News coming out of Baghdad says that Al-masri was captured.....this is a good thing...bring on the waterboards..I don't know why the mainstream media hasn't picked this up..I haven't heard a peep tonight. Would you like to share a memory or shout out a blessing to your Mother? Feel free to do so. My mom has been gone from this earth for 13 years (it seems like yesterday). She was the most fun loving mother of 8 children. One memory that crossed my mind the other day was a funny one.  My mother loved primitive camping. She was the planner. She had everything just so-so and the rest of us just followed her orders while we had fun.  One weekend we went on a campout and canoeing trip down the Buffalo River in Arkansas.  She had the trip planned out, who sat in what canoe, what was in what cooler, when we would take our breaks to picnic and so forth.  The canoe my Dad was in tipped over.  One little blue cooler went floating down the river faster than the canoe. My mom was screaming at my dad,  "Get the cooler, don't let it get away?"  My dad swam and swam until he was exhausted but he retrieved the cooler.  When he got it back to mom he opened it to see if everything inside was OK.  Inside he found it full of wet washcloths, all labeled for each of us, tidily folded and inside individual baggies.  My dad had a cow, he thought they were his sandwiches for lunch.  He always told the story of how he survived WWII but almost died saving a cooler full of washrags.  I miss my Mom.

If anything good came out of Katrina it would be the election of Bobby Jindal for the Gov.

I listened to his speech before the NPC luncheon and he has been making the circuit of a few talk shows and interviews here and there and he is going to get things done in LA. I am quite impressed by commitment and follow-up of his promises in restoring  NOLA as well as redefining and reestablishing LA as a prominent State in the Union.

LA has a bright future. It has many many things going for it to boost its own revenue as well as boost the economy nationwide.  Commercial Fishing, sport fishing, oil, agriculture to name a few. 

LA will undoubtedly become a State that many will soon be looking at for tourism, retirement, higher education and small and corporate business.  I predict, with the leadership of Bobby Jindal and others like him we will be amazed in the next 10 years of the transformation.

Let us hope that he does not waste his talent and give in to Mccain if he is asked to be on the ticket as VP.

HOLOCAUST REMBRANCE DAY, YOM HASHOAH, WE WILL NEVER FORGET!

Another horrific tornado strikes and causes loss of life, catastrophic property damage and sends many victims to hospitals.  This is another one of many tornadoes in a year that has brought this kind of destruction in other states.  Then you have the fires last year and those fire prone areas are striking up again out west. There have been rumblings of earthquakes that could wake up any day and be quite destructive also.  After you take in all of these acts of nature I have one question.  Why are the residents of Florida the only ones that the insurance companies screw?  Would my sister in Dallas or my sister in Kansas City or my sister in Dayton have just about the same odds of losing their home to a tornado as I do to a hurricane?  Why do they pay less than $900.00 a year for homeowners insurance and I pay over $3000.00?  Something is not right here. I asked that question when I was canceled and had to go with the Citizens and the agents couldn't answer that.  I think it is time to stir up the insurance nitwits in Tallahassee again.  I think Charlie has forgotten about us.

This is the most blatant disrespect for the hundreds of thousands of Americans who were killed and wounded in WWII.  My father (rest his soul) was one of the first casualties of this battle. He was lucky. He was only severely wounded and wore his scars all the rest of his days and never bragged, never talked about it, it was a silent sacrifice that was his own story that he rarely shared with anyone.  My mother was the one who would tell us the reason my father had only a huge indention left where his left buttock cheek and his upper thigh was before he was wounded. He carried the scars and shrapnel all of his life and earned the purple heart. While he lay in a pool of blood for over 24 hours packing sand into his wound to keep from bleeding to death, he could hear the cries of those wounded far worse than he and as far as he could see Marines lay dead, dying and wounded all around him.   Mr. Gore you should be so proud that the media is playing up your SCAM to have more importance than the lives of young brave sons, brothers and husbands who died on Iwo Jima.

