"John McCain has done more to hurt the Republican Party than any official I know of?-Tom Delay

I hope more will listen to Tom Delay? John McCain promises no change in the current direction we are going in. He has declared publicly that he will commit troops for the next 100 years in Iraq if needed, which justifies the fact that he is a war monger! How can we establish a democracy for cavemen, how can we instill logic in different languages? WE CANT! I am not sure anyone has told McCain that Viet Nam is over, stop ducking for Charley, you are free now. McCain the war cost tax payers a trillion dollars last year, that is not chump change, and it cost something more valuable than money! Something considered ourt most valuable resource, our children, our heroes, our military. We are heroes off to fight and die for the freedom of another country, not ours? We are free, let them find there founding fathers, and fight for their freedom. We earned it here, let them sort there own problems out. The war is breaking our economy, we simply can not afford the war. Bush came into the office with the country in recession, and now he will be leaving it, with the economy in the same way. McCain wants to continue the war, no matter how much it cost, and no matter how many heroes.  Even if it is your child or grandchild.

This is a must see! Tom Delay explains some of the many faults of McCain?

This video is called "The Cost of War"

This is the message was not written by me, but written by the one who produced the included video. I do agree with the video and the message.  I am not some anti-war hippie either! I support our military! Many of my friends are in the military, and many of my family members as well.   This is NOT an anti-military video. The job of our military is to do everything that is asked of them, and they have, no questions asked. The job of our government officials is to use the military wisely for our safety and protection. And it is the job of us, the citizens, to always question and scrutinize the decisions of our leaders. Anyone who feels it is okay for a government to lie to its people or it is wrong for the people to question their government, does not understand or value democracy.

I have had friends and family who volunteered to serve in each of the last three wars. I am the proud son of a Marine who volunteered to serve in Vietnam. One of my best friends from high school is currently on tour in Iraq, and a member of my extended family just returned. My respect for all of them is immeasurable.

I am not some "anti-war liberal hippie" who thinks all war is wrong. Our military serves a vital purpose and there are wars that need to be fought. This one however is a mistake. This war is obviously not about 9-11 or terrorists because Iraq had nothing to do with either of those. This war is obviously not about removing WMDs from hostile leaders because we KNOW of many who actually have them yet we don't invade their countries. And this war is obviously not about freeing people from repressive leaders since again, there are many many more of those who we apparently have no intention of overthrowing by force.

If you think THIS war is justified, fine, that is your opinion and this is a free country. But calling a person unpatriotic for questioning their government's motives and tactics shows you don't value the freedoms and responsibilities that have made our nation great.

This war is estimated to cost 2.4 trillion dollars. How could the resources wasted on this war have been better used? Post your video response.

So what do you think about McCain? I think he is a war monger and promises no change in the horrible direction we are currently going in, the only change he offers is a different name pulling the strings, but that is my opinion. So what is yours? Can you leave a comment regarding your feelings about McCain, if so then thank you in advance?

The mainstream media does not want to cover Ron Paul, you know, the truth doesn't sell as well as crap like tmz? Then you turn around and wonder why your children follow the lead of morons? The fact of the matter is life is not about the "Will of The People," otherwise you would hear more of Ron Paul on the news, and not the fake Mormon, or Jokeabee who always retorts with script from the Bible, where did it say release Rapist for a second chance? The Ron Paul fanatics are the majority of the public, at least the ones that have actually taken a minute to google him, he is the most googled candidate ever, fact. Yesterday, as a
Reunion of the "Boston Tea Party" of 1773, but yesterday was titled the "Libertea Party?" Private donors, citizens, not large corporations, people, like you, and me, and the next guy, came together and forked over $100, and please don't tell me you missed the blimp? Go to Youtube.com, and type "Apologize Ron Paul Tea," the user name who produced the video is 2007TeaParty, it is a must see, it will bring tears to your eyes, that is if you have a heart and care about others, life is too short to only care about yourself, don't take the second step before the first, you might trip, in other words finish today, before you get consumed with tommorrow, and "think about those who will never see tommorrow, and be happy that your alive"-Supervillains. I don't know who is going to be President, but is absurd, that Ron Paul is only through grassroots, but it is working, it is proving that he is abolish hatred, people are coming together from ever ethnicity, did I spell that right? Oh well. The amount of money he raised was the most in the history of any Presidential amount, astronomical, and once again, it was from private donors, not large corporations, this is the Love Revolution, and the last time I checked Love was a good thing? Don't we have enough hate and violence in this world already?" I think so, but I think, do you? If you would like to see Iraq War Heros then goto youtube and type "Eli Isreal," that is a patriot, less than two weeks from returning from Iraq, he exploits the truth, don't believe me, see for yourself, he is very well spoken, and his temper might even be hotter than mine? Now back to the topic, the amount of money raised at the "Libertea Party?"

