Gang, I just got back from the store and I have found another case of the "Incredible Shrinking Quantities".  It appears the families beloved "Take Two" Chocolate and Vanilla Ice Cream has been reduced in size!  Yeppers, we are now down to to 1.5 quarts!!!!  I guess these companies think we are idiots and won't notice their latest shrinkage.....  Now, you all know, I have never claimed to be our blogging communities resident math professor, but unless I have become totally senile, didn't it use to be a half gallon of Ice Cream?  Lets see, memory tells me that a half gallon = 2 quarts.  Somewhere along the way it dropped to 1.75 quarts.  Now we are at an all time great 1.5 quarts!!!!!!

Better get your coupons out the next time you go to the store because your going to need them....  Look, I don't mean to be nit picky here, but this is a joke.

Don't look now, Pastor. But have you bought a five pound bag of sugar lately?

Betcha haven't. There is no such thing anymore. They're all FOUR pound.

I wonder when soft drink companies (and beer) are going to downsize. How about a 10.8 ounce can of beer? The manufacturer can pocket the ten percent reduction.

I'm afraid that it's the way of the world - LESS FOR MORE.

I have to say, I missed that one! I buy the Florida Crystals Raw Sugar.... Hey I just looked at it and it's a 3lb platic jug thing...... Paying out the W**!!# man.....

I was sitting here after I wrote the blog and thought to myself, gee, what are they going to do, start making shorter tooth brushes and pencils next???? Just bought some.. lmbo

Yep, the brewsters are going to be in trouble in about 5 years. They will be down to a 5 ounce can of beer.

Won't that be the silliest looking thing???? And those little bags of chips, you will be lucky to get 3 1/2 chips.....

Tho, I can't complain at this moment. The kid & I headed all the way down to Target today for a Mommy & Daughter SpendingSpree! With lunch. I could resist no longer...... I did notice that even cheapo shower curtains have gone up in price. It didn't stop us tho. That's what credit cards are for ;) I remember not that long ago that those excursions were much more frequent and didn't cost as much.

Sign of the times is right. But everyone's jumping on the bandwagon. Here's another one:

The wife and I eat Honey Bunches of Oats cereal. I used to buy it at Wal-Mart (although I try to NOT shop there). They used to sell a 21 ounce box for $2.27. Then, all of a sudden, it was a 19 ounce box (10 percent less product) and the price had gone up to $2.50 (a 10 percent increase). So you're now paying ten percent more for ten percent less.

Good thing that I'm making that much more. Yeah, RIGHT!

I would consider myself a conservative republican, who gets annoyed with double standard positions. I am a childrens pastor so I am governed by a moral compass. I feel the world would be a better place if all people would be more mindful of implementing and acting in a moral way.
