amnesty to millions of Mexican nationals.

The next time someone tells you that illegal immigration is a 'victimless crime,' remind them of the children whose lives will never be the same.

Until our politicians gain the courage to actually defend our border…Keep your children close!

Some columnist from the Sun Sentinel in South Florida thought it would be really clever to exploit this oil situation in Florida. Yeah. He says, "If we control access to something the rest of the country wants, we should be darn sure we get something good in return." So his idea? Make the nation agree to national hurricane insurance. In other words, in order for Florida to become a part of the solution, we must agree to fork over some taxpayer dollars to people who have knowingly chosen to live in a hurricane area (like me, for instance). It's not like the government forced them to live there. It's not like the government is forcing anyone to stay there. But it is the government's job to make sure that others pay for these decisions.

This guy, Michael Mayo, takes it even further. Mockingly he says, "And maybe the feds could cough up some more money for Everglades restoration. And maybe buy us a few more voting machines that actually work. Sounds fair enough, right?"

Let me tell you a little something about "fair." Where was the fairness when our own government decided that American companies couldn't drill off of our own coasts while other countries are perfectly capable of doing so? Where was the fairness when Barack Obama says he wants the government to tax windfall profits from private oil companies and distribute it to non-achievers to pay for gas? Where is the fairness when oil company executives are dragged to Congress like some sort of criminals because they actually make a profit in their businesses?

You wanna take about fair? It's "unfair" that Florida has been a tick in the side of American energy policy for so long. Now suck it up and stop mocking the situation ... I'm sure millions of people who are paying $4 a gallon at the pump are not nearly as flippant about the future of this country. But I shouldn't expect anything less from a Democrat.

For what? For determining what other countries believe is fine and what is not fine before the we in the United States make any lifestyle changes or other weighty decisions.

Before that huge crowd in Portland, Oregon this past weekend The Messiah told the believers that "We can't drive our SUVs and eat as much as we want and keep our homes on 72 degrees at all times ... and then just expect that other countries are going to say OK."

Hold on, Obama? What am I missing here? On what particular calendar day did it suddenly become necessary for me to seek the approval of any Euro-weenie nation before I decided what car I was going to drive? And to what international body do I apply for permission to eat? Also ... is there some Internet site I need to visit to determine where I set my home thermostat on any given day?

Look, this is just too complicated for me. I just can't be expected to find my way through the maze of international relations for help in deciding what car to buy, what to have for lunch, and how cold I can have my home on a hot summer day. I'm sorry, Mr. Obama, but you're just going to have to help out dumb Americans like me. We'll need some huge government agency – perhaps even a cabinet-level department – to poll the nations of the world on a continuing basis in order to set the parameters for what we, as Americans, can and can do with our own money and our own lives inside our own homes.

You know, it used to be that we pretty much accepted the idea that we could do anything we want in our private lives, as long as we weren't violating someone else's right to life, liberty or property. What a wonderful new world President Obama is going to usher in for us. America – Americans – seeking permission for basically everything we do.

Don't want the world pissed off at us now, do we?

Matt Lauer, in all his journalistic brilliance, interviewed the CEO of ExxonMobil Rex Tillerson. Lauer displays not only his ignorance but the ignorance of Americans like "Elaine from Pennsylvania." Elaine sent an email into the show, which asked Mr. Tillerson. "'How can you justify the record profits you're making when people can't afford to put gas in their cars to go to work?'" First off, what does this question imply? It implies wealth envy. Elaine insinuates that oil companies have to justify their earnings in a free market society and that they are evil for making money when others are "suffering." So Tillerson's response is exactly what you would expect and what I have been saying day in and day out ... profits are not large because of high profit margins. but because of high volume. Clearly Elaine (and possible Matt Lauer) does not have a basic understanding of profit margins. But Tillerson really puts things into perspective. He says. "[W]hen you take our profit of $40 billion [in 2007]. that's 1 0 cents on every dollar of revenue that we generate... That puts us about in the middle of most Fortune 500 companies, so we're not at the top in terms of profit per revenue; we're not at the bottom." Do you hear that, folks? For all of you whining and complaining about oil companies, in terms of profit per revenue, these companies are about in the middle of most Fortune 500 companies.