RON PAUL BEATS HILLARY, Ron Paul raised roughly $6.4 million dollars ($6,427,596 to be exact) in one day, that is beating both Kerry's ($5.7 Mil) and Hillary's ($6.2 Mil) world record of the most funds raised in 24 hours, congrats Ron Paul! Lets hope the lamestream covers this? If you would like to know more about the truth, I know nothing compared to Stephen Du Buis, I am only a pupil, and he is a master? That is if you would like to hear the truth from a supporter who knows everything, and is not a crazed Ron Paul fan that is out of control, but oh, well that is the only way the get covered, you can't silence the Will of The People! They told everyone the record couldn't be broken, who, the same people that will not cover him on the news! Do not accept no for an answer, you will never know if you don't try? This is just another catalyst in the Love Revolution, and guess who has blimps for the upcoming Superbowl, please Lord, let the Bucs win?

"RON PAUL IS THE GREATEST MAN ON EARTH!" IF YOU DON'T LIKE TAXES, AND YOU LIKE THE TRUTH, THEN TAKE A MINUTE TO CHECK HIM OUT, YOU MIGHT BE IMPRESSED, THAT IS IF YOU DO IT WITH AN OPEN MIND?

REP. BETTER THAN DEM., DEM. BETTER THAN REP. THAT IS A BUNCH OF POO! THAT IS LIKE SAYING COKE IS BETTER THAN PEPSI, OR PEPSI IS BETTER THAN COKE, WELL I LIKE GATORADE IN THAT CASE! IT IS BETTER FOR YOU ANYWAYS?

This is an article my buddy Jack Herer wrote, the original article is published in MedHeadlines. Medicinal Marijuana should be accepted, it is a crime that M.D.'s are not allowed to prescribe what medicine they feel is the safest? How can a politician undermine a doctors vast knowledge of medicine? Why does a M.D., go to school to study medicine for God knows how many years to learn about the hazards and benefits of medicine? They can't! The government makes too much money off of marijuana being illegal, you know kickbacks, perks, etc..., google how much money George Bush has made off of Pharm. companies, it is public info., don't believe me. Marijuana is a schedule 1 narcotic, which means it has no medicinal value? If this were true, then why would the government make synthetic versions like marinol, a poor substitute. They are undermining you, yes you, the one that is reading this? If marijuana were legal tommorrow, the majority of the people who actually reading this, would still not be using? Prohibition allows crime to happen, criminals or "Employees of Marijuana Prohibition," will sell to your kids or any others that have cash, where  a responsible Doctor will not! Is it me, or does it make sense to take medicine off the streets as much as possible, and put it in the hands of Bona Fide M.D.'s, who will not give it to our most valuable resource? I know a lot of Doctors, and they would not prescribe marijuana to your children, and the one bad apple that were to do so, well he would be punished, contributing to a minor, we have enough laws in place! We simply can't afford prohibition! It is you and I tax payers that pay for the fight, over $7.7 billion anually, where if taxed and regulated it would generate almost $14 billion, I don't know about you, but that is not chump change to me? That would be a $21 billion dollar homerun swing in the right direction for the economy! It does not mean go out and get high, there are enough pot heads funding the livelyhood of drug dealers, while our tax dollars are being wasted! People will always use marijuana, legal or not, so why not cash in? I don't like looking at the taxes taken out of my checks, do you? Marijuana prohibition laws are now going on 71 years, they are archaic, and were originally based upon racism, until the Controlled Substance act of 1970, then the laws were reformed for financial gain, not compassion obviously, patients don't belong in cages, violent criminals and waste of DNA, pedophiles do! You can beat an addiction, but you can't beat a conviction!

