My husband and I were out grocery shopping today and we ran into Rick Dickert, his wife and their daughter. Ladies, brace yourself.... Rick is more handsome in person than he is on TV... and he looks pretty fine on TV! His wife and daughter are both very sweet and beautiful. I introduced myself to Rick, when I told him that I am "Shan's Deb"... He said, “You have blogged with me, right?" (I like that he remembered who I was without me explaining it.) He is very down to earth... just a good guy with a beautiful family. His wife is very friendly and they all took a few minutes to chit chat with us. It is so nice to know that the person we see on air is the real deal. Kudo's to our much respected and noble Rick Dickert!
The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life.
Attitude is more important than the facts.
It is more important than the past, education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than successes, than what other people think say or do.
It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill. It will make or break a company… a church… a home.
The remarkable thing is that we have a choice every day regarding the attitude that we will embrace for that day.
We cannot change our past, we cannot change the inevitable.
The only thing we can do is play the one string that we do have,
and that is our attitude.
I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it.
And, so it is with you.
We are all in charge of our attitudes.

I keep this posted in my office as a daily reminder that life is more about how you handle the journey than reaching the destination.
I thought that some of you fellow bloggers might appreciate these words of wisdom.
If you have something you want to say to me... this would be the place to do it.
