Calm Before The Storm

Is it just me or have things quieted down considerably on the political front since Miss Hillary said adios and we can just concentrate on the two amigos John and Obama ?   I know a break in the rhetoric is natural at this time,  but the change is really noticeable to me and it can't just be that the woman so many love to , well, criticize , is no longer out front taking flak from the right and the left....( not to mention that husband of hers has quieted down ) . So now there's all this high minded talk about running a campaign of issues, of refusing to ' go negative', of having real discussions about the future. Sounds good...I'm all for it.. but at the moment  i'm more interested in what they can do to get gas prices lower than mortgage prices.. right now.. not in January of 2009 or 2010 or never.. don't hear  a lot about that from either of the boys... ... So... gear up.. it's the calm before the storm.. anybody who thinks this isn't going to get down and dirty and nasty is crazy.   6 dollar gas anyone ?

Yes I am glad it isnt 24-7 anymore... but I have JUST got to get a job as a Senator.... Hillary is off for a month they say. I would love to get a job and never show up for 2 years and then spend 2 years trying to get another job. Then when I dont get that other job, I am so stressed I need a month off before I can come back to my job. Hillary

Didn't you hear? Obama has solved the gas crisis. His program is designed to raise taxes on the petroleum products until we can't afford them, then as supplies increase because we can't afford to buy them, the prices will fall. No word yet on why that oil won't be sold to China or India, but one thing's for sure, I'm a "racist" just for bringing it up.

Looks like you got your storm with the Dobson Obama conflict.

Rev Wright was right when he said that Liberation Theology was under attack. And rightly so since we really do need to discuss race religion and politics in this country. If we do we'll solve the drug problem by default... even the drug Alcohol will fall prey since the bar fly rhetoric of the blue collar workers will become less and less appealing.

I prefer "if you love someone set the free" to "I got friends in low places". But here comes the gas crisis and what the right won't tell you is that they allowed the left to protect the environment because wells have bottoms...

Greetings from St Paul.. tonite is the last nite of the GOP convention.... seems like we've been here for a longggggggggggg time.. gonna be huge tonite... McCain the man on Thurs... should be exciting speech, my friends. Going to big events like the conventions one of the best parts of being a news reporter here at Fox 11.. been in LA since '83... aside from the traffic it's awesome.. why wouldn't you want to live here ? I have a great job.. the people here are fun... I get to do what we call ''long form'' stories, investigations, half hour specials.. we can really get into some serious issues here... ( no not Britney). Someday i hope to meet Jillian. Later.