From: Jack Herer Date: Dec 10, 2007 1:02 PM Monday, 10 December, 2007 07:37 (CST) Cops Busted Over Medical Marijuana Laws Med Headlines - The Larimer County Drug Task Force in Colorado has been given a court order to return marijuana plants and related paraphernalia they illegally confiscated in August 2006 from a couple using the stuff for medical purposes. They’re also facing a lawsuit seeking damages “in excess of $100,000” for the plants that didn’t survive the ordeal and for the glass pipes, bongs, and growing equipment they broke while it was in their possession. James and Lisa Masters are caregivers who grow the herb to treat their patients. During the illegal seizure of property, 39 plants, about 8 ounces of loose marijuana, growing equipment, and several bongs and pipes were taken. According to the Colorado State Constitution, Article XVIII, Section 14, any property relating to the medical use of marijuana is not to be “harmed, neglected, injured, or destroyed” if confiscated by state or local law enforcement agencies. In fact, the law states that any such property taken from a patient or primary caregiver must be returned immediately. The Larimer County Drug Task Force did not follow these laws so the Masters took the issue to court. They were represented by Brian Vicente of Sensible Colorado, a group advocating “a system where drug use becomes a health issue, not a crime issue.” In November, Colorado Chief District Judge James Hiatt ruled that the law enforcement officers violated the law by seizing the Masters’ property and ordered it returned to them immediately. Charges against the Masters for possession and cultivation were dropped. When the couple went to police headquarters to retrieve their illegally confiscated property, they found dying plants and broken equipment. Their suit seeking monetary compensation for lost property against the drug task force is expected to be filed next week.

Educate, don't incarcerate, legalize and medicate! Tax and regulation is just common sense, do you have any? If you don't like paying taxes, maybe it wouldn't hurt to think outside the box a little on this one, I promise it doesn't hurt to think! If you want to keep crime away from your children, then put the medicine in the hands of doctors, not drug dealers! The last kicker is, now indoor grow operations are moving to more rural areas, to blend in, and it is working, sure you here of the grow house busted on the news, that is one out of ten that are still operating? I think the government should be going after the meth labs, that is the root of all evil! Those are criminals, those are the threat, not the potheads, the meth heads, and the meth labs, crazy is not powerful enough of a word to describe these monsters! A giant pile of fire ants is more dangerous than a marijuana plant, a Red Rose is also more dangerous than a marijuana plant, it  has sharp thorns! There are no recorded deaths from direct use of marijuana, that is according to my buddy Lester Grinspoon, he is just a Medical Doctor from this school called Harvard, maybe you have heard of it? If you want to learn about the private money making industry behind prohibition of marijuana, then check out the movie, "The Union: the business behind getting high." A must see if you like the truth, do you?

Pinellas County Republican Executive Committee
Tony DiMatteo (Chairman)

