I walked into the break room today at work and a co-worker was looking so down and on the verge of tears.  I asked her what was wrong and she said she was worried and scared. I asked her what she was afraid of and she said, "I heard that gas was going to be $7 a gal by the end of the year. I will not be able to afford to drive to work. My husband and I won't be able to make it on his salary."  They are a young frugal couple with a 3 year old boy.  I had to tell her we are all afraid and some more than others.

My heart goes out to the Americans that are really starting to get scared and are really starting to feel the pain of the fuel prices and high taxes.  I could only give her a hug and tell her that whatever comes her way will be coming my way and to millions of others in America. We will stand up together and survive.

Then I went home so blue.  I had to really think about why she was hurting and how scared she was.  This is America. We have made it through hard times. I just had to go to a website and remind myself of 9/11.  I had to remember again how scared I was on that day.  How much in shock I was for days to come.  How hopeless everything seemed for about 2 weeks or so.  After watching that video over I got mad.  The assault on us didn't end on 9/11 we are still being assaulted and now it is our economy by oil.  Our enemies from within and on the outside know our weaknesses and we have forgotten our own strengths.

We can band together and take our country back.  Obama isn't our hope, McCain isn't the answer.   It is us.  You and Me. We are the ONLY ones that can do it.

Perhaps you need to revisit the helplessness and heartbreak of  9/11 to motivate you...I know I did.

RandyLoo, I feel for your co-worker. I think it is especially harder for the younger generation just getting started. I can understand her fear and anxiety to go with it as it the prices of just about everything is rising quickly and then having a little child on top of that. She is lucky to have a coworker such as yourself. Sometimes it helps to have someone to lean on only if it's for a few minutes. And your video did bring back such memories of heartbreak, but I really liked what you stated:

"I could only give her a hug and tell her that whatever comes her way will be coming my way and to millions of others in America. We will stand up together and survive." And
"We can band together and take our country back. Obama isn't our hope, McCain isn't the answer. It is us. You and Me. We are the ONLY ones that can do it."

Thank you for the much needed reminder. And your butterfly is really beautiful.

Thats why a motorcycle would be great. At $7.00 a gallon $21.00 will fill the tank and you can ride for a week and a half.

I really dont think a motorcycle is the answer, there is a child involved here, where is she gonna put the baby on the handle bars???
Besides, auto drivers dont pay heed to motorcycles anyhow, they arent the safest vechicle on the road.
Now I'm not saying motorbikes are bad, but I dont think its the most practical way to go, or the safest way to travel. Besides it rains way to much in florida to have to depend on a motorcycle for main means of transportation.

My heart goes out to this young mother, and I commend them for Trying to make ends meet, and sticking it out, All i can say to them is Have Faith, God Loves them, and will see them through. Maybe not in the way they want, but they will survive, and grow in the process.

We all know that the King of Saudi Arabia could solve the current oil crisis.

What many don't know is that there is a competition for auto companies to claim the X-prize for highest fuel-efficiency.
We could also switch the nationwide transit system to maglev trains which DO NOT USE FUEL.
Check it out for yourself

Disney has come up with solutions to the transit problem around here in Orlando.
But our stupid officals refused the ideas due to they think it would giv eDisney too much power.

Whoopiee if the transits all hub out of Disney, its were most our tourists are going anyways.

Thanks guys for your comments.
Adeltonian, Disney was going to build a people mover for Orlando? And they turned them down?
That is business helping people and other businesses. I say use anything and anybody to get us through these harsh economical times.

Grew up in the good ol' 50's and 60's. I am opininated, sappy, sentimental and love my Country..but hate where it is headed (socialists scare the bejeebers out of me). I want to retire but can't afford to do so. Love the outdoors. Believe in right to carry arms for protection and sports. Married to a wonderful guy that knows the way to my heart is buying me a load of potting soil from the rock and gravel man.
