Well, it appears that Obama is either a masterful interpreter of human character and behavior or a clever spin artist in double standard positions.  I would suggest that people go back and review what Obama's comments were in regards to Don Imus...  He said, "that no one would be allowed on my staff, who made comments like that,"  and something similar to the fact that he would NOT be associated with a person of that type of character. Do I hear a double standard position here or what?????  So, it's ok for Obama to still be associated with Pastor Wright, (cause he's like family) but MSN shouldn't be associated with Imus...

I don't know, but it sure looks like a lot of pick and choose to me.......  I guess if you put enough gravy  on a tough piece of chicken fried steak, people will believe it's edible............

Hey now! What's wrong with chicken fried steak? I dont need gravy for that! Mmm mm mmmmm!

Ok...back to seriousness. This guy is like any other liberal that has learned from the Clinton school of politics. Say what you need to say to get elected, even if it contadicts what you already told someone else five minutes before. Up until this BS came out, the only thing I could hold against Obama was his lack of experience but now I have that and being 2-faced. Ok ok...plus he wants to take away the Bush tax cuts.

Where's Condoleezza Rice when we need her?
Now there's a black candidate I could get behind! *grin*

Well said PastorD! Indeed, the hypocrisy of Obama's oratory is clearly evident. As to the possible personal implications of this contradiction in values, I am reminded of a metametaphorical question: "If you are told there is a rattle snake in a paper bag, are you going to reach into the bag to find out the truth?"

Let us hope we rememeber that "discretion is the better part of valor" when when making our final choices voting this year.

Neanderthal,

To answer the question, I would grab the bag and smash it on the ground a dozen times and then stomp on it until there were no signs of movement. Then I would open it and see. Too bad you can do that in this case. Not even metaphorically! But you can punch a tiny hole in the bag as is being done with Obama and have a peek inside without being struck!

I don't think rattlesnakes fit into paper bags.

Not so fast there dudes and dudettes.

I gave the lad until noon today to convince me that he was not a racist by association. He met my time frame.

I don't know how many of you listened to his entire speech, I did.

I believe he has some racial baggage and an agenda formed by his own experience. But so do we all.

I believe he sees some things from different eyes than us white folks do.

He did convince me that he does not share then same outrageous views that Wright expressed.

I still plan to vote for McCain (unless he picks Jeb! or charlie to be his running mate).

Obama may just be what our country needs if we are going to heal the distrust and division we all see amongst the races. Of course he could also do a great job as McCains point man for reform and reconciliation. How about Obama for Sec of HUD?

He is not the "evil" fraud that some make him out to be...I believe he sufficiently dispelled that rumor..

Yea but then I heard a clip today on what he said about Don Imus and very much cotradicts his apoligy of today.Listen to both of them come back here.

Parts of clips may not tell the whole story.

Imus was a real pig for what he said about those girls. He was very personal and mean to kids who by all standards were great athletes and good students. They handled themselves with dignity.

If my daughter had been the subject of his attack I would have ripped off his head.

I was shocked and amazed at the reaction from blacks after the OJ verdict. I did not realize the depth of the division betweens blacks and whites.

We all have a duty to try to bring our country together. We start with our own prejudice.

Come on now I did not say it was part of a clip is was the whole statement of what he said about the situation that CBS should not have anything to do with someone that spouts this kind of rederict and was asked point blank if he should be fired,Obama said YES. Don Imus was no racist he was a wannabe comedian. So if CBS and all advertisers should boycott Imus for his stupidity why would Obama not distance himself from a so called Preacher spouting even WORSE racisum and pure HATE that he has been around for TWENTY YEARS.Listen to what Imus said trying to be funny and then listen to Wright and his so called surmons then come back here and tell who the racist is but not until you LISTEN and compare the two !!!

YD we all have racial bagage but we aren't running for pesident either.
Let me ask you this, Is Rev. wright the type of man you want to have access to our president.
Also Rev. Wright is just one of the racist preachers who have contact with Obama. I am convenced their is no way Obama doesn't harbor the same feelings.

Well here is another "NON AMERICAN" Rev "WRONG" Wright. If he thinks the country is'nt worth living in why is he still here, Stirring up his parishioners with hate, its no wonder its difficult to get along with other people, get rid of these people and maybe there will be peace in this great land.
Oh and take Jessie the Jackson and Al "the weasel Sharpton with you Rev Wright, Oh and leave your Social Security check here for the poor.

I would not want a racist bigot of any type to have "undue" influence on the President. That's up to the President.

Into this category I place Wright, Sharpton, Jackson, Farrakhan, Robertson, Hagee, Falwell (rest his soul).

I was SHOCKED that the venom spewed from the lips of Wright, the "famous black theologian". I don't live in that neighborhood so it is my ignorance I suppose.

The "comedy" of Imus was so harmful to those girls that as a father, I think he got what he deserved. Anybody messes with my baby girl and I'd rip his heart out.

I have relatives that utter disgusting hatred but I'm stuck with them being my cousins and uncles. Wright is an "uncle" to Obama and his good qualities must atone for his failings.

I still don't see the "smoking gun" which would cause me to condemn Obama as a racist. A black guy with an agenda, yes...but don't we all.

Go back to your skin head meeting Frank.

Nappy headed is a cruel insult to 12 girls who did nothing to deserve an insult...Imus is a stupid pig (much as you are) who profits from his insults on the air.

Wright is a stupid bigot (as you are), who brings shame to reasonable black folks...Obama to mention one.

So if you think Imus got what he deserved what do you think Wright deserves??? Obama says there is no way he can distance himself from Wright because he is like an UNCLE to me.Imus made ONE stupid statement trying to be funny Wright has been doing his spouting for TWENTY YEARS!!!
Now would you really want a President with this type of spiritial advisor.I call my grandaughter nappy head when she gets up in the morning and I call her sister a little monkey am I being racist NO.There is a BIG difference beteen trying to be funny and preaching pure hate.It all has the nasty smell of political correctness which really needs to go away.

Insults are the name of the game. And last I checked we still had the freedom of speech. Or is there a fine line that race divides? And as far as your Obama's speech goes, Anyone who bought any of that nonsense I have a piece of land I'd like to sell you:) I'll give ya a great deal! No Really!:)

I consider myself a conservative republican, who gets annoyed with double standard positions. As a pastor, I serve in many areas of ministry and I am governed by a moral compass. I feel the world would be a better place if all people would be more mindful of implementing and acting in a moral way.
