Hi there Everyone...

best cd: once again I loved "American Gangster"..not the soundtrack to the movie though but Jay-Z's latest fete.  I also loved Wyclef Jean's, "Memoir's of an Immigrant" and MAry J's Growing Pains.

song of the year:  I loved "Umbrella, "Before he Cheats", "Girlfriend" and "Bump Like This".

Favorite show: Didn't debut in 2007, but I really fell in love with Big Love and So You Think You Can Dance."

Favorite new website: www.chicksinthehuddle.com.  It'sm a friend of mine's website but it is great, funny, glib and empoering to women who like sports.

what are some of your fav's?  can't wait. HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!

Nischelle,

This is great! By the way, great moves on the final day! Got Steve going too along with Lisa Breckenridge, while Tony Mac stayed in the newsroom! Now you and Steve can show Mark Thompson some new moves when he fills in for Maria!

Now my favorite shows were American Idol and The Next Great American Band! Oh yes, and That's So Hollywood! You can ask Mark...he'll give you the scoop on what I say...or you can read my replies to his blogs, and his responses.

I hope you and Bobby D. have a wonderful new year!

Nischelle, I love you! :]

You are the only woman on GoodDay LA that has anything going for her!!!!

You are smart, witty, funny and foxy!

You make Jillian look like a two-bit hooker. No, she makes herself look THAT way. Must be the eyeliner!

Anyway, I pray that Fox will make you an offer, to stay in the studio (even though I love every "on the scene" spot you do). You're like a breath of Heavenly fresh air! Keep it up!!

Okay, I’m holla’in’ back atcha.

Knee Shell (blame Spell check), you are absolutely the best part of my mornings. As the pasty studio folks grate on my nerves, not unlike nails on a chalkboard, you bring a smile and intelligent repartee to the show. Thanks for making the others more bearable.

I agree, “American Gangster” was spellbinding and kept me on the edge of my seat, although Russell Crowe seemed to give up his swagger for a bit of a swish. (shrug)

I assume you haven’t seen one of my favorites, but if you did then Juno (get it? you know/Juno) which one I’m talking about. I’m generally not big on films de femmes (chick flicks), but Juno was an exceptional movie and I highly recommend it.

I haven’t heard all of Mary J’s CD, but I can tell you that she’s an inspiration to us all and I admire her immensely.

Umbrella? Oy vey! Perhaps if the song wasn’t screeched out, in the shower, by my significant other, every morning, I might learn to appreciate it. But, if I never hear it again, it’d be too soon.

Now then, sports…

I’m not a big sports fan. Never been into college ball and, ever since the Rams left, I haven’t followed the pros. Nonetheless, your enthusiasm has regenerated some excitement for me and I’ve found myself tuning in a bit more often. Thanks for reminding me.

I’d ramble on, but I gotta get ready to watch the Rose Bowl.

See you in the morning!

my number 1 is seeing the RED SOX win it all..the best movie of the year hasnt been released yet it was directed by CLINT EASTWOOD..called changeling and just to be on the set with such a profesional man and icon was an honer..the lowest point was and still is the WGA strike..

Nischelle,

I forgot one thing...Mark needs some new grooves when he fills in for Maria...can you or Steve make sure he sees the December 31st segments of you, Steve and Lisa grooving during the weather? I know he'll appreciate it! Mark DID say he needs some new moves, that's why I'm writing this.

Hi Nischelle, Happy New Year.
I agree the best movie for me was "American Gangster". Denzel always plays a great role on screen. mystere--thanks for the compliment! we have a good time on GDLA...i love filling in for the girls when they are gone. I dig Idol too...it's addictive and I will try and make sure Mark Thompson get's some new moves...he's a great guy.

doug--happy new year to you too!! Yes, I have been spending more time in the gym..I am going on vacation with my family in a couple months and I want to look right in my swimsuit! my tigers made up for it at the end...and hopefully I'll beback in Long Beach soon.