Leave it to NBC to feature an email from some economic dolt who couldn't write a cohesive sentence on the difference between a profit and a profit margin.

Matt Lauer then had another brainless point. Apparently the oil companies are expected to be held to different standards than other Fortune 500 companies because "a lot of Fortune 500 companies. Mr. Tillerson, don't so directly impact people's ability to go to work, do their jobs, feed their families and that sort of thing, and that's where the problem comes in," So now the industry must not rely on supply and demand (like other companies would), but must also make businesses decisions based on how Billy is going to get to his job at MacDonald's.

What we're seeing in Lauer's comments is the new liberal dogma that it is only OK to make profits so long as you're making that profit on something that people don't really need.

One last thing. Lauer suggests that Exxon isn't investing enough of its profits in finding ways to bring down prices. Well Tillerson throws that right back in his face saying that they would do more if they could gain access to more areas to apply their technology. Are any of you environmentalists listening? When do you want to start becoming a part of the solution rather than the problem?

There's an upcoming trial in New York City involving a gun shop owner who was sued by the city. But in this trial, lawyers for Mayor Bloomberg are asking the judge to ban any reference to the Second Amendment during the trial.

What the hell? We're supposed to be a nation of laws, and these LAWyers want any mention of the supreme law of the land barred from a legal proceeding?

The trial is set to start May 27. It actually involved a gun shop here in our home state of Georgia called Adventure Outdoors. New York City is claiming that this store is responsible for a disproportionate number of firearms recovered from New York City criminals. This isn't the only gun shop New York City is taking to task ... this is just one of 27 out-of-state gun shops being sued by New York City.

In this case a motion has been filed for Judge Jack Weinstein not to allow the store's lawyers to argue that the suit infringes on any Second Amendment rights of the gun store or its customers. Bloomberg's lawyer who filed the motion is seeking a ban on "any references" to the amendment. The brief says, "Any references by counsel to the Second Amendment or analogous state constitutional provisions are likewise irrelevant."

Is this man being paid by the Clinton campaign or the McCain campaign? Has to be Clinton ... McCain doesn't really appear to be ready to fight that hard for the presidency.

The more we hear from this jerk the more we understand his deep hatred for this country and all that it stands for. He compares the U.S. Marine Corps to Roman Legionnaires. He compares the U.S. Flag to the Al Qaeda Flag – and who knew they had a flag? Did you know that the United States is a terrorist nation? Why it must be, because Jeremiah Wright say's it is so! Then after 9/11 he comes out with that line about America's chickens coming home to roost. He credits that line to the U.S. Ambassador to Iraq and points out that the ambassador was white and "not a black militant." It turns out that our Ambassador never made those comments at all. What's the deal? A lie or a mistake?

Then suddenly Jeremiah Wright becomes not just a black pastor ... he becomes the black church in America! He told that crowd at the National Press Club yesterday that this isn't an attack on Jeremiah Wright, it's "an attack on the black church!" Who knew! Can this man's ego get any bigger? Now he's the black church? Look; a lot of you have attended black churches, and you most likely didn't hear any of the venom spewed by Jeremiah Wright. Fact is ... he's just one angry preacher from Chicago who is enjoying his 15 minutes of fame and is just by-God determined to turn it into something more. I wonder what speaker's bureau he has signed up with.

The teacher's unions constitute the greatest long-term threat to our nation. These teachers are so afraid of competition and losing their tax-payer funded salaries, and they have little invested interest in actually producing a knowledgeable generation of competent students. Because of teacher's unions we have little chance of getting any competitive influences working in our vast government education bureaucracy. Without competition there is no excellence. Government education was iffy to begin with, teacher's unions have only guaranteed failure.

An adjunct fellow of the Manhattan Institute has compiled some of the most comprehensive research on how immigrants and illegal immigrants are really affecting America. Here are some of the lowlights.