PUBLIC NOTICE OF FORTHCOMING FELONY COMPLAINT by Ted Lee Gunderson, Private Criminal Investigator FBI Senior Special Agent in Charge (retired) Gunderson Professional Investigations This cheating (i.e., rigging) at the recent Pinellas County GOP straw poll debate by Pinellas County GOP staff, Romney's
Campaign staff and others--including his unscrupulous supporters--not only constitutes felony fraud and conspiracy, it constitutes an outrageous abuse of the public trust that must not be tolerated by the American people. Former FBI
Division Chief, Ted Gunderson, who is an ardent 'Ron Paul for President' supporter, has decided to investigate this criminal act further and file formal felony affidavits against all known and yet unknown perpetrators to this criminal conspiracy. Another felony was perpetrated when REC Chairman, Tony DiMatteo verbally threatened to ?hurt? a Ron Paul supporter; now a felony crime victim-witness.
The forthcoming felony complaints will be posted @ http://www.1-free-dvd.com and/or http://www.tedgunderson.com ...then... submitted to the a Pinellas county grand jury and local prosecutor where the straw poll vote fraud took place and also to the federal government/Department of Justice.

Fortunately, we have the irrefutable film evidence of the villains being caught red-handed in the act of felony fraud and conspiracy-collusion to rig the outcome of this vitally important straw poll. Does Mitt Romney condone or otherwise support this kind of criminal conduct? Will he fire the culprits or at least apologize for the crimes of his dishonest staff and supporters? Now every straw poll purportedly won by Romney must be investigated for similar crimes perpetrated against Dr. Ron Paul, the other GOP candidates and the American public. Those Ron Paul supporters who retaliated by going back to vote multiple times should not have repaid "evil with evil" since they, too, are subject to felony prosecution in like manner as
the Romney conspirators. Ted Gunderson does not believe that Dr. Paul would condone multiple-ballots-voting just because the Romney gang did it first. This kind of cheating and felony fraud is outrageous, unjust, immoral, unethical and un-
American!! Felony criminal complaints are forthcoming!!! Ted Gunderson requests that everyone help us publicize these felonies and get this email out to everyone you know. Spread the word that Romney's staff and unethical GOP personnel are
engaging in outrageous felony crimes and these crooks need to be brought to justice immediately. Prison terms for these criminals will send a clear message to unrighteous Americans that this kind of felony "vote rigging" will not be tolerated!
Fellow Americans who wish to have their names added to the forthcoming felony complaint should email:
Justice.Ranger@yahoo.com and provide your first & last name
and complete mailing address. Just write: FELONY FRAUD
COMPLAINT in the subject line. The final criminal complaint
will be published at www.1-free-dvd.com

Are you tax dollars paying to arrest the right people? I don't think so if violent crime is continuing to rise.

According to recently released statistics from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), marijuana arrests reached an all-time high last year. This news comes despite a rise in violent crime for the second consecutive year. Yet, last year alone, 829,625 Americans were charged with marijuana offenses according to the recently released FBI Uniform Crime Statistics. Eighty-nine percent of those charges were merely for simple possession.

This begs the question: shouldn’t law enforcement focus on the rising violent crime rate instead of wasting precious resources and manpower going after people for marijuana?

Close to 100 million Americans—including more than half of those between the ages of 18 and 50—have tried marijuana at least once. Military and police recruiters often have no choice but to ignore past marijuana use by job seekers. In fact, the FBI recently announced it is changing its policy of not hiring people with a history of marijuana or other illegal drug use because the policy disqualifies so many people the agency cannot fill needed positions.

Marijuana prohibition is unique among American criminal laws. No other law is both enforced so widely and harshly and yet deemed unnecessary by such a substantial portion of the populace. Millions of Americans have never been arrested or convicted of any criminal offense except this. Enforcing marijuana laws costs an estimated $10-15 billion in direct costs alone.

Punishments range widely across the country, from modest fines to a few days in jail to many years in prison. Prosecutors often contend that no one goes to prison for simple possession—but tens, perhaps hundreds, of thousands of people on probation and parole are locked up each year because their urine tested positive for marijuana or because they were picked up in possession of a joint. Alabama currently locks up people convicted three times of marijuana possession for 15 years to life. There are probably— no firm estimates exist—100,000 Americans behind bars tonight for one marijuana offense or another. And even for those who don’t lose their freedom, simply being arrested can be traumatic and costly. A parent’s marijuana use can be the basis for taking away her children and putting them in foster care. Foreign-born residents of the U.S. can be deported for a marijuana offense no matter how long they have lived in this country, no matter if their children are U.S. citizens, and no matter how long they have been legally employed. More than half the states revoke or suspend driver’s licenses of people arrested for marijuana possession even though they were not driving at the time of arrest.