2zion--thanks for your support, but i have to say with a name like that i didn't expect to hear two bit hooker! that's harsh! Let me get serious for a sec...i know people form their own ideas about Jillian but I have to say she is one of the nicest, most giving, sweetest people I have ever met. I think she is so fantastic and she will ALWAYS get props from me becasue she had my back from the very first day I walked into FOX. you don't find a lot fo women who are like that...I do have fun filling in for her, though.

wordwise--juno is DEFINITELY on my list...I'm playing catchup wth my movies...bob and i were supposed to see it friday night but I fell asleep! embarrassing.

crafty--i hear you.

mia--thanks...i got that shirt from arden b. it fits great and was very affordble..i think i got it at the glendale galleria. thanks for the shout out!

aussie--how sweet are you. again, i have a great time filling in, but I think the powers are ahppy with the team...Steve Dorothy and Jillian and they should be they are great and have been together for years. Happy new year

I'm sure covering tragic events have got to be tough on you. It would be nice if Fox could put you on all of the fun events instead because the bad ones take away your smile. My cousin (who works for ABC News in Glendale, CA) lost his teenage son a a few years ago. He and the star football player at Pasadena High School were both killed on a winding road on their way to school. Their death put our whole family into a state of depression. He loved animals and was planning become a Veterinarian after graduating from Pasadena. We just celebrated his sisters birthday last week.

Jermain, we miss you. We know you're with us and we WILL see you again.

Nischelle, I would be a fool to think I could have a girl soo cool - who makes me feel I'm back in school - from a distance, she makes me drool.
But, when you're ready to settle down, there's another near your town. He's six foot four and colored brown with a mustache shaped like a frown.
Some may say He's like a Jew with four homes on his Avenue. I can see him with a girl like you. So WHADDA YA GONNA DO?? (smile)
He won't be single for very long - Several have tried to sing his song. I can help you two meet - We'd welcome you to our family!!

HOLLA

Oh, my daughter (Crystal Watson) said if you come to Nordstroms Westfield/Topanga Plaza mall (womens hand bags and accessories) and purchase from her, she'll get her hair done at your girls shop here in the Valley.

OK, Nischelle, things are getting a little out of hand in this writers strike. I wanna give you a little insight. OK???? I'm what's called a Ghost Writer. Just in case you don't know, a Ghost Writer secretly supplies (sells to)an established writer who is actually a member of the "Writers Guild" with material that THEY publish in their name. Magazines, books, film, television, etc.
in my case, I make CASH by selling material to establised writers who can't come up with any more good material to keep their jobs, and new rookies who managed to lie and squirm their way
into studios and production companies that require lots of "Example Material" just to be considered for a job.
I don't want to bring up the race card, But certain people who dominate the writers industry (who I supply material for) have been demanding that writers like me to submit material without a fee. That ain't happnin, GEE.

Nischelle, please do some extensive consulting with Fox when it comes to covering this writers strike and what they want you to report on camera. These people look very harmless, but some of them are like wolfs in sheeps clothing.
Some writers (if not most) have other means of earning an income (just like me).
It's the writers who make a killing ($) in this industry who put pressure on people who supply material to help them stay on top. Those are the ones who control the industry. There are more "Ghost Writers" then there are established writers. Ghost writers supply established writers with the material they use to keep the entertainment industry and advertis

...advertisement industry afloat. I know I shouldn't say this, but right now, I'm so pissed, I don't care. Members of the industry pay Ghost writers in cash. This money isn't reported to the IRS. Now, several of my friends (who are writers) told me that they've been threatened by recipients that their tax returns will be audited by the IRS going back as far as 10 years.
This is why O.J. killed his wife. This is gonna get ugly. You don't threaten anyone with the IRS.
Nischelle, you may want to turn assignments on the writers strike over to someone else.

I come from a family of investigators. My Father and Mother conducted investigations on both Military and Government levels. I also work for my dad. We understand how rough things can get. Please consult with Fox about what they want you to report. There are certain things that none of the other network news stations will report on because of fear of serious backlash. We know. We've seen them.