American taxpayers are coughing up more than $9,000 a year in cash or benefits to each immigrant this country. One third (and I think this number is low) of those immigrants are illegal. So there are 37 million criminal immigrants in the United States. This means that the national cost of immigrants and illegal immigrants in this country last year was more than $346 billion – twice the fiscal deficit. The author of the research, Edwin S. Rubenstein, says this is because "Immigrants are poorer, pay less tax and are more likely to receive public benefits than natives." Wow. I'll alert the media.

When it comes to the financial burden on our government schools, 3.8 million immigrants – I'm guessing the majority are illegal -- are enrolled in the most expensive government classes – non-English speaking. They are the most expensive because they require schools to hire specialized teachers, to train those teachers, and absorb the administrative costs. It is estimated that $1,030 is spent on each immigrant or illegal in government schools ... that's about $3.9 billion.

Want more on that government education you are so in love with? Of the 48.4 million government school children in this country, 19% are immigrants or children of immigrants. But get this, in the next few years, immigration will account for virtually all increases in government school spending.

So how about all of those criminal aliens sitting in US jails? It costs US taxpayers $1.5 billion to incarcerate 267,000 criminal aliens in federal prison for a year. Even worse, since prisons are overcrowded, 80,000 to 100,000 criminal aliens have been prematurely released back onto the streets. These criminals impose heavy costs on their victims. The research estimates that the loss of income and property, hospital bills and emotion suffering at the hands of immigrants and illegal totals $1.6 million per victim.

Many people will try and tell you that immigrant households don't receive government benefits ... not so. Almost 25% of immigrant households receive Medicaid. Compare that number to the number of native-born Americans that receive Medicaid – 14.8%. Hispanics account for 19.2% of Medicaid enrollment, even though they are only 13.7% of the population.

And here's something that few people will talk about – immigrant workers actually depress the wages received by native-born Americans. This causes a $100 billion shortfall in federal tax revenue. If the labor force from immigration increases by 10%, this reduces the wages of native-born Americans by over 5%.

Lovely, don't you think? Yet we can't get the politicians in Washington to do anything really meaningful about the invasion.

OIL NEARS $117 A BARREL ...

The first thing we should do about the oil situation is Drill in ANWR Tap the known reserves of oil and natural gas off the West coast of Florida Develop ways to use the oil shale from the Western United States Develop coal gasification techniques Build more refineries Build nuclear power plants Something else And our "friends" the Saudis are balking at increasing production. So while they continue to screw with us on oil ... let's be sure to respond here in this country by:

  1. Refusing to drill in ANWR for more oil in the very portion of ANWR that was set aside for the purpose of drilling for more oil.
  2. Refuse to tap the known reserves of oil and natural gas off the West coast of Florida because, after all, we certainly don't want tourists in Florida to catch sight of a drilling rig 25 miles off shore now do we?
  3. Refuse to develop ways to use the oil shale from the Western United States.
  4. Refuse to develop coal gasification techniques.
  5. Refuse to build any more refineries in the United States.
  6. Listen to the anti-nuke moonbats and continue to delay building some nuclear power plants.

And while we're doing all of these things let's make sure to keep the subsidies for ethanol at a ridiculous high so that we can take more land out of food production to grow more corn to be turned into an alternative fuel. We burn more than a gallon of fossil fuels to produce a gallon of ethanol .. so this sounds like a good bet to me!

Oh ... and let's continue to call the Saudis our friends and kiss their sandy butts at every possible opportunity.

And now for a bit of insensitivity ... A fatwa has been issued in Dubai to immediately ban the printing of names on labels of sample bottles. Are you with me here? This means that if your name is Mohammed and you go to the doctor for a checkup, the doctor can't ask you to pee in the cup and put your name on the label. These are the little bottles provided at hospitals and laboratories. And why are they so concerned about names on these medical bottles? Because the Dubai Islamic Affairs Department does not want the 99 names of the Almighty God printed on a bottle containing urine or stool samples. This is offensive to Islam because it desecrates the glorious names of God.

Blowing your ass up in the middle of a group of women and children isn't offensive to Islam.

