A community in Daytona Beach is talking about a moritorium on new churches. It's something being discussed by the Midtown Redevelopment Board. One member says the large number (about 30) of churches in the area take up valuable property and leave no room for new businesses to move in. Also, churches don't pay tax, or generate tax for the city.

What do you think? Do communities have the right to say churches can't be placed in certain areas? How many are too many?

There's another push to get the words "under God" out of the Pledge of Allegiance and "In God We Trust" off our money.

I haven't been following this from the begining, so anyone out there know more about this guy bringing this back and the timing?

also, I know many of you have stong opinions about this on both sides. so what do think of "God" on coins and in the Pledge?

Sunday ended 40 days of prayer for the Parramore area of Orlando. The operation was a partnership with Orlando Police and area churches.

I'm not sure there's a way to measure the success, but those at the final prayer celebration say they've seen the change.

Can the power of prayer stop the force of violence? and where else would you like to see this? plans are to start doing the prayers in Orlando and Orange County's other hot spots.