With violent crime on the rise, arresting marijuana users at such alarming rates does nothing to make Americans feel safer.

It is your money you should care! Your opinion counts but not if you don't give it. I support Law Enforcement, but not some of the laws in my country, but I still abide by them! If you are unhappy with a law, then write to your local congressmen or congresswomen,  like Kathy Castor in Florida.  Don't physically fight the law, you will lose!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you want to fight a law implaced, then write! Is it me or should non-violent offenders be the ones we are going after? While we are releasing violent offenders for a second chance to better themselves, does that seem backwards or is it just me?

U.S. CBO estimates $2.4 trillion long-term war costs Wed Oct 24, 2007 1:29pm EDT WASHINGTON (Reuters)

- The U.S. wars in Iraq and Afghanistan could cost taxpayers a total of $2.4 trillion by 2017 when counting the huge interest costs because combat is being financed with borrowed money, according to a study released on Wednesday. With President George W. Bush indicating a large contingent of U.S. troops likely will be engaged in Iraq and Afghanistan for many years to come, the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office estimated the total tab for the wars from 2001 through 2017. CBO estimated that interest costs alone from 2001-2017 could total more than $700 billion. So far, Congress has given Bush $604 billion for the two wars, with about $412 billion spent in Iraq, according to CBO, which is Congress' in-house budget analyst. In Iraq alone, the United States is spending about $11 billion a month, with costs escalating. Bush is seeking another $196 billion for combat in Iraq and Afghanistan through September 30 and Congress is expected to debate that request over the next few months. CBO estimated that between 2008 and 2017, the wars could cost slightly more than $1 trillion, assuming overall troop strength is cut to 75,000 by 2013. Currently, there are about 170,000 U.S. troops in Iraq and another 26,000 in Afghanistan. Finance charges for the money already spent on the war will total $415 billion from 2001 to 2017, according to CBO. For the next decade, "interest outlays would increase by a total of $290 billion over that 10-year period," CBO told the House Budget Committee, which is reviewing long-term war costs. "To put it all on our credit cards with no accountability, with no plan to pay for it, I think is the height of irresponsibility," said Rep. James McGovern, a Massachusetts Democrat who serves on the budget panel and is an outspoken war critic. "It will be just one more toxic legacy of this disastrous war we will have to leave our kids to clean up." With national elections about a year away and public discontent with the Iraq war running deep, Democrats are highlighting the huge costs of the Iraq war as they seek $22 billion more than Bush wants for domestic social programs such as health care and education. Bush has vowed to veto the added funding. CBO estimated that of the $2.4 trillion long-term price tag for the war, about $1.9 trillion of that would be spent on Iraq.

Possible Tumor Growth Inhibition:       “There is recent evidence from cell culture systems and animal models that 9-  tetrahydrocannabinol [THC], the principal psychoactive ingredient in marijuana, and other  cannabinoids may inhibit the growth of some tumors by modulating key signaling  pathways leading to growth arrest and cell death, as well as inhibiting tumor  angiogenesis...antitumoral associations have been observed for several types of  malignancies including brain, prostate, thyroid, lung, and breast.”  — Tashkin, D., et al., “Marijuana Use and the Risk of Lung and Upper Aerodigestive  Tract Cancers: Results of a Population-Based Case-Control Study,” Cancer  Epidemiology Biomarkers & Prevention, October 2006
Essentially, this means that cannabis may be useful in reducing the negative affects of tumors in the human body.  With further study, scientists may be able to find ways of using THC to improve the health of people suffering from cancer.  Of course, any such study is blocked by marijuana's status as a schedule 1 drug.  Access to marijuana for research purposes is controlled by the DEA and they consistently block any attempts to study it's medical efficacy.  .
Promising Anti-Tumor Effects Observed:       "A strong and statistically significant anti-tumor effect was observed ... In particular,  for a highly malignant human breast carcinoma cell line ... cannabidiol and a  cannabidiol-rich extract counteract cell growth both in vivo and in vitro as well as tumor  metastasis in vivo."  — Ligresti, Alessia, et al., "Anti-Tumor Activity of Plant Cannabinoids with  Emphasis on the Effect of Cannabidiol on Human Breast Carcinoma," Journal of  Pharmacology And Experimental Therapeutics, May 25, 2006
This simply means that marijuana's anti-tumor effect is particularly well supported in studies dealing with breast cancer treatment.

