Hello.
I am a first time MyFoxtampabay blog user. I wanted to comment directly on the story but there wasn't a place to do that. So, I signed up. Yippee Me.
Anyway, I rarely voice a comment or concern unless it really affects me.
I watched yesterday on the news a foreclosure story on how normal people would be helped that the number has tripled since last year. This is alarming.

What a complete cold and heartless jerk!
Here is what he said:
"If you can't afford to live in a home, you'll go back to being a renter," said Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson.
He said a couple more things, but it's not written in the article and the video is listed on that page.
I am outraged. I personally heard a story this week of a family that moved in with their children because their house was foreclosed on and they lived in the house for 26 YEARS. Obviously it worked for them for 25 years! For him to say that people just simply paid no down payments and expected the market to go up is just cold!
We purchased our house in 2002. We've had no problem making our mortgage until it went up $600.00 this year (each month). We were on an ARM. I recently lost my part-time job and just expressed gas prices alone are causing us problems and hardship!
I am just livid about his comment and lack of regard for people who are HONESTLY struggling.
We called to get help and were sent back to our mortgage company and pending an approval about our interest rate....................................
(Still pending over 2 weeks ago) and our payment increase is effective in March.
I have two small children. I couldn't see losing my home after doing major remodeling to the home adding 600 sq ft. My husband and I would be heart broken, but there has to be some sort of relief. Everyone is struggling. Look at the numbers.
It's so sad.