 

Can you believe  that Bridgette Bardot (tell me you don't know who she is) is being tried for the fifth time in Paris for the crime of 'inciting racial hatred' for her remarks towards the Muslims?  She said the, " Muslim community is destroying our country."  So far she has had to pay over 15,000.00 euros in fines. They said they were going to seek prison time in the latest arrest.  The former sex kitten is pretty spry at over 70 years of age.  I like her spunk.  Boogey stay away from France, if they get ahold of you  they will lock you up for eternity

Jimmah, mush- mouth, Carta has earned YD's "Dumbo Award" for the day.(cmon YD, you can pass it off from GWB for one day) He and Roselyn laid a floral wreath at the resting place of Arafat.  The guy is a traitor. Heck, I don't think any US Official even attended the funeral of this terroristic rat, but Jimmah done us proud.  Did Hamas give up taking hostages? A blog site, (Atlas Shrugs) is reporting that investigators are really looking into the financial workings of Obama's Church.  It seems lots of donations were taken and paid directly to the church for Katrina Victims ...yet no donations in the Church's name show up on any donor list. Strange? Now, we know how they are financing the 1 million dollar, 10,000sq ft house they are building for the bigoted preacherman.

Did you know that the Texas religious cult who are led by those sex perverts get millions in welfare and healthcare funds every year along with federal funds for land loans, and they have a federal defense contract for something they build for the government? That is the last straw...on that note I am going to go out tomorrow and start my own religious commune and become filthy rich. They don't want the state or feds to interfere with their weird practices yet they take every dime of government money and use the government programs to survive.  HYPOCRITES. 

Obama meets with the Jewish community in PA and reassures them he understands them, he will serve them proudly as president and they shouldn't worry about his hate spewing, bigoted, antisemitic preacher because He didn't ever hear him say those words or preach those sermons and he will not EVER EVer do what Carter did and go hang out with Hamas . He had the nerve to condemn Carter for going over there.  Well that is an ungrateful Obama for you, afterall, Carter has endorsed him for the next leader of the US.

I watched the debate. I wish I hadn't. Now I despise those two more. They are such liars. It is all staged  and phoney. We are so scrrrrreeeeewwwweeeddd folks .

This pastor is from a church in Ft. Lauderdale. Am I ignorant? Is this the common every Sunday sermon being preached in many black churches? I am all for free speech and worship as you like....but I be damned if I will ever go to another "Employer Required" diversity class again.  They sent me twice but this guy tells me that didn't even make its mark. I have nothing to repent for and I will not apologize for something that happened many years ago and I had nothing to do with. I thought I was a pretty decent person but I only keep hearing I should be ashamed of being white, and if I don't repent for being white hell has a place for me.

Listen up all you beer guzzlers..California is proposing to raise the tax on beer from 18 cents for a six pack to $1.80 a six pack.  They hope to fund health care and welfare with it.

Oh My!  Other states will probably jump on the band wagon, including our VEEP Chasing Gov. Crist!

It must have really upset the Beer God because scientist are perplexed by what seems to be like about 17 earthquakes rumbling on the West Coast.  I would be packing up about right now. It sounds like the Big One may be coming!

I was at the gas station (near I-75) and had just gassed up and was coming out after paying. A young man (mid 20's) approached me and asked if I could help him and his family. He said he, his wife and 2 children were nearly out of fuel. They were trying to get home to Naples and could I help. He said the babies had been sitting in the hot car all day and they were desperate.  I looked over at the little toddlers and my heart got soft. I said "OK, I don't have any cash but pull over to the pumps and I will use my card to get you $20 worth of fuel."   He looked at me and said, "that's ok"...and turned his back on me and refused my offer.  I could not believe that what happened actually happened, no, not that some scam artist only wanted money for drugs or whatever, but that I was actually calm and refrained from any derogatory remarks!  I am so proud of myself.  I didn't think I had it in me.