Marinol is a synthetic form of THC, it is a poor substitute. The information below comes from this MyfoxTampaBay.com, under health.  The fact that marinol is used validates the fact that marijuana has medicinal values! So why make a man made form of it? Well could it be bottom line? Money? Greed? Surely it could not be based upon compassion. The evidence is there, and has been for so long. The population is overwhelmingly in support of allowing doctors to prescribe, yet the DEA always hinders research, why? Taxes pay for the DEA. Your taxes! Do you think patients suffering from terminal illness and other serious illness should be denied medical marijuana when prescribed by a doctor? Here are some facts about marinol, a poor substitute!

Marinol dronabinol

By UNIMED Pharm What side effects are possible with this medication?

A side effect is an unwanted response to a medication when it is taken in normal doses. A side effect may be mild or severe, temporary or permanent, but does not occur in everyone. Not everyone will experience side effects, and which side effects a person experiences cannot be anticipated.

The following side effects have been reported by at least 1% of people taking this medication. If you develop any of these side effects (or any other side effects not listed here) or they change in intensity, speak to your doctor or pharmacist for advice on managing them and on the risks and benefits of the medication.

  • abdominal pain
  • anxiety
  • confusion
  • dizziness
  • drowsiness
  • euphoria, heightened awareness or giddiness
  • flushing of face
  • nausea
  • nervousness
  • paranoid reactions
  • racing heart rate
  • unusual tiredness or weakness
  • vomiting
Click here to learn about serious side effects that can potentially occur with any medication. These examples are provided for information purposes only and are not meant to be exhaustive. Always consult your doctor for sound medical advice specific to your particular medication and treatment. Are there any other precautions or warnings for this medication?

Be sure to inform your doctor of all your medical conditions before you begin taking a medication. Some conditions can affect how you should take this medication.

Medical conditions: Dronabinol should be taken with caution by people who have or had the following conditions:

  • alcohol abuse or addiction
  • drug abuse or dependence
  • heart conditions
  • mental health disorders

Occupational hazards: You should not drive or engage in activities requiring unimpaired judgment and coordination while using this medication.

Pregnancy: This medication should not be used during pregnancy unless the benefits outweigh the risks. If you become pregnant while taking this medication, stop taking it immediately and call your doctor.

Breast-feeding: This medication passes into breast milk. If taking dronabinol is considered essential, stop breast-feeding.

Heart disease: The safety and effectiveness of dronabinol have not been established for children.

Now why can't medical marijuana be used as a medicine? When it doesn't have these harsh side effects listed above. Why does Florida keep undermining the FDA, it has been suggesting for ten years as of this June to allow medicinal marijuana in Florida? Why does the state allow the DEA who are not doctors, determine what a doctor can prescribe? Scientific evidence has proven the benefits from a medical standpoint, time and time again! Should Doctors be denied prescribing it and should medicinal patients be denied of marijuana as a medicine?

I forgot to list some side effects of marijuana, here are some facts:

-92 year old Kathryn Johnston who was so fearful that she never left her home and would only open her door after friends who placed her groceries on the front porch had left, was killed by an Atlanta SWAT team last year. An erroneous tip from an informant was enough for the Atlanta Police Department to invade her home. Police have since admitted to lying to obtain a search warrant and to planting drugs in her home after killing her.