In Phoenix, Arizona the mayor and the police chief are at odds with one another over illegal immigration. In fact, the mayor is so upset with the crackdown on illegal immigrants that he has asked the FBI to investigate whether the county sheriff has violated any civil rights laws. He makes no mention, however, about the laws that were broken by the illegals who came to this country. The crimes committed by the soldiers of the Mexican invasion don't seem to bother Mayor Phil Gordon.

Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio believes that mayor is completely disconnected from the people he represents. My guess is that the Sheriff has this one right. So now the Mayor is going to Washington to try and turn the public against the raids. The Arizona Ecumenical Council and American Jewish Committee have determined that the sheriff's patrols are evoking a "police state atmosphere" and detaining people on the basis of a racial profile and dehumanizing innocent people.

God forbid we should ever try to enforce the laws in this country.

These qualities of hospitality, patriotism and endurance are exactly what Californians need to hear about Pennsylvanians. And when he spoke to a group of his wealthier Golden State backers at a San Francisco fund-raiser last Sunday, Barack Obama took a shot at explaining the yawning cultural gap that separates a Turkeyfoot from a Marin County. "You go into some of these small towns in Pennsylvania, and like a lot of small towns in the Midwest, the jobs have been gone now for 25 years and nothing's replaced them," Obama said. "And they fell through the Clinton Administration, and the Bush Administration, and each successive administration has said that somehow these communities are gonna regenerate and they have not. And it's not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren't like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations."

From the Huffington Post Blog, I can't beleave they posted a Anti Obama story with the vidio and tape of Barack Obama calling small town America a buch of racist gun totting hicks.

I grew up in small town Pa, and they are not anti-immigrant they are anti-ilegal alien hell half of the people I know from Pa, are the sons and daughters of legal immigrants. This is the final nail as far as I am concerned that Barack Obama is nothing but a socialist racist who like his preacher does not like white people.

Get the word out because the major media will not report this story so far it's only been on CNN Lou Dobbs Tonight. Read and listen before you let this Anti American win the White House.

Yesterday the Florida legislature passed a measure that would allow most Florida residents to take guns to work. Naturally, they must have a permit to carry the weapon, but it will allow workers to keep guns in their cars for self-protection. Thus, businesses will be prohibited from banning guns kept in locked cars on their private property. And it will apply to not just employees but customers and invited guests to businesses.

Boca Raton Democrat Ted Deutch had this to say about the bill, "This is an attempt to trample upon the property rights of property owners and attempt to make it more difficult to protect the workers in a workplace and those who visit our retail establishments."

What dog squeeze. Look ... these workers have to leave the safety of their employer's parking lot and head home .. then drive back in the morning. On the way to or from work they might have to go into areas that are not, shall we say, exactly safe. They're entitled to defend and protect themselves from predators. I'm sorry, but the individual right to self defense trumps private property rights.

American Airlines is having a bit of a problem as a good portion of their fleet is grounded while some wiring problems are corrected. And why are these wiring problems being corrected? For safety, of course. So the Fox News Channel cameras head to an airport to get the reaction of some of the passengers who were inconvenienced by the delays. In short order they stumble onto some bleached blond who says: "They're not thinking about us at all ... the passengers. I'm never going to fly American again."

Hey, you twit .. .these delays are for safety. Your safety. It is precisely you they are thinking about when they inspect these airplanes. Next time take the damned bus.

Charlton Heston died this past weekend. Alzheimer's. Heston used to command respect in Hollywood. That would have been when he was the president of the Screen Actors Guild. Things changed when Heston started promoting conservative values and became president of the National Rifle Association. Hollywood is irredeemably liberal. Liberals don't like guns --- unless, that is, they're in the hands of people like Che Guevara.

And why do liberals hate guns so? That would be because guns are an ultimate symbol of self reliance. A private citizen with a gun is making a statement: "I am an individual who is primarily responsible for my own safety and the safety of my family." Fool. Doesn't he realize that it is the government, not he, that is responsible for his safety? Doesn't he realize that the government exists to take care of his every need, including the need for protection from predators? How DARE him show self reliance when he has a nanny government standing by to tuck him into bed every night? Just who the hell does he think he is? An individual?

Liberals aren't fond of individualism, you know.