-Rev. Acelyne Williams, 75 of Boston, died of a heart attack as a SWAT team broke into his home. Police actually had the wrong address.

-Cheryl Lynn Noel, a mom who was shot by police for picking up her legally registered handgun. She went for her gun to defend herself after a SWAT team in the middle of the night, broke into her Baltimore, MD home. Police stormed her house that night because they claim to have found marijuana seeds in the family's trash can.

WELCOME TO THE POLICE STATES OF AMERICA.

BILL OF RIGHTS, VOID WHERE PROHIBITED

WAKE UP AMERICA BEFORE THE MAN COMES AND KICKS YOUR DOOR DOWN WITH A NO KNOCK WARRANT, SHOOTS YOUR LOVED ONE AND THEN TELLS YOU THEY ARE AT THE WRONG HOUSE DUE TO A CONFIDENTIAL INFORMANT MISLEADING THEM. SORRY. THIS IS NOT FICTION. THIS IS AMERICA WHERE WE HAVE THE LOWEST POPULATION BUT THE HIGEST NUMBER OF INCARCERATED CITIZENS. STAND UP NOW OR YOU WON'T BE ABLE TO STAND AT ALL SOON.

The most dangerous thing about marijuana is jail and arrest!

Dear Mr. Johnson:

Thank you for contacting me regarding the regulation of medical marijuana. I appreciate hearing from you and would like to take this opportunity to respond.

On May 9, 2007, I supported and the Senate passed the Food and Drug Administration Revitalization Act (S. 1082) by a vote of 93 to 1. This legislation includes language that would require State-legalized medical marijuana to be subject to the full regulatory requirements of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The FDA requires all new drugs to submit a risk evaluation and mitigation strategy, which includes approval of professional labeling and requires reporting adverse events involving the drug. Currently, the Senate and the House of Representatives are reconciling the differences between S. 1082 and the Food and Drug Administration Amendments Act (H.R. 2900).

As this issue moves forward in the 110th Congress, please rest assured that I will keep your thoughtful comments in mind. Again, thank you for sharing your views with me. If you have any additional questions or comments, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Sincerely,

Mel Martinez
United States Senator

I will continue to exchange emails with  Mr. Martinez and post them here. Maybe others should write him as well. I support medical marijuana, both of my parents are old, and the legal medicine they take, to put it nicely, sucks! All of their doctors have suggested off the record, that medical marijuana is safer and does not have the harsh side effects of legal man made drugs that are killing my parents. My parents refuse to break the law, they chose to take the legal drugs that put their liver into overdrive. These drugs make my father who has cancer, irritable, and not himself.

If marijuana does not have any medicinal values, then why are there synthetic man made pills like marinol. Marinol is a poor substitute! It has many side effects. I guess maybe the pharm. companies are fooling the public, they are not fooling me, what about you?

Marijuana growers in Florida could soon face stiffer penalties, especially those who grow pot in homes near where children live.

A proposed state law specifically targets hydroponic marijuana, which can have a 15% higher potency level then field grown marijuana.
Bill McCollum, Florida’s Attorney General says this breed of marijuana is typically grown indoors which makes it tougher for police to locate and more of a danger for the communities and families around it.
"If you rate this the percentage of THC in marijuana the traditional marijuana plants is about 8 - 10%. These are 20% to 30% THC. Now this is a very serious matter as far as what we see going on with these plants. The damage they do with a single plant the amount of power and danger that's in a single plant and that is why this legislation is really important. It's a huge growing problem and you can't let the laws lag behind the legal enforcement in this area."

In 2006, police found cannabis growing in houses in 41 of Florida's 67 counties. This makes Florida second in the nation in regards to residences used to grow marijuana.

Does Florida have to much emphasis on marijuana laws? I think we have a much bigger problem, perverts hurting kids, yet they do less time.  I don't want either one next door to me, but I would rather a non-violent pot head growing plants,  than a  violent pervert near my kids!

Thank you for your comments
